I have been a contractor for over 40 years and have purchased quite a bit of tile, porcelain, and stone from Rye Ridge. The quality and selections are fantastic. The knowledge, expertise, service and pricing has been amazing. We just finished a major remodel which required significant tile work in 2 bathrooms, a powder room, fireplace, entry way and kitchen. We consulted with Cory and Michael and had a great experience. They were absolutely the best listeners and even better designers. They aced each assignment. We are extremely happy with the results! The only thing better than their design acumen was their exceptional easy going demeanor and thoughtfulness with great communication throughout the process. I came here only once so I cannot speak to their quality of work or ability to handle large projects. I simply needed a decorative slab of marble or similar to go across the top of my radiator. Margo (spelling?) was extremely helpful and showed me a few options. I left with exactly what I was looking for. The only negative is that when you walk in you basically get ignored. Sales people are busy with others and there is no greeter, no one to tell you to have a seat and wait, etc. We wandered around the store for 10 mins before we walked up to someone working at a desk and asked if we could speak to sales associate. read more

This place was recommended by my contractor. I chose my tile with the help of Barbara who was very patient while we were working together but also didn't mind my followup questions after i already had my order. My contractor did an awful job of installing the subway tiles. Anytime i called to speak to anyone (at this point i was mostly dealing with Anthony & Pete in the warehouse) about ordering more tile, or advice about the situation, they were kind, sympathetic and flexible. After the subway tile was done, the new tile installer told me the shower floor had to be picked up. Once again i called them and Pete came to the rescue- normally this tile takes weeks to come in but he searched and found it quicker and i will have it this week.....This has been an extremely stressful renovation but Rye Ridge has certainly taken away the pain with their wonderful customer service..... read more

Tile stores are strange. When my husband and I did a major renovation a few years ago, we went into several of them and experienced horrible customer service. We wandered around forever and no one came to help us, even though sales people were seemingly free. It was pretty frustrating. We had a different experience at Rye Ridge Tile. We were helped almost immediately upon walking in. So we ended up buying most of our tile there. They have a great selection and their prices are competitive. If you are working with a contractor, they will give you a contractor's discount. We got competent help in tile and grout selection (not as easy as you'd think), and all of the tile arrived as ordered, and in good condition. The sales staff was okay, but the service from the warehouse staff was really outstanding. For various reasons we had to go back and forth to the warehouse several times, and we were so pleased with the support we received. Fast forward to recently-- we had a new tile project. We returned to Rye Ridge Tile. Again, we had a positive experience. We ordered samples, got a competitive quote and the tile we ordered arrived exactly when anticipated. The warehouse staff was again totally helpful, and worked with us to accommodate our contractor's tight schedule. Even our contractor commented on the helpful service from the warehouse when he went to pick up our order, and he's not usually all that generous with the compliments. I notice that there are some bad reviews of Rye Ridge Tile, mostly complaining about lack of service. Although we did not have that experience here, I could see it happening at this-- and every-- tile store. What I have learned now that I have more experience buying tile is that it is better to call ahead and make an appointment. This way you'll be sure to have someone's full attention when you arrive. But no one tells you this. It seems you have to learn it the hard way. read more

I received terrible service. The store was deserted and no one greeted me when I entered even though there were multiple sales associates present who were chatting with each other. I wandered around for 10 minutes until I was asked if I needed assistance, after which I found out that the product I was looking for was not available to preview even though the manufacturer's website stated that it was. The associate offered to call me after speaking with the manufacturer, but she never did! Bad service all around, and they lost a customer. read more

Had an absolutely amazing experience at Rye Ridge Tile. The folks working there are very friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. From the minute I walked in the door, I felt both welcomed and very comfortable. I knew that they could help me in designing my home. At this point, my tiles/products are in and installed and everything came out beautifully. I recommend RRT to everyone who asks and I am very confident in my recommendation. I renovated my bathroom fully, we took the bathroom down to the studs. I came into rye ride tile and I was greeted promptly, I explained my situation and what I was looking for and I was pleased to see the owner working the floor who then got involved in my project as well, he began to sketch out the bathroom to the style that I wanted , which was a modern style (I had the measurements of the bathroom with me). Him and his staff showed me tile options and also gave me recommendations for the wall tiles, shower tiles, everything you could imagine, they even recommended wall paint and grout! They also selected a vanity for my bathroom as well which took some headaches away from my project. It was such a pleasure working with an experienced and professional staff, I highly recommend this company to everyone! read more

I had the same experience as the previous reviewer. This store has terrible service. I was never greeted or welcomed into the store. I was in the store for 10 minutes walking around with a big sample of my countertop that I needed to match tile to. There were 2 sales associates that were free and walked by me without asking me if I needed help. I drove half an hour to this store in search of a specific tile that they carry, this was very disappointing. I was only approached when the sales lady heard me tell my son "I guess they don't want to help me" at that point it was too late and I left. It's a shame their quality of employment doesn't match the quality of product that they sell. I would spend your money at a store that deserves your business. read more
