The employees at BBC Steel are notoriously rude and have a 'i don't care about customer service' attitudes. But I needed a bunch of parts cut out of metal so I decided to give BBC Steel's laser cutting service a try. I ordered about 100 parts cut and was told it would be ready in 7-10 days. I've called to check on it every couple of days and it's been a month and I still can't get them to do the job they promised. Now I am trying to find someone else on short notice to get it done because BBC Steel won't even give me a date they will have it done by. They just told me to wait and when it's done they'll call ME. Sorry for inconveniencing you, but I'm trying to run a business too??? Save yourself time and money, take your business somewhere they'll appreciate it and treat you like they want your business. Some Other local steel suppliers are American Steel, Metrofab, Cascade Steel, Ram Steel (they also offer laser cutting).

June 9, 2026 Over the past six years we've utilized Preferred Landscape Services (PLS) for…read moremultiple projects and have always been pleased with the final product. They installed our beautiful paver patio with a french drain 5 yrs and did an awesome job!! We had no hesitation when scheduling PLS to power wash the patio and replace the polymeric sand. I asked Dave what the power washers PSI was, he indicated it would be a 3,500 PSI. We'd always used a battery operated 450 PSI power washer so I researched the appropriate PSI for washing pavers. Everything I read recommended a 1,000 to 1,500 PSI which caused concern. Given PLS installed the patio and our comfort with their services we trusted PLS and dismissed our concerns. A 4,200 PLS power was used to power washed the patio which severely damaged the edge of multiple pavers. Dave offered to look at the results. His response was "they did exactly what they were suppose to, to clean out all old sand. When he asked "what resolution would satisfy us"? My response was, I wish I would've selected someone else to complete the work. Short of that I wanted PSI to replace the pavers. Dave's response was, "they don't make that color any more". I'd file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau however PLS isn't accredited with the BBB. I also couldn't find PLS on the OR Landscape Contractor Board. We definitely won't be utilizing PLS in the future.

I explained to him that, due to the size of my yard, I'd probably need to do my projects in phases, and he gave me some good input into the order of things should happen. He followed up with a proposal that night, with each area separated so that I could see the price in phases. His guys came out a couple weeks later to install a fence. They were courteous and hardworking, but what I really loved is how they would hold each board up, and then flip it to see which side looked and fit better. They did a great job, and I also liked that they were here at nine, took a lunch break, and left by 3:30 to be back to the office by 5 each day. Since I already knew what I was paying, I wasn't worried about them racking up an hourly wage or anything, and to me this showed that the company cares that their workers get to have a life and they're not just rushed through each job, slapping up boards as fast as they can go. The results speak for themselves! I love my new fence! I can't wait for the other projects I've sign them up for.
