I was recently notified, by the storage owner, that the vehicle would not start, he believed it to be the mechanical fuel pump as the issue. I contacted Gomez Mobile repair and others eventually speaking with the owner of Gomez, Andres. Andres gave me what I believed a fair price to diagnose and install a new mechanical fuel pump, new hose and filter if needed. I supplied the parts and within two days, Andres, had been to the storage unit, confirmed the fuel pump was the problem and installed the pump. I needed the jeep running the day I return from SE Asia to Greenville. Andres kept me informed, did the work and unbelievably stuck to his price which no mobile service guy does, I was shocked. Andres is well educated on car repair and will soon have his Master ASE technician certification! Andres cost was less than half of other estimates, who after receiving their quotes, I thought they must be quoting changing out the entire engine. Andres is a reservist in the Greenville SC area and serving our great country! I cannot thank him enough, who knew but there are still honest men out there! I had called to ask if they service European cars, and surely they do! They were able to schedule me to drop off my car the next day with other flexible dates. They also were able to take one of my pre purchased parts from AutoZone, no problem. When I arrived, at first slightly confused, by their glorious lobby, was not something I'm used to or expected. They don't have the usual rundown looking lobby to wait or make your payment. No, this is stunning as if I walked into another professional business. Very classy indeed! They also graciously called to let me know of other updates my car needed that was necessary or at least make me aware of to have taken care of in the future, along with a quote ahead of time! After that, I received an email and text report of their findings. This was the most thorough report I have ever witnessed from a mechanic! They not only break it down by things that "passed" their check, items they checked but are not as pressing to have repaired and more immediate repairs. Each had their own break down with screenshots and photos with a computer generated simulation video to talk you through its part needing attention/repair. Johnathan got back to me quickly and said that we could do the install of a Disaster prevention kit…read morefor my F350 6.7 power stroke. He is very kind. When he arrived he jumped right to work. I unfortunately did not ask if had done this in the past. He watched some you tube videos before he came to do the install. Needless to say he had never done this before. While I was out there watching / handing tools as needed and such I discovered my Truck was the Ginny pig. So he kept referring back to the YouTube video for instructions on how to install the kit. He did break a heater hose that he did replace free of charge but I had to call him to get him moving on the replacement he was going to have one ordered and delivered and when he could get out here he would. I told him I needed the truck today and he came yesterday to fix it. I drove it to the store and it's only 10 minutes down the road and a hose popped off on my way to the store. So I purchased a screw driver and had to replace the hose myself in order to get it back home. Now let's skip to today. My wife drove the truck to work today and the kit is leaking under the manifold. While he was here he did tell me that he does not warranty aftermarket parts. In the videos I watched they pressure test the kit before the put it back together. This was not done. He did not do this. He is not going to offer any warranties on his labor. I would not recommend Johnathan for any work on any vehicle.
