I have been a homeowner for over fifty years, living in four different residences requiring various…read moretradesmen to perform a variety of jobs that I couldn't do. NEVER have I had the problems, disappointments and general dissatisfaction as I have with Marvin Forgueson and Superman Paint and Drywall Specialist. That opinion is based on the following: Upon agreeing to Marvin's bid, I requested that the job be done as quickly as possible and that he would have to move some boxes, tables and various tools and equipment to get to the area needing drywalling, finishing and painting. He agreed, citing "No problem". He failed to do either. I issued the first check on June 1, 2024. He didn't come back for three days. It is now over 90 days since he first started, and the job is still not completely done. He and only came by a few days a week for a few hours in evenings. My daughter and I moved most of the boxes and equipment hoping that would expedite the project. It did not. Despite my many phone calls to arrange when he could come back and finish, he often just didn't show up at an agreed upon day and time up citing a variety of excuses topped with, "I forgot". Currently, I am out $2,680, have an incomplete job but I refuse to continue having Marvin and his company do any further work on my property. In summary I found Marvin and Superman Paint and drywall Specialists unreliable, undependable, and unresponsive to a customer's requests.

They gave us a reasonable price, got to our job quickly, and were very respectful. I work from home, but we have recently had a lot of people working in our house who would blast music even though they knew I was working and sometimes on the phone. Not this group! I saved his card and later called him for an estimate to paint some rooms in our townhouse. My original suspicion was correct. Mario is an excellent, hardworking, reasonably priced painter. After we briefly talked on the phone Mario stopped by several days later and gave us a reasonable estimate, several references, ideas on color selection and a store to buy the needed paint at a discount, using his account. Mario and his helper arrived promptly at the scheduled time, patched and sanded cracks and nail holes, moved furniture, masked and covered the entire area and worked like demons painting our kitchen, dining room, family room, den and hallways. When finished, my wife and I were totally WOWED! Smooth walls and ceilings, no bare or thin spots, ruler straight lines, along with excellent clean up. In short; no runs, no drips, no errors. The best part about Mario's work is his attitude. He's a "can do" person. Now, a month later we had Mario back to do the bedrooms and bathrooms. Same story...total customer satisfaction. One time they did not show up at all, mind you we couldn't stay at the house so we sat around for a good couple of hours waiting for a call. Whether due to too many other scheduled jobs, who knows. Some areas where the drywall was sanded after mudding is not smooth and can definitely be seen after we painted. Overall a sloppy job for the price.
