Quick and simple ordering process at the front, after you bring up your drink or snack selection from the other area. Lots of seating inside and they offer free Wi-Fi so you can work here like a cafe and enjoy a nice meal too. Good selection of sandwiches, and the one I chose was great quality and tasty. Nice and fresh. Will definitely be coming back to try others. Thanks

I decided to stop in here recently on my way home from Boathouse Row and I'm so happy I did! I did not know where to go for a bite to eat in the neighborhood and Yelp recommended Rybrew. It is a cute sandwich, salad and brew shop. It has high ceilings and a lot of natural light. It seems like the perfect place to grab a drink and snack after work. They offer trivia and bingo nights. We tried the Tucson sandwich and it was incredible. The ingredients tasted super fresh and the bread was perfectly crispy. I do think the prices here are a bit high ($11 for a turkey sandwich!) but it was a really amazing sandwich.

Got the special of the day: thai chicken salad. It was a pretty big portion, but I still can't justify paying over $15 for a salad. The veggies were really fresh and the peanut sauce was very tasty! I enjoyed the salad and could split it into two meals. This place mostly sells sandwiches though. My friends tried different sandwiches here and weren't too big of fans.

Did not eat any food here but the service and ambience was great. You can grab any can from the fridge, their options were interesting and delicious. The seating is super comfortable and I loved the outdoor deck for a beautiful day. Would definitely stop by and try their food if I was in the area again!

Tried the pork banh mi from Rybrew for pick up. There is plenty of outdoor seating, and for those who'd rather have some air conditioning, there are a few seats inside as well. There are fridges stocked with many types of beers and a cool interior with two floors. Not sure what the second floor is about. Was able to eat my takeout order inside. There was a dispenser with free ice cold water, which was extra necessary in this hot summer! My banh mi was about regular size, and was actually on a grilled baguette, making it super crispy and satisfying. There was enough pork on the sandwich, a few pickled veggies, and not much mayo but the flavor was fine. There are a few sandos on the menu to try, as well as some salads. Good bread, alright sandwiches, I would try again.

I ordered the San Diego Panini. It's pulled chicken breast, provolone, pesto, and red peppers on a panini. The chicken breast in the panini was overcooked. It was dry and sticked to my teeth on the bite. The combination of flavors was good. Hard to go wrong with cheese, pesto, and red pepper. I was disappointed in the execution of the chicken breast on this sandwich.

I loveee Rybrew. Everything they and Rybread (OG Fairmount location) have is amazing! Every time I'm in the area and hungry, I eat here! Best salads and sandwiches. My favorite thing on the menu is probably the Rybread which is a crab cake sandwich on a brioche bun. SO GOOD. The Napa panini is yummy and vegetarian! Recently I've been getting the house salad with a crab cake or tuna fish. There's outdoor sitting which is what I usually do. They have really cool, local kombucha's! I'm not a beer drinker but lots of beer options here. The breakfast sandwiches are really good too. Something as simple as an egg and cheese on a bagel here is really so good. Oh and the ice cream! A DREAM. I like their coffee. Can't wait to try more flavors!

The cheesesteaks are packed with flavor, the rolls hold up perfectly, and the quality is consistent every time. Whether you're a traditional cheesesteak person or like to branch out and try some of their specialty creations, there's a reason people are making the trip into Center City for Shay's. What really stands out is that this isn't a place resting on hype. The food delivers. The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh, and the team takes pride in what they're doing. Philadelphia has no shortage of cheesesteak spots, but Shay's has earned its place in the conversation. If you're exploring the city's food scene and looking for a cheesesteak that lives up to the buzz, put Shay's on your list. Highly recommended. The Philly Food Fanatic®

Easy...repeat EASY 5-start sandwich…read more In from out of town and based on research, a first-hand interview (shout out Uber driver) and proximity to my hotel, I landed on Shay's. Very glad I did. I had the The Classic ($19.95: Prime Rib, Cooper Sharp Cheese, Buttery Steakhouse Seasoning, Sautéed Onions). Great seeded roll, perfectly melted cheese, and grilled onions. Service was great. Went to the shop off-hours / around 2:30 on a Friday. Probably 10 people there, so my steak was served up quickly- maybe 5 minutes max from order to handoff. The staff was helpful and patient walking through a rookie on what to order. The shop is un-assuming. Not tons of signage, not a lot of quirky decor on the walls. I visited on one of the first very hot days of the spring. I decided to get the sandwich to go and devoured it at my hotel. Best Cheesesteak is a hot topic in this town. No real point in trying to say one's the best but some food for thought from an out-of-towner: 1) Research. Ask around. Listen to the passion with which they offer their recco. 2) Highly consider Shay's. I really enjoyed the Cheesesteak and the entire experience.

I went to Middle Child a few weeks ago just after 3, only to find it closes at 3. Today I returned, around 1, and there was a good crowd there having lunch. I ordered the Surfer, and the Hash Brown Potatoes. The Surfer is Middle Child's most popular sandwich. It's made on a Ciabatta bun, and has a thick layering of tender, lean, House Turkey breast, with melty Swiss cheese, arugula, blueberry chutney, and Duke's mayo. It's hard to describe just how delicious this sandwich was. My biggest concern was the Ciabatta bun - it's not one of my favorites, as I've found them to be tough and difficult to bite through. My fears were quickly put to rest after the first bite! The bun had a slightly crispy exterior - and when I followed through with my first bite, the tender, soft interior of the Ciabatta was a pleasant surprise. In fact, it complemented the thick savory Turkey, arugula, chutney and mayo! It was one of the best Turkey sandwiches I've had. Now, if that wasn't enough, don't forget, I ordered the Hash Brown Potatoes. It said Hash Browns on the blackboard, see attached picture, but these 'weren't your Mama's hash browns'! They are described online as Latka'd Hash Browns. They are thick crispy squares that combine a potato pancake latke with a hash brown texture. The interior reminded me of my mother's potato kugel, which I still reminisce about. In one word, those fried crispy potato squares were outstanding. It's 'a must try' and goes so well with the Surfer! Last, but not least, the Limeade! It was so refreshing! Not too tart, not too sweet... just right! I'll be returning to Middle Child in the not too distant future!

So the order was put on the counter but since people don't like when you just take the order that you have to deliver i again had to wait and try not to interrupt the conversation making me 2 minutes late for the drop off. They also have sides that include - tots, fried pickle chips, onion rings, fries, fried mozzarella and Zayda's pickle spears, chips and cherry pepper shooters. They have a couple of vegan options and GF rolls for extra $$. The staff was more than happy to give recommendations and their favs. My first lunch was The Eye - $15 Ribeye steak, Cooper Sharp American, fried onions came on a seeded Liscio's roll. If you enjoy the somewhat newer Cooper sharp style that's out there you'll like theirs. The Cooper sharp was gooey, mixed in well with the meat and on the heavier side. The ribeye was thin cut, delicious and the portion was pretty hefty. Second visit I went with - The Nad - $15 Chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula, Mike's Hot Honey that came on an unseeded Liscio's roll. The portion size was good, chicken was fresh with good breading, the hot honey was a tad on the heavy side, but the flavors all came together pretty good on this one. Sweet, salty, light bitterness from the arugula and some heat from the hot honey. I added Thin Cut Idaho fries to make it a combo for $3 extra and I have to say they were delicious. They smelled like McD's and tasted similar. They are cash only, but have an ATM on site. You can use a card if you order online. The one bathroom they have was pretty clean and organized. I will certainly stop back for a visit if I'm in the area to try out more of their menu. Thanks guys!

This is far from the traditional banh mi, not so much due to the meat choice but the fact that the vegetables take a back seat. This is also a soft hoagie style bread instead of the crusty French bread that usually houses a banh mi. Still an enjoyable sandwich nonetheless.
