I do not regret it one bit! We knew we needed a good team! We did not have perfect credit and we were using a VA loan, which can be more foot work and more tricky. When we walked in the doors we were promptly greeted by a sweet woman who asked how we can be helped, she offered us coffee and water and ran to get someone who could help us. Chris Konen came out and asked a little about what our goals were and immediately got to work. We had pre approval that evening with an amount to stay within. He recommended an amazing realtor that called us the next day and we began shopping! Chris Konen, our realtor and us, were in constant connection. We knew everything going on with the loan process and the home we made an offer on. We would get a call from Chris, then our realtor to tell us exactly where we were at and what we needed to do. Horrible experience. We paid extra for an "expedited" loan closing because we had to be out of our current house in a short time frame. The "expedited" loan took longer than most normal loans our real estate agent had seen and we wound up homeless for two weeks. The property we were buying was somewhat unusual due to it being multiple legal parcels. First we were told this would be fine...then that it wouldn't be possible...then I did my OWN research and explained to Ryan (and his assistant) how it actually was possible. Then there was a miscommunication with the Title company about a particular aspect of our loan that should have been routine and, long story short, we spent $500 consulting with an attorney only to find out, woops, everything was fine after all. Poor communication, poor delivery, just all around terrible experience. read more
