Deceptive little croquettes... Nicely fried on the outside but dangerously bad (in a really bad way) on the inside
    C K.

The concierge at my hotel recommended this restaurant when we couldn't get a table at passadis del pep. Overall, the experience was mediocre at best (although in all fairness certain dishes were quite good). Restaurant is on the pricier side for the more exotic seafood on the menu but rest of the menu resembled NYC price (bottle of wine, 6-8 dishes and coffee was around 110 euros). We sat in an odd segregated room with the rest of the Americans that were sent here by their hotels. Inside reminded me of one of those Korean-Chinese restaurants. Service was spotty and cold. You kind of knew this was a tourist driven restaurant when they have a ridiculous menu of water priced at 9 - 12 euros for a bottle of water! Food was pretty good with a few memorable dishes. The raw salmon starter was delicious and the grilled prawns were super fresh and sweet. The seafood croquettes were the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten in my entire life. Rice dishes were OK but really salty / oily. There must be something else in Barcelona with better seafood but if you end here keep it simple and grilled... And stay away from the croquettes!!!

One of the best Seafood Restrauant in BARCELONA . Like Japan sashimi style . All types of Spanish Seafoods . Goose barnacles is $2000/kg . Sea cucumber meat , velvet crab ...... every staff speaks English . Love it

Our hotel booked this restaurant for us because I wanted to try gooseneck barnacles and apparently there are only a few restaurants in Barcelona serve this dish. They charge 30 euro per 100g for the gooseneck barnacles and they only boiled it (in my hometown there are a few ways to cook this delicacy). We ordered tasting manu based on online reviews which was a mistake for us. The tasting manu is 90 euro per person including dessert. Choosing tasting manu was a mistake for us because we didn't like the raw beef and duck liver (I am sure some people will love it). The service was ok. No one bothered to ask if we enjoyed the dishes. I especially dislike the waiter standing next to me waiting for me to sign the bill like I was going to escape or something. What kind of high end restaurant is this??!! It costed around 350 euro for 2 adults one child. Overall it was just ok experience for us.

Very flavorful and fast experience. Oxtail and mashed potatoes 10/10: the oxtail meet is so tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes pair so well with the oxtail. Mushroom, steak, and egg yolk 9/10: soo flavorful and balance of veggies and protein. Amazing textures and flavors. Sparkling sangria: 8/10 I don't normally live the taste of alcohol but this was great. Not tooooo strong and if tastes pretty good if you mix it with the orange juice. Fresh orange juice: 10/10 so tangy and delicious. I can't recommend it enough. Patatas bravas: 9/10 solid no complaints! Dessert Tapas: - bread dessert (Tarija): 11/10 amazing dessert that is creamy, cameralized, and has a mochi like texture. This fried chewy dessert is not too sweet and such an affordable price. - coconut pudding 9/10 solid and refreshing if you like flan - bread, chocolate oil, salt 7/10: I live the complex flavors. The chocolate mousse was light and the bread to mousse ratio was perfect. It's a smaller dessert tho I wouldn't recommend it if ur sharing. Service: amazing! Staff I'm everywhere so it was very easy to order more food. Also we were sitting buy the area where they made dessert and they allowed me to record them making it!! Comfortable ambiance great for date night or casual meals!!!

The feta cheese was absolutely disgusting, it tasted like imitation rubber cheese. - The "Al Ajillo" Style Shrimps (GAMBES AMB ALLADA) had a very strange flavor within it, which overwhelmed the garlic flavors. - The Beef Tenderloin (FILET VEDELLA), she had to spit 1/4 of it out because it was too tough. - Everything was overpriced there for the value. If you are in the area DO NOT waste your time nor money dining here!!!

The service was excellent, our server spoke English and knew so much about American pop culture. He even sang NSYNC songs to us while serving us dishes. As for the food let's get into it: - Lobster Croquettes (8/10) We've had a lot of croquettes this trip, but these were on another level, get one per person. - Paella (7.5/10) Different style of paella from other places we went. It was almost like a paella curry, which was still rich and delicious. - Squid Sandwich (10/10) This is hands down the best appetizer I've ever had. The squid was packed with flavor and the mayo sauce they used paired perfectly. Order one per person, and be prepared to order another to go. - Garlic Shrimp (8/10) Solid entree paired with sourdough bread. Dip that bread into the sauce and you'll be satisfied. - Aged Beef Steak w/ Foie Gras (9/10) This might be one of the best steak dishes I've had traveling abroad. It was cooked perfectly, and came with a potato crust on the bottom and Foie Gras on top. Definitely a must order. Overall a great experience, from the service and ambiance to the quality of the food, this is a must try when visiting Barcelona. Would I go again? Absolutely!

The menu has a nice variety of items, and they're all pretty small so you can try a lot. Our favorite was the squid sandwich, a super unique must get! We also really liked the garlic shrimp, which had a nice fragrant flavor from the heads. The tiramisu was also delightful with a nice balance of sweet and bitter flavors. We heard the razor clams were really good, but they didn't have any the day we visited which was a bummer!
