Wow! There aren't a lot of upscale resturants in this part of the Ozarks; in fact - this is the only one we've found. The rustic exterior and casual ambiance belie the high-quality food. Park in the small lot, or on the historic streets of downtown Leslie. Walk in and be seated by the hostess, although there may be a short wait during peak dinner hours. Do not leave! The food is worth waiting for! Ryan's offers soft drinks, tea, and an interesting assortment of beer and affordable wines. Our drinks came quickly. Steaks are available after 5pm, and my sirloin steak was on-point - full of flavor and cooked exactly as I requested! My side salad was small but fresh, and I'm glad I opted for home-made chips becuse they were very good! My wife loved her Grilled Shrimp with rice and onion rings. But then came the highlight of the meal: Strawberry Pie!! Words fail to convey how good this pie was! Utterly fantastic! It is worth the drive just to enjoy dessert! This is one of the places in Searcy county Arkansas where the local go. We have been several times. Always good food but always busy! Very nice staff good atmosphere. Prices are as reasonable as anywhere these days. I think the steak dinner cost between $30-$40. Of course that depends on size and cut. Seasoned very well. We asked for A-1. My wife and I went last night , not too busy, plenty of staff. Not that we were totally ignored , they took our order and got our app out , but then the main course was 2 hours out. No real explanation offered, and even tho it was acknowledged , management did not extend any kind of compensation. Granted I did not take issue and just paid and left. But a good owner/ manager would not need to be prompted to do the right thing when service was such a failure. They also missed a great learning opportunity with a very inexperienced waitress staff on how to get in front of an experience gone wrong. Food wasn't outstanding, the potato was even cold and my wife's undone after that long wait. I'm somewhat local and will spend my money elsewhere. read more

our car club was in leslie for the jeepin it classy car show. about 20 of us went to ryans to eat, a couple of members remembered eating here in the past and said they were good. awards for the show were to be given at 1:30 pm. We had reservations at opening, noon, and thought 1 1/2 hrs should be enough time, right? Well, we ordered at 12:15, recieved food at 2:15, and while the steak was good, you only get a steak, no bread no butter, no side thats all extra! The 6oz fillet was $35, tiny baked potato with butter only $6, carrot cake to go $9, so total bill, $62, and still hungary! WoW......! I thought they were really good the first time, went back on a Friday night, their steak is (no exaggeration) the best I have ever had. I was in the Army for over 20 years, lived in 12 states and have been to 18 countries and nobody does it better, nobody! I wish I could give them 6 stars. For a very small town this is a very busy restaurant. Seems the servers are having a hard time keeping up with the customers coming in. Catfish and steaks not served until after 6 pm. Stopped here for lunch. Had a great grilled chicken sandwich with BBQ sauce and all of the veggie fixings. Curly fries were good, but regular fries were better (jealous of my kids fries ). This is my third time here and I gave them a third chance but this will be absolutely my last time I will come back here I will spend my money elsewhere. First off, some of the staff doesn't even act like they want your business. I called to make reservations for a group of 7 and the lady on the phone said they didn't accept reservations for groups of less than 15. We got there and was asked if we had made reservations. After we had gotten seated and made our orders, it took 1 hr & 15 min for our food to arrive and I asked our server if that was typical and she said "yes" and that it's frequently longer. Sorry to make these comments because I would really like for this restaurant to do well but our experience there was a big turn-off. read more

"You can not beat their burgers nor the steaks" I had the burger, lettuce was fresh, tomatoes fresh. My friend kept commenting on how tasty the bread was on her burger and it never got soggy - I was enjoying the juicy burger. French fries were great, waitress had bat wings (halloween) it was all good. We will go back. We also had homemade strawberry pie with the thick graham cracker crust very good and all very tasty. read more

We stopped for lunch on our way home from Branson thanks to reviews from other Yelpers. The place had a nice dive bar kind of feel to it, like it might be a lot more fun at night. I had the Philly Cheese Steak and fries and my husband had the Pig Sooie Bacon Melt and homemade chips. Our server was so friendly and made us feel welcome and the food was great. You could tell the owner or chef took great pride in the food quality. I wish I could have tried a dessert but it's not normally something we do at lunch time and we were gonna be on the road a long time so taking it to go was not a good option. We come this way about once a year so I'm looking forward to returning. read more

Ordered a bacon cheeseburger and mixed vegetables. It was a pretty good burger and came with a lot of melted cheese plus bacon, tomato, lettuce and pickle. They had ketchup and mustard on the table. The mixed vegetables were squash, zucchini, peppers, onion and tasted like they were seasoned with Greek seasoning. The service was pretty good on that they filled my iced tea and offered a Togo cup. However, they were doing construction as well as they were pretty busy at lunch so I had to ask for my ticket and my order was a little slow - looked like they were getting ready for a large take out order. Food is amazing but there are a few things that definitely need work. I went there with my wife and kids about two weeks ago on a saturday night and had the most terrible experience the whole time i was there. the middle aged brunette woman that "greeted" us at the door was extremely rude and even yelled at our 3 year old for getting impatient. I cant remember her name but i do reme,mber she was the only person there that was wearing a name tag and seemed to be very important in her own mind. the restaurant was extremely hot so we were all a little agitated. the waitress was an older brunette with curly hair. i think she said her name was danielle or dani or something like that. she was very obviously on something and stumbling all over the place and almost dropped a whole margarita on our 5 year old. then we had to wait almost 2 hours for our food in this 90 degree restaurant and our waitress never bothered to come back and refill our drinks until the food came out. when we were leaving we asked to speak to the manager and the rude woman at the front desk just laughed and said yeah right and leaned over to look around me and talk to the next person in line. food was spectacular but the place is so poorly ran that it just isnt worth it. definitely needs new management and probably new ownership if the owner is aware of how incompetent their staff is and does nothing about it. read more

Food was pretty good but the service was average. When we got there we waited for 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us to be seated. They were not busy, only a couple of tables were in use. Once we were seated, we waited another 10 minutes just to have someone address us, which was after another table beside us was seated several minutes after we were and got waited not long after they were seated. We were not local so I'm guessing they were, so they got waited on before we did or the waitress was not in the building (outside smoking) and no idea who came in first. We almost got up and left but we traveled an hour just to eat there. Once we ordered, we got our meal within a reasonable timeframe. Our waitress was very attentive after that. It was just the beginning that made this visit mediocre. This was the second time we have ate here and both times we have had issues with our service. The owner needs to read this review and speak with his staff because there is a new dog in town off the main road, Hwy 65. And they have great food and better service. If there not careful they will lose business. This little town has only 3 establishments to choose from so they need to do a better job in the service department. read more
