My colleague said her burger was one of the worst she's had. My other colleague said his steak was mediocre. People who ordered pizza loved it. An unfortunate mixed bag given the lively environment and nice ambiance. I'd come back again to give it another try because the menu rotates enough where I'm sure I'll land on some better food options next time.

We decide on our coffees, and when the barista asks if we'll have them to stay my dad says yes, which brings a smile to my mind. He suggests we share this berry oat bar thing. One thing I find so charming about his sobriety is his need for sweets. It's somewhere in trainspotting 2 that mark tells spud "you'll always be an addict. You just have to find something else to get addicted to." I think of this when i see him with a big fat bowl of ice cream after dinner and a new exciting hobby every other month. I think of this when I consider what my life might be like if I decide to admit some things to myself sooner than later. But right now it's me and my father, having coffee to stay in cute mugs, no rushing, no changing things, just farting around in a midwest summer.

We visited Rustique about 3 years ago and loved our meal then, so thought we'd share the experience with another couple traveling with us. We were not disappointed this time either. We immediately put in an order for the pesto fries, which were promptly brought out a few minutes later. They were just as tasty as we remember them being. We each ordered 4 different flavors of individual pizza so we could all share and sample each. All four were delicious - and very generous in size for an individual size. We all took home half to 3/4 of each of our pizzas. The drinks may have been slightly over priced for the size served, but each was very good and refreshing. The drink menu had a nice variety of specialty drinks to choose from without being overwhelming, with an option to suit everyone's taste. Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant. DELICIOUS! Such a great atmosphere too. We had the Baked bruschetta dip as an appetizer, Supreme brick oven pizza with all fresh ingredients, and Peroni draft beer. It was the perfect combo! The owners Joe and Katie were very welcoming and friendly. Great music playing overhead and not too loud to have a convo between the 4 of us at the table. The reclaimed barn wood floors are a nice touch and all pictures in the restaurant capture vintage local people/times. Located in an old church so the setting is beautiful. Picnic tables outside for summer. But most of all the pizza is amazing and cooked on a wood fire/open so you can see them hand tossing it. The Club Med pizza is amazing as well as the pesto fries. Also try the Old Fashion or Bloody Mary's here. Fantastic. Love this place. read more
