In December 2023, the bar came under new management & there have been a lot of upgrades since then. Street parking & a small bar lot. Parking is limited... which brings me to a gentle warning: If you are going to the river for a day trip, I do not recommend parking here and leaving the bar. People get towed. The patrons of the bar are mostly regulars/locals who have developed a relationship with the bar staff, & they have an idea of whose cars are whose. I would not play that game of parking your car here and going to the river. That said, if you're coming back from the river and looking for a place to eat, I'd definitely park it here.

Although the wait can be long at times, the staff are always friendly and communicative. I've visited many times and have never had any issues. The Tacos Tijuana are a perfect example of just how good the food is--extremely simple, yet balanced and delicious. The shrimp in the Surf & Turf is some of the best I've ever had. I even enjoyed it reheated, which says a lot. The Enchiladas Mexico are excellent on their own and an even better way to enjoy the many sauces La Costita has to offer. The Burrito Costita Especial looks just as good as it tastes and is my personal favorite entrée. Last but not least are the Taquitos. They're something special and have kept me coming back for years.
