I asked why so late and he informed me the appointment was anytime between 7 and 8 and onsite maintenance was not available until 8. I called BS on that nonsense. Since he was yelling and talking over me I disconnected the call. After 8 am Dawn called. I asked why the tech couldn't get here by 7 and Dawn started spouting the same "7-8" window lies. I reminded her about the 10 minute conversation we had about how I am not a morning person and she offered to change it and I said, no, it's fine I will be ready at 7 am on Monday. She offered to call in advance and I said not necessary, I will be sure to be here and up and ready. She said she remembered the conversation but said 7-8 ----- a lie. I told her that since I was now working (in that room) they were welcome to reschedule to after 5 pm but she would have to speak to my landlord or the onsite maintenance. Dawn was also yelling and talking over me so I disconnected. (A simple apology from Dawn, rather than a double-down on a lie might have been a better tactic.) Dawn called back and proceeded to insult me. I won't be taking her calls again. In the midst of a pandemic, it isn't easy to allow strangers into your home. I don't know who they are or where they have been, of if they are following any precautions. There has to be an added level of trust in any in-home work, and I think that would be evident to any professional. In my opinion Quick Response Fire Protection failed to offer even the most basic level of customer service and trust, never mind the additional professionalism needed at this time.
