The location is perfect, just over the bridge across from the Torre de Oro in Triana. The service was spotty, some long stretches of silence but when they did approach the face they were attentive and pleasant. The food was hit or miss - we mostly had some tapas and drinks. The rains came and we had to extend our stay. The staff was accomidatibg and did not rush us in any way. In fact, they went out for our way to ensure we were comfortable - even moving our tables and providing space warmers when the temps dipped a bit. We were in Sevilla during Semana Santa week. All the restaurants were super crowded so we were glad to be able to get reservation. Ambiance was great, we had an awesome view of the river...a million euro view especially right at sunset! The service was professional somewhat formal, but quite slow. The ambiance was elegant but the food took a long time to come out and not any dishes was particularly memorable. The seafood dishes we ordered were bland. The paella rice was a little al dente undercooked. So perhaps we got a bad night. And yes the restaurant was quite crowded. read more

It is a beautiful restaurant close to the river in front of The Golden Tower. We came without reservation. As soon as we approach to the host he mentioned that was not any available table. We were party of 4 and it was one. He never checked. The food was amazing. The service was very bad. At the end of the dinner a cockroach walked over our foot. We killed it. I called the manager and she just said: "I am sorry, I am sorry". She only invited us to 2 coffees. We spent 155 euros. El sitio es hermoso, la atmósfera y el diseño de interiores muy agradable. I own nine restaurants in California I hate to put a better review on a restaurant ,but I think I have an obligation and express my frustration after tthis experience at this restaurant tonight, I travel to Spain, which so far I love everything about it. I eat many different restaurants because I'm love to see what's the culinary experience on other place of the world, we came to this establishment recommended by the concierge from the hotel and good expectations, the location is phenomenal. The restaurant look really nice., Starting with the hostess as we arrive, they couldn't find a reservation that I witness my concierge call on front of me, we wait 30 minutes for a available Table finally with seating outside with a nice view, so far enjoyable, server took 30 minutes to arrive to the table ask if we know what we wanna drink, I ask that would be helpful. If he can give us a wine list, after 20 minutes we receive the wine I order, server open and drop at the table without even give me a test. Ask me if I was OK with the wine, he never come back to refill glass once, we also order a mineral ,water 20 minutes after the wine arrive I ask if the water it was in his way, most likely he forgot, he bring the water ,same thing drop in the table like will happen a Tavern, but not in an upscale restaurant ! we have to pour water and wine ourselves for the rest of the night, I'm still trying to get clue of what's going on with the server and I'm trying to be understanding because It's an older man and I'm sure. He's trying his best but once a star give me attitude after I ask for a lemon for my fish and he brought me slice of lemon and just wondering how I supposed to squeeze the slice of lemons on my fish so I ask for quarters or a lemon at that point I see it very frustrated and say I will go and look for another lemon, the poor guy, which I feel sorry for had a no clue what's going on with three tables. It was going around look busy because it was so confused, at the end of the dinner I'm still very patient and I asked for an espresso and for the Bill, another 30 minutes pass, and it's chatting with the table next to me another couple having dinner that apparently satisfied with a poor service, the server tell this couple couple two feet away from my table. That was a pleasure to work with people like them and no with people that complaining. All the time, look at me and made it a face remark. At that point, my patient completely went away went to look for somebody in front to pay my bill and leave. I never get my espresso and a lady that I believe she was the manager of the restaurant. She asked me what happened. I didn't wanna go on and on so I just said Service wasn't on point and I need to leave, again never complain about any restaurant i dine and I do visit 2 to 3 different restaurants per week with my wife., but this was something else, I'm sure this restaurant doesn't care about any bad review like I see. I'm not the first one complaining about the service, but I have the obligation to tell whoever owns this restaurant to really figure out what's going on with the service, food is acceptable. We could have enjoyable night with a good service, but didn't happen. read more

After three weeks traveling throughout Spain, this restaurant was the worst dining experience. We went on our hotel's recommendation after telling them it was our 30th anniversary. Granted, upon arrival at the nearly empty restaurant, we were seated at a prime table with a great view. An older gentleman with a large dose of indifference, gruffly acknowledge our anniversary after and began our service but handed our table over to a younger waiter (while he spent most of the evening flirting with two young American ladies). His stand in was incapable or unwilling to capably provide service and, after serving our food(and getting a side dish wrong-- I even had to speak up to get wine served with our mains!), left us in the dark and left our empty dishes without checking on us or offering us coffee or desert. After a long period of inattentiveness, my partner and I got up and went to the hostess to settle our bill. Finally, with a curt apology and an offer of two shots of something which I could not be bothered with, we left. Our 30th anniversary celebration was ruined. read more

Beautiful Terrace, but... We had reservations, but when we got there they gave us the worst table ( near a giant noisy fan at the very back) and refused to give us a better place even when they had plenty of empty tables. All the food they served us was clearly reheated (from lunch?). The sea bass was overcooked and lukewarm. The fried merluza was also lukewarm and the batter was soggy. The side of fry's was also soggy. They took off the price of the sea bass, but they charged for the tap water and a very small piece of bread. read more

As is the case with most places - it's down to luck to a certain degree. BUT - we had an excellent long lunch here. We had a corner spot overlooking the river and the service was excellent. I always make an effort to engage with staff and it certainly didn't fall on deaf ears. i.e. they engaged back. I ordered a bottle of rosé and the waiter suggested a different bottle at the same price. It turned out to be a very good choice. We asked if they'd do a paella mixta (not on the menu) but the waiter said he didn't think so but would ask the chef. At least he tried. In the end we order arroz negro which was superb. We loved Rio Grande and will definitely return. We also loved the Triana district - it adds yet another dimension to Seville. read more

I order swordfish at 14.50 Euro. It was thin and overcooked, and served with only a side of french fries. If I had known that I would not have ordered the patatas brava as an appetizer. Nice views but that's about it. Total tourist trap. We ordered vegetable paella and they brought seafood paella. When we pointed this out, they said they could replace it but it would take 25 mins. We were with our children so we didn't want to wait, plus we didn't want to waste it, so we just kept it. When the bill came, they charged us for the seafood paella, which was $12 more than what we ordered. We pointed it out to the waiter and he said we had to pay for the more expensive item because we kept it. We explained that we did not want to wait and it was their mistake. They said that because they offered to replace it, we had to pay. We paid for it but left no tip. Have never seen a place mess up the order and then charge you for it. There are other places just down the street with the same views. Skip this place and try one of those. This place preys on tourists. read more

This place is magnificent! We went there for dinner. View at night is amazing. I can not believe people who say that it is a tourist trap. The service is excellent. Fish was cooked just right, wine was great! Just ask server for a recommendation.
