When we were trying to leave they gave us a hard time. Claiming we couldn't leave because they were not well enough. Bullshit I had to call an older male family member to basically tell them we don't need there services "we are taking our family member home!" The therapists who are independent contractors are rude and unprofessional (asking inappropriate questions like what we do for a living) weirdo, for what? Therapists dismiss women and only listen to dudes. Don't go here! They are rude and don't listen to you. They want to keep your family member here for their insurance money. Nurses are spread way too thin they don't know their patients. They don't read the charts, everything is word of mouth. I had to put up post-it note reminders. I have no idea why Aspire's rating is so low. They are absolutely fabulous and I give them so much credit in my grandma's recovery. When my 92 year old grandma fell and broke her hip and hand, I checked online reviews to decide on a skilled nursing facility. I saw that the Haven of Camp Verde was rated the most highly, so I almost took her there, until I visited it first. I'm so glad I decided to go with Aspire instead. Aspire is a newer construction, the rooms are comfortable, and from the beginning, the staff really impressed me. Shannon was so responsive in coordinating her transition to Aspire, and came herself to move grandma from Verde Valley Hospital to Aspire. The nursing staff is awesome, and they were so attentive in regularly checking in on grandma, making sure she had all her needs met, monitoring any medical issues that came up. Sydney, Preston, and Abbey are rockstar nurses and always chatted with grandma and gave her words of encouragement as well as looking after her medical needs. Bryan, the supervising NP, kept a close eye on grandma and would give me regular updates on her condition. The PT and OT staff were also fantastic, Beau is fantastic at finding the perfect PT for grandma to work around her injuries, grandma loves Kyla and Laura, Allison is an awesome OT! Overall the full time OT and PT staff are great at pushing grandma to get her back to baseline while also respecting the limitations of her injuries and age. Honestly the most difficult part of this whole experience was dealing with grandma's health insurance who wanted to discharge her prematurely, and fighting to keep her covered while she got the care she needed. In this, Maggie Brinkley was an absolute rockstar. She is the director of social services there, and is the one who advocates on behalf of patients. She was so helpful in answering all my questions, providing supporting documentation, following up with the insurance and appeal process and keeping me updated, and just taking up the fight like she was fighting for her own family. I will always be forever grateful to her, without her help grandma would not have had the time she needed to progress to where she is now. Keith Dorris, the executive director, was very helpful and advocated for grandma as well. Her doctor there, Dr. Balouch, wrote a letter strongly urging the medical need for grandma to remain at Aspire, and Bryan, the NP, took the time to write a letter stating the same, which helped us to win our appeal with her insurance. We had one negative experience with a temp OT, but that was an anomaly. The regular staff consistently demonstrate genuine care and dedication. If you're looking for somewhere to send your loved one, send them to Aspire. I was there daily to support her, and I received a lot of regular information from the staff because of that, so if it's possible, I recommend being there in person to support your loved ones. read more

I really appreciate the effort of the Exec Director to correct issues raised by the negative reviews. That's my reason for selecting this facility for my mother. HOWEVER... They accepted my mother who has advanced COPD and Metastatic Bone cancer. The transferring facility had her on a high dose of pain meds when transferred. I guess no one took this and the fact she missed 2 of her required nebulizer treatments, into consideration upon her arrival. Within and hour or two of her arrival, She attempted to get up to tell them she couldn't breath and needed a treatment. She fell... her own fault. They shipped her back to hospital then decided she was too much for them to handle. Now she had to be moved to a facility in Camp Verde, 80 miles from home. It is supposed to be an adult care facility and treatment. My Quality of care was very low and usually I was just lift to lay in bed and get weaker. Listened to a lot of false promises but nothing would happen. When I finally complained I was ridiculed and lectured by staff, and then once again ignored. My strength and abilities that you need to go downhill. I was lectured not to get out of bed due to fallen hazards, but calling for help in the restroom or for waters response would often take over an hour or more.. I was promised often before, and after attending the facility that I would receive intensive physical therapy. except for a very short evaluation, Physical Therapy was almost nonexistent, and when I expressed my need for additional therapy I only received more rudeness. knowing I was not happy with my lack of care that I was receiving they quietly made excuses, and then had me transferred to different care facility. read more

I was there 3 weeks after total knee replacement in April 2023. Cheerful, helpful, experienced staff and exceptional physical therapists. Decent food with very good variety. Comfortable accommodations styled more like a motel than a hospital. I requested this facility on the recommendations of friends and would request it again if needed. No complaints. read more
