They even had a small track for the younger crowd. There were also batting cages, mini golf, and an arcade! The big outdoor activities are pay by the hour for endless options. I've been driving by this place for years but this is the first time we have visited for a birthday party during the week. The place was pretty busy on a Wednesday and we were able to get checked in quickly. The kids went outside and most jumped in line for the boats first. My daughter probably rode these 10 times she was soaked and having so much fun. We did the go karts once which was a longer line when you need a double to ride with young kids but it was a lot of fun. This spot has been down the road from me for years and I have not had a chance (or reason) to visit until recently. I was hanging out with my friend's kiddo for the day (12 year old boy) and he wanted to check it out since it has go- carts, bumper boats, an arcade, mini golf, batting cages, etc. It really is a dream place for a kid to play. We visited on a Friday and since I had not been before, I visited the desk to ask about the options for play. I wanted to get a lot of activities for the kiddo to do, but I only really wanted to do a round of mini golf as well as 1 try on the go-carts so she helped me put together a good plan of action with the right amount of credits for both of us. He had the best time playing all of the games and really enjoyed the batting cages a lot. It was such a fun way to spend a few hours and I am glad that we went. The mini golf was alright, but nothing too fancy. Just basic hitting a ball, the obstacles were not crazy hard and some of the holes had damage to them, but it was still a good time. Heaven. I'm nearly forty and I smiled for two hours straight. Those go karts were ridiculously fun, my kids loved the bumper boats and all the other attractions. Rode the go-carts, played miniature golf, and played games in the arcade. We wanted to hit some baseballs but you need to bring your own helmet. They have single and double go-carts. The single go-carts are not for grown ups because the pedals were 2 feet closer than normal. My quads ached when I stood up. They have 3 different 9 hole miniature golf courses. From the Batting Cages to the Go-Carts, to Bumper Boats friendly family competition is where it is at. We never really spend time indoors here unless it is for a Birthday Party. Got here at opening and had to ask for someone to swipe our card at the bumper cars because no one was paying attention. Then had to ask for help again with the putters for put put because they where not available and in their spot. Then got done with that and wanted to do the batting cages. They did not work and took forever for someone to fix it. They have enough staff but they talk to each other in groups and don't make sure stuff is available and working and to swipe your cards. So if you waste your money buying a 2 hr pass for play you will spend half your time or more waiting on help or having to walk to the front desk to ask for help. I had my daughters birthday party here, while we were super bummed that we couldn't go outside to enjoy all those attractions they made up for it by switching us indoors due to the inclement weather and as per their agreement. From the start and being greeted at the Birthday Check in counter they listened and helped with my worries/concerns without hesitation (never did a kid's birthday before) being that I never had tried to throw a birthday for my kid. They handled that like pros!! Our party Hostess Reagan was phenomenal and did such an awesome job!! She made sure everything ran smoothly and everything was taken care of. All the guests were pleased and hope to return another day when the weather is good and we can enjoy the other attractions they have to offer. My family enjoys coming here to ride to carts but I'm currently here waiting in line for go carts for a birthday party. Unfortunately they only have 13 go carts going currently with 3 not being used because there wasn't enough double riders... when they could let single riders ride them. We came here for their 2023 end-of-season Halloween special ($10/hr. unlimited; free s'mores, candy, balloon artist, & costume contest). While I do understand the manpower complaints, I will say the young men & women working 10/26/23 were professional, courtesy, & accommodating, The park grounds were well kept; the building was clean; & all the attractions were operational. This place sucks pickles!!!! It was Spring Break for nearby schools this week & the temps were perfect. Swing-a-Round was open for business but the place was under repair! There were no signs outside to indicate this. Did they let me know when I paid...NO! Did the manager offer at least a partial refund when I spoke to her...NO! They were doing maintenance on 2 of 3 mini golf courses, the bumper boats were down for maintenance, too. Everytime my boys went inside for the bumper cars, they were filling them with air. The only thing my boys did was the batting cages. C'mon! Use some common sense! Maintain the place during off or slow hours or close for maintenance all together. But don't open if you're going to have maintenance people walking all over the place, carrying large rolls of outdoor carpet & mechanics working here, there & everywhere. I'm done with Swing-a-Round! I love the put out and you can spend hours in the cages, playing golf or riding the go karts. So much fun with or without the kids

My 8 year old son and I paid for two, two hour passes, we were in line for the go-carts, there were a massive group of kids, they were butting in line, and there was another mom and her three kids in front of us. It took forever for us to ride, the worker said that they can't control the line. And we had one hour left on our cards and just left. I was so fed up with the situation and we just left. I do not recommend this place to anyone, spend your money at a better place with better employees read more

This was our first time here. Weather for October was decent, but a stiff breeze made it challenging. The holes have a few obvious tricks, but the lie around each hole can be deceptive. The score card is a little large. I folded it in half to be able to pocket it better, but I got confused and thought I'd missed scoring a hole, but the attendant explanation caused me to find the error. This course is embedded in the hillside, so there are some steps and grade differences, which makes it interesting, but may be a little difficult for some. We'll probably return again. (There also a radial batting cage. The building holds the restroom, cashier and concessions.) read more

I got nothin' to complain about. Been here All.Day. I mean All. Day. and still can't think of a single thing to complain about. (I still feel a subtle vibration in my body from all the go-carts. But that's my fault really. No one made me ride them 17 times.) Place is well-maintained, young folks working are pleasant - no one's in a particularly wonderful mood, but they're not rude or grumpy either - and they do a good job. The bathrooms are surprisingly clean. They are generous with their ride times. You get a decently long time on each ride and I think their prices are really reasonable. That being said, if you come at a busy time, you may have to spend some time waiting in lines (go-carts especially) because they do let everyone ride for a significant amount of time. So just avoid peak times and you'll likely barely wait, if at all. TIP: Sign up - right now - for their fabulous Birthday Club online for each member of your family (not just for kids) and you'll get an email for an unlimited pass for a day of frivolity for FREE, to be used within a 2 week period around your bday. These are the rudest people I've met, I took my daughter and her boyfriend here a few weeks ago and I purchased 3 passes that allowed us to do multiple things. We tried the batting cages first and the balls were coming in about ankle high. Then we went to ride the go karts and they were running so slow that people were having a hard time climbing the hill. We decided to request a refund and leave. The kid behind the counter said they wouldn't give us a refund and I told him to get the manager. We did the hour for 9.99 which was perfect. The go cart track was very smooth and my 2 year old who is very tall actually made the cut off and was able to ride with a parent which was fantastic. I always felt like getting behind the wheel of our tiny Corolla was like driving a go-kart. Until I drove a real go-kart and realized 78 on the highway doesn't come close to 25 on the track. SAR has a night's worth of activities for every member of your family - even the littlest ones and the scardiest girlfriends. The go-kart track is fantastic. Once you realize you can't flip the suckers, it gets a lot better. The funniest thing is the cars are sponsored by local businesses! I wondered aloud if the #8 Pasta House car drove as bad as their food tasted. The mini-golf is need of a rehab, but it's still entertaining. Swing-A-Round Fun Town was a blast for this little girl I was babysitting and myself. She had been here previously and showed me around and what not. We had some coupons which took a great deal off the expense of the whole experience. For $26, we each had around of 9 hole golf, batting cages, bumper boats, and one go in the double seater go-karts. The coupons saved us $15. Thanks goodness for them. The golf course was an easy play for the entire family. The course isn't difficult, but it does have a little challenge in it for the youngsters. If you're a pro golfer, this course would definitely offend you with their pseudo sand bunkers. Go-karts were fun. The track has a few winding spots. If you're looking to go crazy in a turn, accelerate on the gas and go for it! The little girl loved me living life on the edge when we did this, I tell you. Batting cages are fun. They offer different ranges from 'soft ball' throws to 'extremely fast' throws for the baseball enthusiasts. Her and I stuck to the soft ball cages. As time progressed, our hitting the balls got better. You get 14 throws per cage token. Bumper boats were my favorite. Before babysitting that evening, I had no idea that I was going to be getting soaked by the water guns provided on the bumper boats themselves. It was a blast, and I ended up being drenched after all was said and done. To think she wasn't even spraying me that much, it was actually a couple of other kids that attacked me. Go fig. We booked a party for our son's 6th birthday after he had a great time at a friend's party here. Everyone had a great time and it was very affordable! They made him feel very special and were very hospitable. The party was on a Thursday night, so it was not that busy and that was bonus. Booking during the week saved us some money too. Upon arriving, there was a big sign outside the party room that was personalized and said happy birthday. He thought that was so cool. Included in the package price was a tattoo that he got to choose from a huge board of selections. The kids ran around for about 10 minutes in the game room while the pizza cooked. The hostess served the pizza, drinks and cake. After the food he opened his presents and the hostess wrote down all the gifts and who brought them. We chose two activities for the kids to do so following the food and gifts. We went outside and did bumper boats first. The bumper boats were a huge hit. The next activity was go karts and they were humorously slow, but perfect for 5-7 year olds. Finally we finished inside with video games. To summarized, the kids had a blast and it will be a great childhood memory for our son. The entire staff was super friendly and made sure interact with him and call him by his name. It's one of those places where you didn't think it was great until you took a ride around the block and realized it's one of the best places for mini-golf in town! I initially started my interest in mini-golf at Swing Around fun town, at first I wasn't particularly fond of the somewhat cheesy decor and sometimes floating scents of the motor oil or dirty pond water. But after going to a few other places subsequently, I couldn't wait to get back to this mini course. There are three courses each with 9 holes. The quality of the courses are far superior than any other mini golf place I've been to in st. louis, in terms of the quality of the decor (though cheesy, it's kept up well), and the uniqueness of the courses (each with a different challenge). The go-karts are... well somewhat scary since you feel like they might easily fall apart on you... but on the plus side, if you are usually a grandma driver like me, you will feel like a bad ass driving these. I was going maybe 20 miles per hour on those puppies and beating all the other kiddos. All in all, it's a great place for clean fun! an alternative to the normal st. louis adulthood activities of bar crawling and club hopping. read more

Terrible experience here today. They have recently started giving birthday parties "fast passes" for all of the rides (go-karts, bumper boats, etc), which resulted in is waiting over 50 minutes and still never getting into a go-kart. No one told us this was the case until we were passed over multiple times even though it was our turn. Had we known this we would have never gotten in line with a 4-year old. The only saving grace was the extremely understanding manager who gave us a full refund. read more
