We went specifically to see the Flags of Valor. This was the first time we had seen them. We ended up going on the last day and there were a lot of people there. We finally found a place to park and walked back to the flags It was extremely moving and impressive. It was explained to me that the flags are there every five years. It's not always the same display - different groups from September 11 are featured so there are a different number of flags. There are dog tags and photos on the flag poles. There are notes people have written. This year there were 7,650 flags. They're all in perfect lines. The flags this year honored every life lost in the War on Terror - the victims, the first responders of 9/11, and those that who have since succumbed to related illnesses or PTSD. I'm so glad I heard about it and that we were able to go.

It is so comparative to Central Park in Manhattan in terms of grandeur and liveliness. I don't know if you could walk Forest Park in a day and feel like you saw everything because it winds around and there are smaller trailers that pop in and out of nowhere. Surprisingly, I do not think the city takes care of the park, but an established group called Forest Park Forever, whose history starts back in the 60s, or 80s? They are a group of volunteers who tend to the park - every part of it, in every season, and really beautify it! There is security on patrol often enough so it's not too isolating and scary. There are parking lots closer to the main attractions. There is also street parking here, which adds to it being active but a park you can drive through, bike, and walk.

Mick starts with the fundamentals of the golf swing and evolves into using the camera work and technology to really dial in the swing and to enable certain "feels" in the golf swing. We are always going back to fundamentals while working on improving athleticism in the golf swing. I was pretty baffled, I've owned many drivers and never had a shaft snap like that. I called Pro Am and spoke to Rob, and within about two hours Cobra was already sending me a new shaft. I was really impressed with Rob and all of Pro Am Golf. You can't find that level of customer service many places these days. Rob even followed up with me a few days later to let me know the shaft was being delivered the next day and to be on the lookout for it. Really impressed with these guys.

We love the chipping range to get a few swings in before the driving range. One complaint is it's busyyyyy. All the time. We haven't had an issue getting a spot but they are few and far between. And it seems people claim and sit on them for a long time. We also don't love hitting right into the sun. If you go after work, you have to time it right otherwise you can't see anything. BUT we love that we can drive off grass!!! We've heard it's not always like this, but we go during the week and it's not usually on mats, which is awesome for preparing to actually golf. Great spot, great place to hit some balls.

Greens fees were inexpensive, especially as a guy used to paying Phoenix green fees. Green fees and rental clubs worked out to about $100. What a deal. Thanks to the pro shop staff for being so welcoming as well.

It was decorated beautifully and there was ample space for people to mingle and sit. While our event offered wine, they have a bar upstairs for other drinks/snacks. I got a class of champagne that was pretty good but nothing to write home about. The highlight of my night was playing on the putter they gave outside. When we arrived, we found a free parking spot on the street near the south entrance. It was a rainy morning but the animals were a bit more active, if anything. There are some attractions that have a charge, including the train, the carousel, the sea lion show and an animatronic dinosaur exhibit. Because there were 6 of us and we wanted to ride the train, we went ahead and paid for an annual membership instead. Unfortunately, after the rain cleared up, there were some technical problems and the trains didn't run at all on the day of our visit. We all enjoyed the dinosaur exhibit and the sea lion show was super cute! We probably only saw a third of the animals on our visit so I look forward to returning soon to see more animals and ride the train!

The zoo is much bigger than I expected, with plenty of exhibits to explore. The animal habitats also felt spacious, and the animals looked healthy, active, and well cared for. It means they have areas where they can get away from visitors and have some privacy, and I really appreciate that. The staff were wonderful too. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and clearly cared about both the animals and the guests. My favorite exhibit was easily the penguins. You get incredibly close to them, and it's such a fun experience watching them waddle around, dive into the water, and zip past underwater like little torpedoes. I could have stood there for ages just watching them. The polar bears were another highlight. Seeing such massive animals swimming and roaming around up close is always impressive, and they had plenty of room to explore. There are so many different animals here that it's easy to spend most of the day wandering from exhibit to exhibit. It never felt rushed, and there was always something new around the corner. Overall, this is a fantastic zoo. Whether you're visiting St. Louis, looking for a family outing, or just want to spend a relaxing afternoon, it's an easy recommendation.
