Sometimes it's very easy to give someone a good yelp review. Ryan Majestic is one of those cases. He was a tremendous success at our birthday party today. Everyone wanted to know where we found him. I of course told them yelp. It was clear from the previous reviews that Ryan knows his way around a child's birthday party. He really does. They all went crazy over his balloon skills and then the magic show was delightful. Patents raved. Children were enthralled! He was absolutely charming and delightful and I found myself sitting there enjoying myself and laughing when usually I spend the entire "children's show" cleaning up or pouring myself a stiff drink. Ryan Majestic saved my daughters birthday party! We scheduled him for a half hour magic show, for after some jumpy castle action, but then the rain came down. I called him, nearly last minute, to find out if he could help with some more entertainment. He came early and fired up some balloon art (not just balloon animals, doesn't do it justice) that had the kids, and most of the parents, totally enthralled. His showmanship is wonderful. His humor is sophisticated and delightful. His magician character is self-deprecating and accessible. The birthday girl or boy gets star treatment in the sweetest way possible. (My boy still talks excitedly about turning one ball into two just by crushing it super hard in his hands.) He doesn't do many but my wife and I are stalking him to find an adult-oriented performance just to see what that's like. I cannot recommend highly enough his magic show for kids or adults. So my 6 year old says she needs a magician for her birthday party. I search high and low and get in touch with a bunch of magicians, Ryan was the clear choice. He was the only magician I was in touch with who seemed like he knew his way around kids. His show was the right length (about 30-45 minutes, as opposed to 90 minutes proposed by some). On the day of the party, he showed up early, put on a wonderful show (the kids freaked out when they saw his piñata newspaper trick). I mean, wow!
