My 2019 Forest River travel trailer developed a crack in the frame where the axle bracket is welded…read moreto the frame. I spent several months going through inspections with their authorized service center and had to wait while Forest River and the frame manufacturer developed a repair plan. In the end, the service center was unable to do the repair and my alternatives were to either drive my trailer to their plant in Indiana or find a local welder. Jeff at Furrion has great reviews and a friend also recommended him. He developed a plan similar to Forest Rivers' and repaired the cracks (he found a crack starting on the opposite axle weld as well) and welded 30 x 4-1/2 inch 1/4 inch plates on both sides of the frame, as well as some 2 x 2 angle iron to reinforce the frame both in front of and behind the axle welds. I am extremely happy with the results of the repair and will not hesitate to have Jeff do any future repairs or fabrication I might need. Forest River has also stepped up and agreed to reimburse me the cost of the repair as it met their plan specifications. I would add that another RV repair shop that does perform welding services refused to even attempt this job. Thanks again Jeff!

He definitely went above and beyond for my small project. He came over for the estimate as promised and gave me a download on what he recommended for my project and we worked together on the details before landing on a final plan. He kept me updated along the build process and the liner turned out pretty sweet with a beautiful custom fit. Worth noting when comparing this custom liner vs the mass produced stuff online- Jim can create a welded one-piece unit that is structural vs. most online stuff is multiple pieces bolted together. Also, check out the seamless top lip- beautiful work! I don't think you'll find a more meticulous fabricator in town - Jim gets it done! Jim responded pretty much immediately with not only a thoughtful, friendly, and great explanation of what his capabilities are, but lots of suggestions of other reputable businesses to try since he couldn't quite do what I wanted. Jim continued to respond promptly and provide lots of great support and suggestions based on my responses. I particularly appreciated Jim's honesty and being so transparent and up-front about the results if he were to do the job with his equipment. Although Jim didn't have the capability to perform what I wanted, I was able to get the job done through following his recommendations.
