I usually went to Crystal, but when she wasn't available, I was very pleased with the other stylists I've seen over the years. I haven't had a single disappointing experience at Hair Ambition.

This time I made an appointment for roots touch-up and curly cut with Gabby and she really had her work cut out for her, let me explain: I'm really a regular at Hair Ambition but curiosity got the best of me and several weeks before I'd decided to try what I considered a reputable salon in Montclair, well known for color only. After the wash I was led to a self-drying station fully equipped with products and drying & styling tools. So far so good...NO!! As I combed my hair CHUNKS were falling out. To say I was devastated isn't enough, but I digress, this is a review for Hair Ambition. Fast forward, I explained all this to Gabby, she really heard me and I appreciate that She's truly a skilled professional and she worked her magic and fixed my hair. I left feeling great and confident that my hair is on its way back to healthy and normal. The color was spot on as usual and the curls were beautiful considering the damage from the previous salon. Lesson learned, never will I ever go anywhere but Hair Ambition for all my hair services!

Parking was metered and easily accessible. I was greeted with a masked receptionist who took my temperature and got me ready for blow out appointment. Washed my hair in back sink and then took me to first chair for blowout. Shane was my stylist and made my hair look amazing. She was very professional and easy to talk to, I received a warm welcome and would like to go back for a cut and glaze service. Looking forward to making my next appointment.

During this past visit to Rebel, Luca also assisted with washing and drying my hair and they were a delight- the hair washing was so relaxing and another highlight of the appointment. My last experience left me not wanting to cut my hair for almost a year !!! Leave it to the Generation Zers to have the perfect description for my hesitation or as Sam coined it perfectly i had " hair trauma " . LOL My granddaughter got a great cut from Sam, so i decided to give her a try . Very understanding and patient ! She had to cut incrementally so i could ease into the " process " . I let her take off 3 inches . May not seem much but to me it was Deliverance ! Great cut . The styling with the curling iron last 5 days!! no touch ups needed . Don't let her youth misled you ! Sam did way better then the last few older and "experienced " stylist i went to did . And she knows her limitations . Self awareness and honesty at its best . I would def go back to her . After talking to Kathy, she thought I had gone to her many years ago. I did not remember but after I left and thought about it, I did. I felt comfortable and at home here.
