Gluten free dairy free fried catfish the fries ( hush puppies not gf)

Amazing food! I asked the waitress if the fried catfish was gluten and dairy free, she went and double checked for me and assured me it was gf and df, made with a corn base. It was absolutely delicious and left wanting more!

Dinner buffet: This is roast beef, fried potatoes, mashed potatoes, corn, turnip greens, yeast roll, a garden crisp salad. and iced tea.

The service staff are very friendly and attentive. The main dining room has a beautiful cathedral ceiling. Relics from decades past decorate the dining room. The dinner buffet on this particular night included sliced roast beef, hamburger steak, teriyaki chicken with rice, bbq chicken wings, mashed potatoes, fried sweet potatoes, fried potatoes, corn, turnip greens, brown gravy, and baked cabbage wedges. Yeast rolls and cornbread were available as well as a salad bar. This restaurant offers real butter in little sealer cups for customers' use. IMO this puts them a step above many other restaurants that use margarine instead of butter. Desserts included some kind of cobbler and a pudding parfait. Their iced tea is fresh brewed. Although the buffet isn't a large buffet, the selection of meats and vegetables are ample for a pleasant meal reminiscent of grandma's southern home cooking.

Chicken and bacon on a roll with sweet potato waffle fries

Having a nice restaurant at the Ozark Heritage Park was made it very convenient to be able to enjoy the venues at a leisurely pace and not worry about getting hungry and leaving the area to eat, since there definitely wasn't anything close by. They offered simple but well prepared food at a reasonable price, averaging $9. We ordered the sampler, which was chicken and dumplings, pinto beans, greens, fried okra, a slice of tomato and onion, and a corn muffin. Along with that, grilled chicken breast and bacon on a bun with sweet potato waffle fries. Both were presented nicely and both were prepared well. Nothing to right home about, but solid good meals. The ambience was nice with floor to ceiling windows and a view of a nice fountain and plants. Service was good as well.

Terrible! Slow service, rude waitstaff and extremely subpar "prime rib". Will not be back.

Small and cozy with trivial pursuit on the table that made the short wait for food enjoyable! Even a cute little store with some interesting things including funny saying, honey, many bakery desserts (need to come back to try since we were too full) that looked amazing

You folks threw me all the way off with this 4.5 rating here…read more How can you have that many relatives that have Yelp accounts! Pretty baffling. First.... They are as sweet as can be here. All of the ladies we encountered were great. They were so very nice. They pulled this from a 1 star review, if I am being totally real. They have a cat sanctuary outside. That helped too. Here, kitty, kitty! Our server was "filling in" and was a little "off, and trying to catch up". Inside is a hodgepodge of country type decor. It's homey and I really like the different types of salt and pepper shakers that's they had on each table. Some of them were really cute. The other star is earned by this creativity... I dared the kid to steal them, glad she is better than me. LOL She didn't. Everything else for me basically sucked. We had a sausage cheese board. Just no. Sausage looked to be soaked in water???? Why was it so white? Tiny thin slices of cheese and water crackers. Another smoked or processed meat would help. Well, I was wrong.... except for the kids sandwich, she really liked it. I think it was a ham sandwich. She had ruffles. C had the Hash and it looked awful. She confirmed that it was. Look at the pics and you will see. Kids boyfriend had a bacon cheeseburger. He said the bacon was the best thing. I didn't even take a picture. I had a two meat platter. I asked when I ordered if I could request "fatty brisket" . Her response was, "no, she already has it all cut and portioned out". I said "no brisket please, I will have pulled pork then. I want that and a sausage link. " Well, I received brisket and a sausage link. I am a forgiving man, so I just ate it. Beans were the best thing. This is getting long so I'll just finish up. That's the worst brisket I have ever tried to eat. I am certain it never saw any smoke. I almost question that it may have come to them as precooked, pre-sliced brisket. Check out my pic. It's as white. C said "that's not brisket, that's turkey". Nope. It was beef in fact. Sausage was low quality and also never had heard of smoke. I question if anything is really smoked here. I done now. '26 - 86
