Gas line emergency! Neighbor smelled gas and SDG&E found a slow leak in an 80+ year old line. Suffice to say I needed it fixed FAST. The RWB crew arrived early the next morning and worked HARD digging a 100-ft trench across 2 yards (through our delightful San Diego clay). We recently moved into a modular home in Lakeside. The 40-gallon water heater was 12 years old and performing poorly; one shower every two hours, and not even a full hot shower at that! So we saw the positive reviews on Yelp for RWB and gave them a call. We also had ASI give us a bid- theirs was $2000 more for the same brand and same warrantee. Response times by text were almost instant, and about 5 days after the initial call we were enjoying a new 50 gallon water heater. Michael was friendly and efficient during the installation. I'll start by just saying my experience with RWB Plumbing Services was EXCEPTIONAL! I attempted to close a valve on my laundry box and broke the fitting off. Water was spraying everywhere. I shut off the water meter valve and went to work on Yelp at 6:30 in the morning. I used the cool Yelp feature to send a message to nearby plumbers with a description of my problem and a photo. Ric from RWB was the first to reply. He knew exactly what needed to be done and gave me an estimate on first contact. Throughout the morning several other plumbers nearby replied to the Yelp message. Most of them were WAY above RWB's estimate! Many of them were booked for the day and just brushed me off. Ric was actually booked for the day too but said he would squeeze me in to at least do an emergency tap on the laundry box and come back the next day to finish the work. Did I mention Ric was 50 miles away?!? He knew how important it was to get the water back on for my family and was more than willing to make the drive. Ric gave me an estimated time of arrival that would have him driving straight through to get here. He later sent me a message and asked if I could support shifting the arrival time by 30 minutes so he could just get the parts today. This meant he would fix everything on the spot and not need to come back tomorrow. Uh ... YES PLEASE! Ric showed up right on time and went to work. Very professional. He brought everything he needed into the laundry room without needing to make multiple trips back and forth to his work truck. He obviously knew exactly what he was doing. He worked quickly and efficiently. He showed me how to slowly pressurize the water lines inside the house to prevent damage and made sure to check the solder points several times throughout the process. He cleaned up the work area and left my laundry room much cleaner than he found it. He held to his estimate and made sure I had his company contact information as well as his personal cell phone number if we needed anything else. Recently, my 6-year old Rheem tankless water heater failed and was covered for replacement under warranty. Unfortunately, the warranty did not cover installation. We moved into a fixer upper. I had some water leaking out the bottom of my wobbly toilet and noticed the bolts weren't tight. Tightened them, still had the leak.
