I reserved a king room six weeks ahead of my planned stay. I arrived at the hotel at the time I had noted on my check-in (11pm) and was told I was "given an upgrade" to a one-bedroom suite with a queen bed. Marriott's website indicates "Platinum Premier Elite members will have guaranteed priority for their requested type of bed and room. If guarantee is not met, guest compensation applies." I informed the front desk attendant about this policy and told him a queen is not sufficient. The attendant told me "shit happens, dude" and it was not his fault. I was not given the option of a king room as I reserved, and I was given no compensation or help finding a different hotel (it was midnight at this point) despite Marriott's stated guarantee. The attendant was incredibly rude and the only option he gave me was to cancel my reservation. I will never stay at this property again and will tell everyone I know to avoid it.

The venue was also reasonably priced compared to others in the so called area. The only thing is it's outdoors only, so if you're concerned about weather you may need to get a tent. But they have preferred vendors they can share for that.

During the ceremony, our flower girl dropped natural rose petals down the aisle -- something many brides choose to include. We were surprised to learn at the end of the night that we were expected to pick up every petal ourselves, outside in the cold and damp grass. Additionally, be aware that if you go even one minute past 11:00 p.m., you will be charged $100 per hour for every hour you exceed the time limit. As beautiful as the venue is, the professionalism and attitude of the staff can truly make or break such an important night. Unfortunately, in our case, it detracted from what should have been a joyful and memorable celebration.

Writing that sentence nearly makes my blood boil, and I've had some time to process it. If management is reading this, that fee needs to be hidden in the room rate so your guests don't know about it. Paying for parking at a hotel you've already paid to stay at feels like highway robbery. However, after my stay, I realized that was par for the course. Finally getting over that and realizing I couldn't change hotels because I had prepaid, I reluctantly took my family up to our room. In one word: underwhelming. The worst part is that I was blissfully unaware of what was to come. Following our cold introduction, we encountered scarce room service and filthy rooms. Since housekeeping seemed to be few and far between, people would leave their trash in the hallways outside their doors or pile it up around the trash cans near the elevators. This was my version of the poop cruise. The hallways smelled terrible! That wasn't the worse part. While we were in our room we would take off our shoes to relax only later discovering that our feet started turning black from hidden filth in the carpets. Part of our routine throughout our stay was washing our children's feet before getting their shoes on or getting them into bed. Getting out of bed in the morning meant putting shoes on immediately just to avoid getting our feet dirty.. During our last night, while washing my children's feet before putting them into a bed with a torn-up comforter, I made a promise to myself that I would never stay at this hotel, or any other hotel carrying the same name, ever again. How could they improve? - Hide or better yet remove the parking fees. This is outrageous. - Regular housekeeping, daily. - Try cleaning the carpets and tile. This made it impossible to relax or sleep, and I had no choice but to check out early. No guest should have to leave a hotel they paid for because the room is uninhabitable. What is even more concerning is that after looking at other reviews, I saw multiple guests reporting the same marijuana issue. This clearly shows it is an ongoing problem that management has not properly addressed. Although another room was offered, it was late at night and not reasonable to move, especially with my granddaughter. At that point, the damage to our stay was already done. A non-smoking hotel should enforce its policies and ensure guests are not exposed to smoke. I paid for a service that was not delivered. I am requesting a full refund for the night that was impacted, as well as the return of my deposit. This is the fair and reasonable resolution. If this is not handled appropriately, I will continue to escalate this matter and share my experience on multiple platforms.

I need to thank Rebecca the owner and her staff for the amazing attention to detail of our event. The owner and I sat down 6 months before to plan the itinerary and decorations. I was very flexible with the decorations because I knew Rebecca and her team have wonderful insight in making things look magical from my first event. All I needed to tell her was my daughter's colors and theme and she already knew what would make the hall look beautiful. The day of the party was amazing. The hall was glamorous and more than what I had expected. One of my guest who also owns her our venue said, this event hall was over the top. Esli the DJ did a great job with going over the itinerary, and keeping my guest entertained. The music was tasteful and he understood the direction of what type of vibe we wanted. Drew the bartender was amazing and friendly and knew how to accommodate 250 guest for being the only bartender. Our guest were in great spirits and she also noted if anyone was reaching there limits to make sure the guest were under control and would be safe to drive home. The main server which I can't remember her name was also amazing. The serving staff were on top of all the main menu and all the extra. They executed all the food and extras pastries and snacks perfectly so all our guests could enjoy every item. They also made sure everything looked presentable at the tables after guest ate and drank. We planned many extras within our package like: Porto's bakery, nachos, esquites, items to make tositilocos, Mexican candy, michoacana ice cream, ramen noodles, etc. Every guest walked away saying that this was the best venue and event they have ever attended from the aesthetic of the hall, music, and food. Not sure why all this is not disclosed upfront. Additional items: We bought a pack of "3", sparks for waltz, mangonada and photo booth for $1,000. See picture for total cups of mangonada servings, I counted around 59. Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of the Photo Booth, a complete disappointment. We flew our granddaughter from New Jersey because she moved a year ago and all her friends were here, the Photo Booth was the anticipated event for all the teenagers only to find out there were no props, booth was white and dirty, it broke down. Although they did fix it. The pictures were very low quality and aesthetically displeasing, a true disappointment for all the teens. We were being charged $150.00 to bring our own Photo Booth, had we known ahead of time or asked to see the quality we would have not hesitated to pay the $150.00. Did I mention the bathroom was not very clean, the wine disappeared, a total of 3 bags of cups with 150 each bag disappeared and the many many slices of red velvet cake (my granddaughter's favorite, that she did not try) that were left behind "were tossed/trashed"? I was told a few of our guests asked for cake and were told there wasn't any leftover slices only to walk away and eventually be given cake.... Apparently all the "leftovers" cake slices are not yours so be careful if they cut more cake than needed they end of keeping it. Although we did take home a piece of cake that was not cut. The dessert table when we attended the expo was good dessert, the day of the party was a different quality. I grabbed a chocolate covered strawberry and it was old and mushy, my husband had a chocolate covered pretzel and mentioned it was stale. We wished we could have done a bit more research, my daughter left to New Jersey and booked the first place she found that took care "of everything". I do want to mention that I dealt with Rebecca and she was helpful and responsive. However, transparency , honesty and professional ethics is still lacking.
