This was my second time trying this spot out and both times were delicious! The chicken cutlet was so tender and was a perfect sandwich to share with others

I have seen so much hype around Liberty Kitchen, and the sandwiches are massive but nothing really to write home about. Flavor is kindof lacking? Trying to be nice but I was expecting so much more for a place that always comes up in "places you need to try in Philly." I ordered the viral Kale Chicken Caesar, and there wasn't enough (if any) actual Caesar dressing on the sandwhich or on the kale-- and unless you actually dress kale in something, ANYTHING, it's going to taste like straight earth and that's what happened here. I really don't understand why this sandwich has so much hype, if any. I also ordered a chicken parm, and it wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special flavor wise, just a ton of garlic and no other interesting flavor profile. If you're looking for a big sandwich that you can eat for two meals, this is totally the place but in my opinion there are much better sandwich shops in the area.

Their cutlets are divine. I love and appreciate a Liscio's roll but I only made it one bite into my Marsala cutlet sub before deciding to ditch the bread and enjoy the cutlet naked ( w/cheese, sauce & shrooms). The buffalo kale ceasar cutlet was 10/10. Their brownies are also 10/10 and so rich. They have so many beverage options and a cooler full of assorted goodies (cheese, meet, little bites) alongside some pantry stuffs (jams, jars, sauces, etc - basically charcuterie components).

Oh well this is just what I was looking for on a snowy weekend in Fishtown- a local sandwich spot with unique subs and vibe. We tried the buffalo chicken cutlet Cesar and were very impressed- the bread is soft with perfect tooth, the textures of the chicken cutlet and kale made for a delightful mouth experience. We also tried the roast turkey sub which was less unique but nothing to complain about. There are five tables but we were able to nab one. Drink and extra fridges were stocked with fun items. So good we went back the next day.

Hands down one of the best kale Caesar chicken cutlet sandwiches I've ever had!!!! This location is small with a small seating area but usually whenever we go we are able to find a seat. We've gone here over a dozen times and it never disappoints. The sandwich is good eaten there or even for takeout! Also, it is a huge sandwich so we always opt to split it.

Liberty kitchen gives the vibes of deli and large eat-in kitchen combined. The space is bright because of the front facing window, and the service is walk up counter style. I ordered the Kale Ceasar Cutlet sandwich. It's made with a golden, crispy, breaded fried chicken cutlet-with kale that has been marinated in house-made ceasar dressing, pecorino cheese, crispy fried onions, all enveloped in a toasted sesame seeded roll. Y'all, that sandwich was PACKED with flavor. The crunchy onions added a nice texture along with the crispness of the chicken. The house-made Ceasar dressing was not overpowering or too salty. It was a perfect pairing. It's a must try! 5/5 Til we eat again....

I ordered the kale caesar sandwich, and it was huge and flavor. I went with my kids, and we all enjoyed the food. The only downside was the limited seating inside, so we ended up taking our sandwiches to go. Not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind if you're planning to dine in.

It was an absolute thrill and honor to be here for this pop-up with a very special guest chef from Tokyo Japan. Nihon Bashi Philly husband and wife team baked the most amazing sesame rolls and served up cheesesteaks. I am Guessing I was number 20 in line . I really enjoyed the food. SWEET PEEPS!! And the service was friendly and I'm happy to be introduced to this wonderful establishment. I also bought a commemorative T-shirt and cute stickers to give away. The decor of this restaurant was all Philly love... like gritty , for example. I loved it here and I will come back !! Absolutely delicious food, hot and fresh !!!

I must start by acknowledging that the food is very fresh. The ingredients flavor profiles mesh very well together. The portions of the cutlets are also very large! However I believe that the resturant relies on the freshness of the food and is lacking in the addition of external seasonings. This isn't a pro or a con, I am just not the target audience. However I enjoyed the service and the experience and I would absolutely recommend for everyone to try at least once!

The shrimp hoagie I had was pretty fresh. Fresh smallish medium sized shrimps with avocado, lemon, and mayo. This combination of condiments was okay. The hoagie felt expensive but it was packed and wrapped super well too. The hoagies here might be healthier overall or maybe this particular one. As it was part of a special food event, I don't think it is a regular offering by Liberty Kitchen nor should it be. As a smaller operation, there is also Poe's sandwiches and I personally like those sandwich recipes and combos more. Staff here is friendly and worked with my earlier arrival and were able to adjust to prepare food earlier. There was that invisible understanding that traffic and circumstances can get in the way for us to be able to pick up our food at our scheduled time. There is limited seating inside and outside as would be expected in a casual, fast restaurant in a big city. I will review the fish and chips separately under Stargazy.

Wow! Walked up today for lunch and at first I thought H*ll No a $19 hoagie but these sandwiches are huge and delicious. I got the chicken kale and hubby got the vegan. They eat weigh about a ton and are 2 maybe even 3 meals. We were starving so they were 2 meals today. Very cute place, limited seating inside but fast, friendly and tasty.

    $20 dollar mess

I have been getting sandwiches to go from this location. The last few times the sandwiches have been inconsistent, but the staff is always friendly and I don't complain. Today however when I unwrapped the sandwich, the bread was soaked in so much dressing that I couldn't hold the sandwich. I literally walked to my car which at most was less than a minute away and unwrapped the mess. The peppers, broccoli rabe and mozzarella were thrown in such a random pile that after taking the photo I threw the sandwich out. I have ordered and tried the majority of their sandwiches for work lunches etc, because of the staff I have continued to come back, but I am so frustrated by the inconsistent and now poor quality, I won't be going back. I don't mind spending $20 dollars on a sandwich, but it's insulting when I would have needed to eat it with a spoon. For reference, I ordered the cutlet Italiano today, the last time I ordered the fig and the pig, the turkey pesto and the cutlet italiano.

Got the notable All Kale Chicken Caesar hoagie from the Coca Cola Corner at today's Phillies game. The service was awesome and the baseball fans sitting around our section drooled over our meal! The seeded roll and perfectly breaded chicken was the star of this sandwich & this was our first time ever enjoying kale!

The incredible cheese selection, the curated Italian pastas, wines, and specialty foods -- it's a food lover's dream. I felt like a kid in a candy store, completely mesmerized by all the options. The staff was friendly, and everything looked so high-quality and well-presented. I was genuinely tempted to buy an assortment of cheeses to bring back home, and I still kind of regret not doing it. That said, I did have one experience that made me pause. Later that evening, as I walked by after closing hours, I peeked through the window to show my husband the shop I had visited earlier and I happened to see a few mice moving around inside the store. It was definitely unsettling to witness, especially after seeing all the exposed cheeses and displays earlier in the day. I completely understand that older city buildings (especially in places like Philly) have their challenges, and I'm sure this isn't unique to Di Bruno Bros. Still, as a customer, it did take away from the magic of my earlier visit. Overall, Di Bruno Bros. is a gorgeous and well-curated Italian market that I'd recommend visiting for its atmosphere and specialty goods but I hope management is able to address cleanliness concerns, because the store truly deserves to shine as brightly as its reputation.
