However, I wanted an alteration done to the foam or refoamed with a firmer material & a slightly different seating position that would be lower and sitting back a little further. Nothing special, right? Well, the owner says that he can't redo the foam as he has no way of cutting it down. Claims that whenever he's tried it doesn't turn out right. Ummm... then how are you doing foam work on any other upholstery?? Why would you recover foam that is 15 years old?! Needless to say, I gladly walked out dodging a bullet and checked this place off of my list of go-to shops. Any shop that doesn't have the necessary basic tools of the trade isn't a legitimate shop. Would you take your car to a shop that only has a pipe wrench? Absurd. I give 2 stars for honesty... I think that is what it was.

I went to pick it up a couple weeks later when it was done and the corner was cracked. Obviously, weight was put on that area to adjust so they could stitch it. I pointed it out to them, and they said it must have been that way when I dropped it off. Why would I have bothered to drive an hour to get to Panama City Beach, (a 2 hour round trip) and pay money to get it fixed, if it was cracked before I dropped it off? They refused to take responsibility. No wonder they demand payment ahead of time. Great customer service from the guy I dropped it off too, but terrible customer service from the guy I picked it up from.
