As a result, Long Island locals were able to lie about who was driving and the circumstances of the crash. My car is damaged and GEICO (their insurance who they filed with first) doesn't want to cover it. When I came on 6/6 to speak to Sargeant Thaddio, the front desk acted like they had no idea what I was talking about even though I called a few times and spoke to someone. Eventually they called Thaddio and we sat not in a private area but the area right next to the desk that was filthy, unorganized and not confidential. His response was to rely on presumed ignorance instead of fully engaging. Everything is the departmental response and my concerns are unfounded even though many of them make 6 figures a year. He also tried to explain what happens when "two cars hit each other" lol like some weird bureaucratic metaphor for the birds and the bees. I assure you, the other driver's car is undamaged. The photo tells you that much considering the angle of the impact. Even if I live in Queens County, I spend enough money and spend enough time in Long Island to care about what the civil servants are doing there. I was taken aback by the lack of professionalism by the NYPD in the past. But Nassau County is no better.

The job of serving and protecting these residents lies in the hands of the amazing, solid, alert, omnipresent, patient and proactive NCPD. My wonderful experience with them over the years - 1) Mom was robbed at gunpoint at our second candy store in Westbury in 1982. I was overseas in the military. No cellphones then. The very kind detective kept me informed throughout the investigation and resolution by working with me and the time difference . 2) I lost my carry on containing my wallet in Great Neck NY in 2000. I was flying to Ca the next day. A policeman from this precinct made sure he got to me at home( New Hyde Park then) at 11:45 pm to give me a report. I had a stress free security walk through at the airport six hours later. 3) In 2002, my temple on the Nassau Suffolk counties border had a truck slam into the outside brick wall and gate causing a lot of damage. I will never ever forget the late great Capt Bobby Bellitieri who came out, talked to me for a while , calmed the elders and ensured all was in order with the paperwork. He went above and beyond. He followed up weekly. 4) Mom got a new Honda Accord on 6/6/2004. She was hit by a driver who wrecked her side view mirror and door, then took off. Another very cool officer from this Precinct saw this occur on Hillside & Willis Avenues, then pulled over the other driver. True story - he had to restrain my then 74 old feisty Mom from kicking the other's ass. I was downrange. 5) 2023 - Brookville NY - again great and prompt 1-2-3 actions by the NCPD as my mother needed a character and police clearance certificate. I was 6500 miles away. They took care of my family. I will never forget this.

On August 9th, 2022, my fur baby was in heart failure so I brought her to the emergency room at…read moreAtlantic Coast Veterinary Hospital in Bohemia. Emotions were high, and words were exchanged resulting in me being assaulted by four employees of the hospital. One was holding my dying fur baby in her arm while attacking me. Officer Ryan McAdam was called to the scene. Not only did he ignore my request for an ambulance, but he refused to call his supervisor, continued making threatening statements at me, leaving me to fear for my life. He lied to me about seeing the security camera footage. He told me "from what he saw" I deserved what I got. I recorded him saying all of this. When a witness came forward to show Officer McAdam what she had recorded, he ignored her. Thankfully she text me the video which clearly shows me being assaulted. Officer Brianne Campbell was assigned to the case. During our meeting, she had written down on paper all of the details. She seemed to care at that moment. She promised me upon her return from vacation, she would contact my witness for a statement. She also said she would get the footage from the veterinary hospital's security cameras. She didn't do any of that. I later found out by someone else that those cameras never worked. I finally got in touch with Officer Campbell in October. She used the computers being hacked as an excuse for not returning my calls. That was when I reminded her that she had written it all down. She told me she would call me back within the hour after she reviewed those documents, but I never heard from her. I called again two weeks later, and spoke to Officer Finkwell. He told me Officer Campbell would be out that week. When I vented to him about the departments lack of communication, he took it personally, and told me he didn't appreciate me taking out my frustrations on him. We had words. He accused me of saying things to him that I never said. I reminded him that I was the victim here, not him. I saw where this was going so I asked to speak to Sergeant Casey. The Sergeant never got on the phone, nor did he return my call. After speaking to IA, Officer Campbell finally reached out. She must have been offended that I called IA because her demeanor completely changed. She accused me of being the aggressor, and continued informing me that it was legal for the hospital employees to put their hands on me because according to her, I refused to leave. How can I leave when I had four people, two being men, on top of me? Also, I would never leave without my fur baby, which was in the arms of my attacker at that moment. This precinct is the perfect example of why there are so many issues with law enforcement today,

This precinct is in charge of some of the nicer areas of the northeast Bronx but this has to be one…read moreof the worst precincts in the Bronx. They never solve crimes and unless its murder its considered petty and just shelfed. They will make you do police reports making you think something will be done but if you never call them you will never ever hear from them. They do more harm than good by botching evidence , stalling and running out the clock and divulging private information. By the time they are done you wont be able to do anything with your case and you would have been better off without them. The detective they assigned to me said they had better things to do, closed the case with leads not contacted and the leads they contacted they told all my private biz and the neighbor stopped talking to me. My family and I have filed about 10 reports in the past five years. Zero were solved and only in 2/10 was there even a follow up after the initial report. I highly suggest people forming neighborhood watches, have security cams and look out for each other. These cops have no interest in protecting and serving . They are collecting checks and counting the days to retirement. Stay safe or at least as safe as you can be if this is your precinct

I waited for assistance, but no one was willing to help until I finally had to ask, "Please, can you help me? What can I do?" They simply gave me a piece of paper so I could go to the DMV to replace the stolen plates. Now I have 14 tickets to pay for the stolen plate because that police station refused to help me file a report.
