I saved his card and later called him for an estimate to paint some rooms in our townhouse. My original suspicion was correct. Mario is an excellent, hardworking, reasonably priced painter. After we briefly talked on the phone Mario stopped by several days later and gave us a reasonable estimate, several references, ideas on color selection and a store to buy the needed paint at a discount, using his account. Mario and his helper arrived promptly at the scheduled time, patched and sanded cracks and nail holes, moved furniture, masked and covered the entire area and worked like demons painting our kitchen, dining room, family room, den and hallways. When finished, my wife and I were totally WOWED! Smooth walls and ceilings, no bare or thin spots, ruler straight lines, along with excellent clean up. In short; no runs, no drips, no errors. They not only were the least expensive of all the others that bid my house out (7 bids in total), but they were also very easy to work with. The main reason we chose Partners in Painting over the other vendors (besides prices) was their rep. My husband had a good feeling from Christian the minute they met. He was straight forward, and very transparent with the price points. He was also super friendly, easy to talk to and down to earth. Christian hooked us up with the Sherwin Williams rep, which totally helped us out with colors (deciding on wall colors can be hard to do on your own). Christian was also very communicative the entire time. He went through all the repairs that needed to be done, and itemized the services on the contract. This was very helpful! My house is 2,700 sqft. They painted all 3 levels, the baseboards, and the closets. They also caulked the baseboards to hide the wall gap. These guys did such an amazing job. Their lines are clean, and they slapped on a few coats so there are no "thin" areas. There was no mess when the project was done, and we didn't find paint spots on our furniture or all over the appliances. We went by the house mid-project, and Christian told us to leave notes in areas we thought needed touching up or in places we thought needed another coat. Really, these guys were, hands down, the best home service we have hired so far. We were a little concerned that we chose one of the lowest bids, because sometimes low prices can mean low quality. SO NOT THE CASE HERE. It turned out to be the best decision we made. The new colors are definitely "us". It looks amazing, and it's finally starting to feel like home because of Partners in Painting.
