At the time, my older sister was living in Phoenix, and dealing with several health problems, as well as having to cope with her husband's recently diagnosed alzhiemers. Little brother to the rescue. I should add, that 6 months earlier, my 2 younger brother's died. Drink and drugs were never in play during these challenging circumstances. Tragically, sister Cynthia passed 7 weeks after I landed at the Mountain House. They made up for it every time with amazing coffee, Delicious foods and deserts. A warm toasty fire every night, also wonderful sleeping conditions I didn't even need a sleeping bag or my own pillow.(Lol) We had a great experience with a different group of friends and guest who showed up to serve those who were devastated by the horrible flooding that has never happened like that before.
