I had great experience with Marble Works when we chose them to install Silestone countertop during my kitchen remodel. When the color we originally selected was not available they tried to locate it among different warehouses and provided quotes for several similar colors. We chose one of them and they did a great job - showing up on schedule, and doing an excellent job. I would happily work with them again if I need any additional countertop work done! read more

Terrible work, no interest in customer satisfaction. I'm just noticing that recent reviews are all terrible - I wish I had looked sooner. Also - there is very little transparency in the organization. One phone number, have never been able to speak to a supervisor, etc. I had a reclaimed and sentimental piece of marble that was local to the business and I paid top dollar for Marbleworks to pick it up and cut it into two pieces, finish the surfaces and edges and deliver the pieces to me in NYC. They warned me that there were oil stains and I understood. The price included "installation" and mine weren't being installed, but when I questioned it (neither was a countertop) they said that delivery counted as "installation" ... I agreed to the price. BUT they delivered the pieces rubbing up against each other with nothing in between the raw pieces and the largest piece was delivered with a huge -- though not super deep -- scratch -- and the smaller piece was significantly less "shiny" than the larger and with smaller scratched and like it hadn't been cleaned or as polished as the larger. I withheld the balance (about 39% of the total) until the scratches were removed -- it seemed if they WERE installing a countertop they would've done a better job of leaving me with better surfaces. They insisted on a certified check for the balance. I spend $$$ on cancelling a check, getting the certified check and to buy tarps since they'd now be doing the work in my apartment. The first appointment they gave me to fix the scratch they called the day before to reschedule. Okay. The second appointment I waited all day for them to come and at the end of the day they told me they got held up and could not come. I was upset and I told them I needed a first appointment and waited weeks until that appointment could happen. Unfortunately, when they showed up the workmen were told by my building that I needed a COI - Marbleworks did not inform me of this possibility (it seems they should if they know their business) and I was unaware myself. I sent them the sample COI within minutes but was told it would take time for the COI (which, if they had a relationship with their insurance company, should be fast, no?) that the workmen wouldn't wait AND that if I wanted them to come back I would have to pay them an additional $750 on top of what I owe them. I was sorry about the COI issue an will own my ignorance BUT it seemed to me we were even, since I was stood up once and accommodated weeks of rescheduling, and delays - not to mention bad work in the first place. I told them I'd be willing to wait until it was convenient for Marbleworks to get back to the city (vs. insisting on first appointment, etc.) but they said they have no plans to deliver back into the city unless I pay them $750. So they will not accommodate me in any way to fix their shoddy work no matter what my concessions are - without charging me more $$$. They have no interest whatsoever in making this very polite, very patient customer happy - by fixing their shoddy work to begin with. Since I have had no customer satisfaction, I am not going to pay the balance but am instead looking into local marble repair companies. While my sales contact was unfailingly polite, he is so great at stonewalling that I'm guessing he is being incentivized on making me go away and/or pay more $$$ than actually creating a happy customer. I'm looking at beginning a renovation in the next year and I would not deal with them again. read more

I regret using them. I ordered a quartz kitchen countertop and installation with sink. Plus removal and disposal of old countertop ($275). After the worker, George, took old countertop with sink out, I noticed wall damages. I wanted to fix it but he said "I can cover it. I did it many times" the result? See pictures. He couldn't place brackets on one corner of under mount sink due to holes on countertop for brackets were in wrong places. 3 days later, chalk between countertop and under mount sink started to melt. See the picture. I had to apply waterproof chalk by myself in order to prevent further damages. The company offered me to finish waterproof caulking. But looking at their finished low quality work, I declined her offer. The company wrote a long defensive email saying they delivered a high quality work. Their high quality work and my standard have a huge gap. I had to spend more money and labor to fix their work and placing brackets to secure under mount sink. I regret not researching about this company's reviews. read more

Be forewarned! This business is the worst! Upon installation of my absolute black leathered granite countertop, the technicians actually scratched the finish during transport. They proceeded to rub the scratches with sandpaper and then seal. As a result, the finish was uneven and showed the rubbings. The technicians came back the next week and proceeded to cover the entire countertop with abrasive cleanser and again rubbed with sandpaper. Needless to say, there is no more leather finish on the top -- it is dull and lifeless -- and the rub marks are still obvious. The attached photos speak for themselves. This review does not require a response from the owner since your mantra of "granite is a natural stone and has cracks and veins, etc., etc.," is your answer to any and every complaint. read more

Our experiences with the sales people was great but lack of profesionalism later on was problematic. We asked twice and then confirmed that the installers would remove the old granite. We were told yes. On installation day the installers put the granite in the truck, then said there was an additional cost. After paying $4000 for countertops in our tiny kitchen, we expected the "boss" (as she was referred to) to waive the $175 fee. But no: "we have to pay to throw in the dumpster so you have to pay". Rather than generate good will, they nickel and dimed us. We also ordered a $300 sink, which came without a drain!, We were told" Go to Home Depot. Totally unprofessional. Granite and quartz are commodities. Shop elsewhere. read more

We did not end up going with Marble Works (because they didn't have exactly what we wanted at the cost we needed), but my experience with them was great. They were super polite and professional, never rushed us to choose slabs and responded to all of our emails quickly and thoroughly. Unfortunately our project manager chose to hire Marble Works for our Vetrazzo recycled glass kitchen counter top. Marble Works charged us over twice the rate quoted by other suppliers and www.vetrazzo.com - a whopping $276.50/ sq.ft. - and did a terrible job. Marble Works made the counter with an unnecessary ugly seam and their installer left a large blue mark that can't be erased (see pic). Zero customer service, very rude and unhelpful when we wanted to discuss. Go elsewhere! read more

Other reviews have already mentioned how rude they are which I will second (and third and fourth) The office manager was a nightmare. They do not take responsibility for their mistakes and short of hanging up on me it was a miserable experience. I've never dealt with a company so contemptuous of their clients who are spending thousands of dollars. I think the material I picked is great and the countertops look really nice, but why deal with people who are not going to treat you well if you have questions or issues? If you are considering this place, I highly recommend to STAY away from them. They did a poor job with my simple granite counter top. The granite is way off from the wall in several spots and most importantly, the customer service is horrible. They are NOT very professional at this location. My advice is to take your hard earned money and check out tile places in White Plains. They are outstanding and have very professional people working there. I am writing this from my fabulous new kitchen and Marble Works was a big part of the end result. Marble Works cut and installed the backsplash and countertops, and both are perfect. The quality is excellent and they were excellent to work with. During the process of confirming the measurements, a problem (my fault) was identified and Peter at MW did everything he could to fix it. And he did! He was helpful, creative and solved the problem so I got the exact design I had intended. My mistake could have ruined the outcome but MW figured it out with a few options. The installation was smooth, which is a challenge given the crooked walls of NYC buildings. Even the designer who was working with me thought Marble Works handled everything professionally and with excellent quality. I highly recommend MW and will use them again. read more

I had a smallish job - cut a counter by 12-14" and round the corners, etc. Other services were not interested. Marbleworks did not hesitate. They offered both fully onsite and offsite services options. I opted for them to take the counter top back to their facility. Their service team was very professional and friendly. What was most impressive was how thorough they were in their service and attention to this installation. Again, it was a small job..but they made me feel like it was just as important to them as much larger jobs. I highly recommend these folks! read more

We recently had a quartz countertop installed by Marbleworks in Yonkers, NY. We purchased the quartz top from another store who subs out the installation to them. While shopping for the top Marbleworks was great. Christopher couldn't have been more helpful. That quickly turned around when upon completion of the instal I refused to sign their paperwork of satisfaction. We were not happy that the seams left in the quartz were visible despite being told while we were shopping for them they hide them and make them barely visible, like they were hardly there. We were even shown a sample of what we could expect to see and feel. Both of our seams are visible and easily felt while running your hand over them. In fairness to them one isn't all that bad and you do need to look harder to find it, but the other one all you need do is move toward it and it becomes clearly visible. In addition the sink is not centered in the hole that was cut. Frankly, I don't care what claims they make, they did a lousy job matching the quartz pieces together, the flow in the graining doesn't jibe at all and the seam job is glaringly obvious. Especially moving towards it or standing above it. The call following the installation issue was like we were dealing with an entirely different company. Just like other folks here claim. Jeckyl/Hyde comes to mind. All Christopher would tell us (repeatedly) was that this was his top installer, and through looking at a picture the seam was "tight" while we kept telling him it may be "tight" but very visible and rougher then we believe it should be. They did send out a field supervisor who ran a credit card over the seam and concluded it was smooth. Mine click, clicks, but I guess he had a magic one. I will try to include pics on this site after posting. You know all I can say is, we paid a lot of money for this top, we expected better customer care throughout the entire process. Like other folks have said, once they have your money, if there is an issue, customer service goes out the window and they become defensive, and combative, and offer no solutions or resolutions. Seems from other comments I've read here that when they're good they're good, but when things don't work out, too bad for you. If I were doing it again I'd go elsewhere. read more

Ten years ago they did 2 magnificent natural granite kitchen counters for me, and then 4 years ago another granite counter and breakfast bar. All are gorgeous and still look new -- never the slighted problem. So beautiful and perfect! They were a lot of work to design and install. Just now they installed a counter in my bathtub of a composite stone and the result takes your breath away. The service, skill and products offered by this privately-owned company is amazing. The people are lovely and the workers are truly talented craftsmen. I think their prices are more reasonable than others my contractor recommended, but since I am paying directly, there is no commission to the contractor involved. They have a huge yard where you can see the marble and granite in the rough, if you like. Nature and good craftsmanship combined -- can't praise highly enough. I highly recommend them. They don't know I'm writing this, but if they see it, I want them to know what a pleasure it is to do business with them. read more

Do not use these guys! Go somewhere else. They delivered a granite counter top and after we noticed it was cracked they refused to replace it. They're so nice to you when you walk in the door but as soon as they have your money they forget about common customer courtesy. We had the guys from Marble Works do the counter top for our master bathroom vanity. They measured for the template and installed the piece we selected, all within about 4 business days.
