I was so excited and happy when I confirmed they were now within my health insurance network. I immediately made an appointment and can I say, Dr. Zapata has not changed one bit, she's still as professional as she was 10 yrs ago, very nice, answers questions, listens and makes you feel so comfortable I feel like she's known me for a lifetime and always makes you/ patient feel like she's your friend. It's not easy to find a doctor that makes you feel comfortable and takes the time to listen. Most doctors I've dealt with rush you out, dismiss your concerns and are so rude but not Dr. Zapata she's awesome. I'm just glad and blessed to be under her care once again.

She listens, takes copious notes, follows up from prior appointments, and makes sure there's a plan of action. I also understand she's the mentor to the less experienced doctors in the clinic. In fact, the last time we were there - an unexpected visit, which meant we had to see a different doctor - the other doctor, out of the blue, started telling us what a wonderful physician she is and how much he's learned from training with her. This sounds like a ridiculous thing to have to say but in this world of HMO's where you get 7-10 minutes with a doctor who is expected to see 50 patients a day having someone that makes you feel heard and actually cared for is a BIG DEAL. She is calm, smart and attentive. There is a relationship and a consistency built up over time. When I called with a positive COVID test she called back immediately, assessed the situation, prescribed Paxlovid and reassured me she'd be there if needed. When I was depressed dealing with aging parents I called asking for an anti-depressant and she talked me out of it in a very sympathetic manner. When the Pharmacy couldn't fulfill the diabetic medication she prescribed she gave me samples until they finally got the Insurance company to cover it. It took MONTHS! That was amazing. A few days ago I got a copy of my lab results from Quest. I printed it out and highlighted what I needed to ask her about. She answered every question thoroughly. My Cholesterol is High but she didn't immediately jump to prescribing a Statin. Which is what the Insurance companies want to see to justify paying her. She asked about diet, lifestyle, sleep, stress. All the right questions. She's been in practice a long time and has an established personal network of MD's she works with. She referred me over to a very good Endocrinologist and Allergist. I could go on but suffice it to say she is a good GP. Her staff? No complaints. Alondra handles the prescription renewals and has actually been very nice, responsive and helpful. Overall, I am grateful for Dr. Hopkins and relieved I don't have to become a faceless number in the HMO system.

Supposedly this is the primary care. Terrible service, Dr Leon and staff do not care about patients, it's a shame Dr gagneja left and service has gone downhill. Front desk needs better training as well, rude and cold would rather pawn work off then do it.

We found out ourselves as we got a new pcp and new insurance cards out of nowhere. Of course due to Dr. Arasheben's office not notifying us of this change, we ran out of medication refills and had to wait for an appointment with a new PCP. Additionally, while we were still with this doctor's office, they would require visits every 3 months just for medication refills which seemed like a money grab. Overall, I unfortunately don't recommend Thrive CMG.

Really scary to go to a new doctor but even the other doctors in the practice could not get any insurance group to offer coverage, unless you had a PPO or paid cash. The staff and other doctors there are amazing but I had to change to a new doctor that took my insurance. Really sad. I wrote a letter in support of DR O but it seems either the process takes a lot of time for the appeal or the evidence was too strong for reversal. They ran a good office and if one day Dr O is vindicated or they take my insurance again, I would consider returning as a patient.
