I…read morethink it's great being cautious with this covid and every Dr. Office I've been as long as as people have on their masks when entering they can walk in out of the cold and wind and so their information in private and then sit down. This office has a table and women standing in the door asking every question imaginable, (exp do you have a runny nose ,blah blah and do you have diarrhea?) out loud for everyone to hear the responses and they spray your hands take your temperature before going in. Even if you know the drill she keeps going on and you just keep saying no like she has been programmed and can't stop from her routine. Then as you walk in another one had a clip board out loud where it is not private says: Do you still live at...... Do you still have the same insurance..... What's your Birthday..... Everyone in the waiting area can hear your responses and write down your address I am serious!!! This is the 2nd time dealing with this and I can see other people's expressions as well like really!??? What happen to privacy? These working the door certainly don't practice that! This is the only part I can not stand about going here. Otherwise the Dr. Is great. When leaving you don't stop to make any appointments you just leave and they will call when the next appointment is due for you to come in.

The nurse, Danya, was very friendly and personable. She took my vitals while chit chatting about this and that and acted as we were long lost friends. She left he room and within a couple minutes, the PA Tami Ford came in to go over bloodwork results. all the times I've been here before the doctor never came in until 10 or 15 minutes passed. She treated me with professionalism and respect, listened to my concerns and even talked about my prescriptions and how they counter act with each other. As long as the office keeps it up this way, I wont dread coming to see my doctor.

It has been over 20 something weeks that my asthma is now under control with the first medication and inhaler he prescribed!! Before moving here I had been trying to get rid of a cough I had for over a year, it was so bad and sometimes embarrassing when around people they would look at me like I was diseased. Amazing it took this Dr who I went to one time to send me for a test that showed him what I had. Yet in Nevada I went to more than one dr and no one knew what was wrong, after countless medications like antibiotics and cough syrup etc. Dr. Schafer has been a Dr. In this town for many years so it's nice he knew what I needed and helped me. He told me as long as I stay on the medication and inhalers it would be "controlled" but it never go away. Also that it's completely safe what I'm taking which made me feel better about it today If your looking for a pulmonary Dr don't hesitate he is a great Dr and he makes you feel totally comfortable with him as well. I won't need to go back now for another 6 months as long as everything stays the same.

A few days would pass without relief and I would call Dr. Bennett's office to schedule an appointment. Due to my situation, they placed me on standby for any cancellations and my wait wasn't very long. During my visit with Dr. Bennett, he would immediately provide a different diagnosis and provide the medication to make me well, and I did get well. I have nothing but praise for the man and his staff and worry that he will retire one day and I will be left at the mercy of who knows. You can be prepared to wait past your appointment time, but he does take his time with his patients and you cannot always predict the time he will spend with you. Be kind to others and realize that they too have questions that need answered just like you will.

More personal…read moreattention would be nice, but that's the issue with all family practices I have been to across the U.S. The biggest issue is scheduling of appointments and the wait times. The past 3 visits, this year, have been increasingly unbearable as far as wait times - minimum of 1hr to 2hrs in the waiting room, plus 45 minutes to one hour on top of that in the exam room after the 5-10 minute visit with the nurse, and before the 10-15 minute visit with the doctor. The wait times seem to have increased at least double fold since last year. Additionally, it is often difficult to schedule appointments within a reasonable time frame - often the wait time is a minimum of 2 weeks, and often over a month or even two to three. There was a single occasion that I was able to get a same day appointment when I was extremely sick recently, which made me happy, however, I ended up spending 3 hours at the office, feeling quite miserable, and unfortunately the antibiotics prescribed to me I was resistant to - would have been nice if they tested me initially and had that information on file, but most doctors fail to do so (except for one WALK IN CLINIC (!!) in VA that did so right away). So as a result of that, I spent the better part of the month barely able to function due to a severe sinus infection that left me disoriented and dizzy.

Will tell you that they will call you He gets a text message saying he's about to receive a call then no one answers He stayed on hold for two hours yesterday waiting on someone to answer and no one ever did. They also will not answer In the patient portal Messaging system. Facebook says this is a very common thing. I've been reading thousands of post by people with the same issue. They messed with the wrong one this time.

When moving here I was actually afraid of seeing a new Dr. But my parents come here as well and they like her. I have to say everyone seems friendly and nice to deal with. When you go in they check your temp before you walk to the back. Then check your weight and bring you in a room and does your BP. You never have to wait long before the Dr comes in. I have to say Everytime I have been here between her and the nurse practitioner that I have seen they are very thorough and professional. They don't make it a dreaded place to go. The Dr. Always rules out other things before just assuming and treating you. I felt like a guinea pig now in Vegas Everytime I went they "assumed" or thought you had something without going the extra mile. I actually never thought I'd like a Dr as much as I did the ones I had but here I am happy and glad I came here so far. I also like when you need to be seen you can make a appointment or walk in to see the Dr. or Pa On call and your records stay in the same place. If your looking for a new Dr. Come here!

This Dr. Has been here or has been a Dr for over 20 years so I'd say she has seen everything by now. I had one spot on my back where one mole or freckle was removed and near it I had a spot that felt odd and bothers me at times. She said nothing there but could be what's called a trapped nerve! I've never heard of that before but it is always the same area and when it runs against my clothes it drives me nuts! ( I'm sure I am not going crazy I promise! Lol) She was knowledgeable on everything I needed to know. They just recently sold out so they are now doing everything by lap top / ipad and it was a bit longer because they were learning the system. Otherwise it was a good visit,I'd highly recommend this Dr. If you need one. She was down to earth and very personable made you feel comfortable while doing her exam. And the employees were all very nice & friendly.

Then my husband had a follow up for his surgery on the new appointment day. This was not going well. I thought they would dump us for sure. I WAS WRONG!! These amazing people just rolled along with us on this journey. The office atmosphere is pleasant and very clean. The staff are all rock stars who know how to be both efficient and yet friendly at the same time. I think if the appointment had been an hour longer it would still have been great! The folks got us in and back out in no time flat and they did it without sacrificing our care. That is a skill quite lacking in most offices these days. I can't wait for our follow up!
