Very rude man answering the phones and the soonest appointment is in August. How ridiculous!

The best. She's the first doctor I feel comfortable with and doesn't make me feel like I'm an idiot for being worried, scared, or anxious.

Didn't offer WiFi or the contact number for my insurance carrier. Just... sat there. Didn't offer to look up my account, didn't offer to get my connected to my insurance carrier, didn't offer to have me fill out paperwork while they handled it either. I asked for the number and she gave it to me. I walked out to call my carrier, gave her the insurance number. I was brought back after a few minutes (my appointment time was skipped over because of the odd standoff up front). The nurse or PA was quite diligent with his forceful, commanding instructions. Albeit, he was very, very clear on where to turn down the hallway and what door to walk through and what chair to sit in. Would I have been more entertained by his mannerisms had I not had such a bizarre time up front? I don't know if I can honestly answer that. He refused to call me by my middle name, the name I go by. The name on my identity cards, the name on my account even. I decide to explain why I'm frustrated after my experience up front, and apologized for my intensity upon walking in, to which he argued with me about literally every single word that came out of my mouth. Every. Single. Word. Granted, I wasn't the kindest about my front counter experience. I gave him the information he asked for, offered to give him whatever data he couldn't pull up on the computer. Previous bloodwork, ultrasounds etc. then Blood pressure vitals taken etc. I apologize AGAIN and he proceeds to holler at me for the name argument. Telling me I'm arguing with him and he hollers as he storms out of the room. Look... I'm scared. I'm a at specialist because I need a specialist to help me. I don't need front desk to be rude. Complacent. Unhelpful at best. Then the nurse or P.A. To be condescending at unbelievably argumentative. I left without being seen by Dr Tavanaei (don't even know if that's the doctor seeing me because I can't read the name written out on my paperwork they gave me). Now I have to go back to the drawing board and find a nephrologist to see if I'm, you know, dying or something. But hey, so glad that dude feels powerful putting me in my place and the front desk ladies got their job handled. Also... they should inform their patients that their parking garage is cash only.

I'd skip this place. The doctor basically works via phone call only. The front desk staff turnover…read moreis alarmingly high. Basic things like records requests, referrals, and prescriptions take an unreasonable amount of time and effort on the part of patients. Basically, you have to volunteer as a temporary, part-time manager and ensure the staff does their job until they fulfill your request. With all the providers working in this area, Prime Care Physicians should be your last resort.

Ok, so I was with them for years. My advice: if you know what to expect from them you can just…read moreabout manage. If you need anything that goes beyond the bare bones, go elsewhere. The ONLY contact you are going to get from them is via email to the front desk. You will never get a response if you call. Ever. If you need refills or need to make a non urgent appt (eg. in about a month), just email and someone like Tori will sort out the prescription or just give you a slot with Jacklyn Sarkissian (who is wonderful when you actually see her). If you want anything that is a bit more complicated... the email will be ignored by the office manager. Don't even get me started about him. In a nutshell I ended up leaving them last month after I happened to find out they were no longer going to accept my insurance. Again, I called and left three emails to ask about what was happening... but no one bothered to return any enquiries because (i assume) I was no longer a patient and they didn't feel like informing me of anything as important as that. Like I said, you are going to get awfully frustrated if you want to talk to anyone on the phone, or if what you're seeking is a bit complicated (especially if you have questions), or if you have any concerns regarding scheduling or office clerical things, but the doctors are nice when you do actually see them. The only reason I stayed so long was because i knew how to deal with them, and other PCP's in this are are even worse.
