Very frustrated with their service. We went for dinner as we heard they had a good Sunday Buffet - signs said see bartender for a number for food. Went to bar, got our number and a beer. Was told someone would be with us shortly. Waited and waited. Another couple came in and they were also given a number. Finally finished our beer and we were still waiting with the number prominently displayed on the bar between us. I know they weren't busy as we entered through the dining room and there was hardly anyone there. Well, a party of 4 came in and asked for a number and they were told (by a different bartender) that they could just proceed to the dining room as they weren't busy. We had sat there at least 15 minutes sipping our beer and waiting. TOTALLY UNSATISFATORY. We ended up leaving and grabbing chicken from Festival and just went home. Most frustrating is that we hadn't been there for years because of poor service during previous visits and hoped they'd improve things, but sadly they haven't. Where do I start? Worst ordering and seating system. We waited nearly 40 minutes before we ordered food. During this waiting period we just stood at the bar waiting. Once we ordered we finally sat at a table then waited another hour+ for our food. When the server brought out our food there were several items missing, come to find out they haven't even started those items. Don't get the bluegill, the cost is not worth it. Went to Four Way for food today. Asked for a number for food when we were served our first beer. Twenty-five minutes later we asked our bartender if we could have our order taken. Waitress finally took our order (2 sandwiches & 1 order of fries). 35 minutes later still no food. We were sitting out at the patio bar. Second bartender came out and said that our third beers would be on her. We finally decided to leave when we were done with that beer and still no food. read more

This place has a great outdoor deck which is super nice on a nice day like the day we had. The food was pretty decent. We had some fried frog legs, which were nice and meaty. We also ordered some cajun wings with the sauce on the side. The wings had a nice powder on them, but the sauce on the side was sort of unnecessary except that they were good on the frog legs, so that worked out. Stopped in randomly on a Sunday. They have a brunch buffet on Sundays for only $6. My husband got that and was very pleased with the choices. French toast sticks, biscuits and gravy, mashed potatoes, fried chicken, bacon, eggs, etc. I got the burger which was only a few bucks. Very basic but hit the spot. The bun was just lightly toasted which was perfect. We also got their cheese curds which were great. We sat in the bar area which has a few high tables, or there's the option to sit down the hall in their dining area if you have a bigger group. The bartenders and waitress were all friendly. Went for the breakfast buffet and was extremely disappointed. The buffet was small with one side being breakfast and the other being lunch. There was also a small salad bar, but that cost extra. My family agreed that the food was awful - powdered eggs, pre-made pancakes, no fruit or anything slightly healthy. Some of us tried the lunch side which was fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and some green vegetable that no one ate so not sure what it was - green beans maybe? Anyway, the mashed potatoes and gravy were good but the chicken was undercooked. We all got water at our table, but there was no ice so it was just tepid water; not refreshing. I love going out to eat here as the food is usually very tasty and reasonably priced. But I'm not the biggest fan of the Sunday brunch buffet. A lot of times the chicken will be leftover from the night before, and a lot of the food has been sitting out for a very long time without being replaced. They cater to smokers on the patio. We went once on at an off time (so very quiet at the patio bar) and thought the bartenders were extremely friendly and the food was very reasonably priced... although skip the perch sandwich. Dry fish on rye bread. That's it. Nothing else on it. Anyway, we went back twice to enjoy sports on the patio's TVs while enjoying lunch and the beautiful weather. Both times our visit was spoiled by smokers. Is it even legal to allow smokers to sit right next to someone at a bar, even if it is outside? Bad enough if they are at least at another table but literally on either side of you? Disgusting. Worse yet, our food was delivered by a bartender who was smoking! We won't be back, which is too bad. But after several mix ups, incorrect orders, cold wings and the fact that the size of the wings seemed to keep shrinking each time I went, I have steered away from this place and only gone back twice in the last 9 months. I was very disappointed. We had a work party here. When we first arrived the Hostess had no clue what we were talking about. She went and talked to someone and when she came back we were told, "It must be upstairs" We ordered our food and 3 people who ordered the same thing all thought it was disgusting. Staff was very friendly. But it was so slow. The place is small. And you have to order before you get your table and stand in a crowded bar with a number until a table is open. I think they think that system makes it faster, but it doesn't. Normally, a cook can throw a bunch of orders together, or pick and choose fast tickets to knock out right away. So, our perch plate and burger should take 5 minutes. But their system doesn't allow for that, and we were there for 2 hours before we got our food. read more

We live in the area and have tried many other places for a fish fry on Fridays. We always seem to come back and will continue to do so. When we have guests in town and they want a fish fry we only go to the Foreway. The recent remodeling is fantastic. Love the outdoor patio but hate that table in the dining room right in front of the old main door. Please make it an emergency exit only. The all you can eat salad bar is definitely a plus. Portions and selections are more than adequate. We are fortunate to have the Foreway, Chives and Rustic to choose from. read more

I was extremely disappointed with the service the last two times I dined at Four Way, so much so that I will not be dining there again. About two month's ago, we were given another table's food - which we didn't realize because our order was very similar, only to dig in and find out it wasn't our food. It was not busy at the time, we were the only table in the dining room. In addition, last night, I had the most unpleasant experience I have ever had, ending with a combative bartender telling me I don't understand that the help they employ are teenagers and that I should be more understanding. I do understand and would give the poor server credit for running her butt off, but when we wait for an hour for food with no one even stopping over to ask if we could use a drink...well, that's not necessarily just a teenage server problem, I wonder if they were actually trained appropriately. When our food finally did come (a good hour after we ordered), it was cold and looked like it had been sitting under the heat lights for a significant amount of time. I mentioned something tone appropriate to the waitress (still wanting to try to salvage our experience because we were very hungry) and after a few moments the bartender marched over, promptly grabbed a cheese curd from the dish and popped it in her mouth to test the hotness of the food. I wasn't quite sure what to do after that, maybe I should have offered her ranch to dip it in, that is, if we had it at the time. The server failed to bring any plates or even ask if there was anything else we wanted to drink. After the cheese curd incident, I decided that we were leaving as I was not interested in extending my dining experience. As we were leaving, the bartender was very combative. Had she saids something like I'm really sorry you had a poor experience, I hope you'll give us a chance to try again - or something to that effect, I would have been thank you for recognizing that and I will try again. As we were at the bar initially ordering drinks, there were a few comments made about how they serve their regulars first...apparently they have enough regulars and don't desire to have any more. read more

My brother was in a hurry and mentioned it to waitress she said they'd get him in and they ended up leaving after 45 minutes. We don't drink so wait was very frustrating after an hour. Server recommended the deep fried walleye. She said their walleye is what they are known for. Some of the worst walleye my wife and I have had. Two little pieces that were over done and had poor taste. Very low end quality fish. My wife and I have been to Luigi's, North Chase, South Chase, Farr's grove, Crow's Bar, Redwood, Sandelwood and a handful of others.
