a room with a hard wood floor

RV Wood Floors works quickly and efficiently. I was given a quote and the next day, the team was working on repairing my floor. The price was very reasonable comparing to other companies. Will definitely recommend this company.

Rodrigo (owner) came out to give us an estimate, we agreed on a price and he gave us a start date. His employees showed up and rushed the job on this vacant property. They were simply careless. This should have been a breeze. Instead, it was a nightmare!! Rodrigo was supposed to put down 3 coats of poly per agreement. After a sloppy first coat, he said the job was complete. When I asked about the number of coats applied he said that he used a sealer but previously declined to use a sealer because of the job size. The floors looked horrible! There was shavings in the poly everywhere and areas missed by the roller, dull spots, shoe prints and light scratches. Rodrigo also agreed. He stated, "My name is behind my work, I will fix it and make you happy." He began to show me pictures of his happy customers in Greenwich, Westport and the Stamford areas. His workers started buffing and applying 2nd coat of poly before the 1st coat was completely dry. i contacted Rodrigo and he stated that it was fine to apply because it dried overnight. After 2nd coat was completed late evening, the workers left several windows and the front door open during a 30 degree weather night. My heat cycled on and off for the entire night and as you ca imagine, the floors were ruined. The poly bubbled throughout the 1st floor and several areas were flaky and peeling. Rodrigo sent his workers out to check the floors. They tried to hand sand and applied poly but there were just too many areas to touch up. I tried calling Rodrigo but he never answered or returned my call. 5 weeks later I have not heard from Rodrigo and the floors continue to peel and look worse with time. Save yourself the aggravation and stay away for this guy/company. They are sloppy crooks!! UPDATE! Rodrigo finally showed up 1.5yrs later after my wife messaged him and threatened to post pictures of our floors on Facebook. He agreed to stop by and take a look. He came and offered us a refund. I was very happy to accept but he had another offer on the table. He wanted to personally re-do the floors. We agreed on the 1st floor to start in (4) months and 2nd floor at a later date of our choosing. Rodrigo offered to stain our floors before applying poly. Obviously, the refund was very appealing to me but his offers were more appealing to my wife. Since she contacted him in the first place, I left the decision up to her. The 1st floor was completed while we were away in July. The floors came out BEAUTIFUL! We chose a Provincial Stain and it really enhanced our floors. It really brought out the wood grain. We are happy with it this time. Hope he will be available to complete 2nd floor as promised when we need it. Until then, 3.5 stars rating

Left my house filthy with sawdust. I had to call back to CLEAN UP, duh?!

I initially deleted my review because I felt bad, but I feel compelled to accurately review them. I…read morecurrently live in a historic home and wanted my front door restored. The communication was challenging. It was difficult to narrow down specific times for them to get the work done and they were never proactive about reaching out for updates on the progress of the project. It took over 3 months to actually complete the project, with constant confusion over who was the correct contact person. I thought they did a good job initially, however within 1 month, the door had already cracked in three places. After spending close to $3000 for their work, I am fairly disappointed in the final product and the overall process.

These guys presented a complete estimate indicating just what needed to be done and why. I decided on using them and they did a professional job and provided detailed pictures of the work being done so I would have visual evidence for my insurance company. I recommend them. They do accept credit cards but pass on the four percent charge to customers. And they take checks. One thing you also need to understand, all of this was done basically by remote control. I left for FL to have an operation and these guys kept me updated. You might think there is better but I doubt it. So pleased. Added a few photographs of work being completed. You can see the job being done. My insurance adjuster was surprised that a company provided their client ongoing photographic proof of the job being done. And just had them back and their estimate to do additional work on garage beat the competition. (June 2015)
