Two days ago my knee began to swell and hurt with intense burning and pain. I went to Zeeland hospital where they took an x-ray and said it's not broken. (I already knew it was not broken!) they wrapped it up and sent me home with a note it was a sprain. Next morning my knee was all bright red. Frustrated with the hospitals results I called Crystal, at Shugula's office! I had explained to her the situation she was able to squeeze me in to be seen!!!!! Johnny on the spot! I was in a car…read moreaccident 9 months ago and completed an entire treatment plan of chiropractic adjustments at a different practice until they said I was on "maintenance" even though I was still having severe neck pain, fatigue and numbness on left side of my face with headaches. I did a treatment plan of Physical therapy which helped some, but still did not resolve all of my symptoms. I was at my wits end when I called and scheduled with McAlpine chiro. For the first time since my accident, I finally felt heard and could sense his genuine compassion and eagerness to want to help me. After the first two adjustments I already had relief from the pain that I had for 8 months. Soon my mood improved, my extreme fatigue started to go away, and the pain was minimal. For 8 months my whole life was on pause. I was a completely different person. Once I went to McAlpine Chiro, I started making plans for activities with my family again! After x-rays, an assessment of my pain areas, he completely explained what he needed to do to help me. He is a good listener and takes his time with patients, giving them individual care with no rushed feeling. After a few treatments, I'm happy to report, I'm in good shape. Twisted wrong and could hardly tie my shoes or get dressed. Hands down this has to be the easiest PT around to work with. Call them directly, they contact your doctor for the referral. Friendly front desk, easy to schedule with, great to work with. One on one, not one PT with 2 or more patients. Had a few weeks scheduled but within a week and a half and doing my "homework" I was "back on track ". I have had 2 sessions with Craig Stassio and I'm not exaggerating when I say it has already changed…read moremy life. I have had chronic low back pain for the last 18 years and have seen multiple doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors, fascia body workers, mental health professionals of different styles, acupuncture, the list goes on. I've tried yoga, pilates, running, swimming, stretching, different strength training and none of it helped at all, in fact, most of them made my pain far worse. After hearing "nothing is wrong with you" by so many professionals I accepted that the pain may never get better. I discovered PRI and the more I learned the more I found similarities in my symptoms. Simio is a 2.5 hour drive from me but I am so incredibly grateful to have them and the drive is nothing compared to the results and pain relief they have provided me. I no longer have to use any pain medication, I can stand all day at work with little to no pain (where before I would be in near unbearable pain the entire time), I am virtually pain free at home. The best part is that with the reduction in pain, my mood has improved and my energy and space for others has vastly improved. I am so thankful, and I'm only on my second visit.
