The house was originally flipped when we bought it, and the flippers had done a subpar job taping and caulking the drywall, and we had a lot of cracking. S&E took on the challenge of painting the entire inside of my newly purchased house. From our initial meeting Sava explained what it would take to reach the goal I had. I explained that time was of the essence because I would be "homeless " until he finished. Sava is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to paint color and paint coordination. All I knew is that I didn't want the horrific colors that were existing. He walked me through all the choices I had selected and showed me how it would look. Sava was wonderful! I hired S&E Masters Painting to paint my kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanity and cabinets, and a small wall in my bathroom. Sava's quote was reasonably priced (it was right in the middle of a few quotes), very clear, and was sent quickly. He was just so nice when he came over to look at the job and seemed so confident I had to go with this company. I'm SO happy I did. My cabinets look even better than I imagined they could. His crew took off all the doors and worked on them in their shop for a few days. My cabinets are old and had a glue-like material on the front from a previous owner. Sava took extra time with my cabinets to sand them and treat them as much as possible. The end product looks absolutely amazing! My cabinets are smooth, soft, and look like new. So thrilled that we found S&E Master Painters. I reached out with a last minute job to help paint a few old wooden doors and fix some scuffed up molding in my 1890s Victorian house ahead of a birthday party we were having . Sava quickly responded to set up an estimate appointment and confirmed that they would be able to get the job done in the two week window I was hoping to finish the project. When they came for the estimate, they said they could also paint the bathroom to really finish the look (I had initially left this out thinking it would make the job harder to finish in the short timeline). They promptly shared a fair quote and agreed to work the following weekend to make it happen. They were on-time, very clean and did professional, precise work on all the intricate details on our molding and antique doors. The doors required some serious stripping (removing probably dozens of layers of paint over decades of use) and were a much bigger project than originally intended. They took this in stride and didn't do a rush job, instead taking one of the doors home with them to give it the care and time it needed. On top of it, Sava and his partner became heros to my one year old son. He was fascinated by their working and they stopped to make funny faces at him! I can't say enough how happy we are with the result, it makes our work-in-progress house feel so much more pulled together. I'm writing this review as I'm still in the hospital after giving birth to my daughter 2 days ago. It's definitely a big weight off my shoulder as I get to relax and truly enjoy this special family time, knowing that my home projects are actually complete, due to the hard work of owner Sava. We had a very tight deadline to get our home ready after just moved in weeks ago. From the initial consultation to the meetings with our designer, to the many communication changes with my husband and I , Sava was always professional, honest and efficient. He went above & beyond his job to help us coordinate with our tilers and carpenter to make sure everyone work together to meet the deadline for our baby's arrival. Not to disregard the fact that he's a true perfectionist as a painter, takes great pride in his work and makes sure our house looked the best and we are happy with it. He was willing to re paint almost half of our house for us, though it wasn't his fault we didn't like the color we chose ourselves. I highly recommend Sava for all your painting needs. Update after a couple of months: After some time in the house, I noticed some things here and there. Docked a star because we found some unpainted spots behind and to the side of the sink and toilet. Also, a little splatter here and there. As mentioned below, ran late for the inspection and rushed through it a bit. Still, they were fast and friendly, so the majority of the review still stand. Highlights: responsive, fair, friendly, and did a great job. Was the first person to respond with a quote, was tied for the best quote, and was only one of two people that were free for a job with only 3 days notice. I expect this an outlier, but once he got to my job site and saw it was less work than originally anticipated, he gave me a lower quote (making his price much less than the other quote I got), which speaks to their honesty. They ended up being 2 hours late, but they did come from Walnut Creek to Sacramento and traffic can be unpredictable. When they were finished, I ended up not seeing their message that they were done until 30 minutes later. With travel time, he waited 45 minutes for me and we're very understanding despite still having to drive over an hour back home. Did a great job. read more

We recently helped our daughter buy her first house after years of renting. Escrow closed about 3 weeks before her rental lease ended. The new house had been painted inside with very dark gray and raspberry. It was hideous. So I contacted several painters in hopes of getting the entire interior repainted before her family moved in. Several painters came to quote my job but Sava quickly rose to the top with his knowledge and attention to detail. He showed me things that needed fixing during the walk through that I hadn't discovered yet. His bid was not the least expensive but I knew that I could trust him to do an excellent job after our first meeting. He was kind enough to rearrange his schedule to work with our deadline and started immediately. His crew taped and papered the entire 2000 sq ft house and started the repairs needed in one weekend. We scrambled to pick colors to keep up with him. He offered to get samples and roll them on the walls to help us decide by seeing the colors dried in the rooms. This was a very big help as paint dries to a different color than when wet. The job was originally bid to paint the walls only but Sava came to me and showed me that the prior paint job was so sloppy the it would be impossible for him to paint clean cut lines with the woodwork and ceilings. He offered to add the ceilings and woodwork into the job at a reduced cost so that we both would be satisfied with the job. I need to add that during the repainting we also had to replace the master bath shower, floor plus the kitchen floor. Sava didn't miss a beat while working around our tile installation. He finished before the bathroom was complete but gladly returned to patch and paint that room when it was finished. Sava is indeed the master painter, the company is named appropriately. He is meticulous in his attention to detail. For example he checked the texturing in different light and would touch up after painting but was not satisfied until it was perfect. My only hope is that my daughter and her family will take care of such a beautiful paint job. read more

One of the worst customer service I have ever received. Never talk to this person! He is very rude. Asked him whether I can get quote of the home painting instead of him coming first to visit the home so I can decide and let him know and noticed he dropped my phone call. Called him again to see whether there was connection issue that phone call got dropped, and he responded: "Yes I dropped your phone call! Because you asked stupid question!!" I didn't know I shouldn't ask some questions!!! Couldn't you tell me that no I need to come see the house before giving quote instead of dropping the call? read more

As if a short-notice, cross-country move with two small children wasn't stressful enough, the house we moved into desperately needed a fresh coat of paint, and I had about a week before the movers showed up to get it done. Wow what a relief! We had a tight window and had to have the entire interior of house painted. I have to say that S&E Was the best in all categories. They were super hard-working, super clean, super nice, true professionals and came in every morning and stayed late when needed to make sure we could get our project done on time. They even did one better and finished a whole five days early! Even operationally, they were great at communicating at different points in the process. We remained in our home through the whole project and were able to move from room to room with minimal disruption. Where do I begin? I was looking on Yelp for interior home painters and S&E Masters Painting was one of the companies that responded. My request was urgent because I was moving in less than a week and wanted the interior painted days prior to the move. Sava (owner) was willing to meet me on a short notice, gave me a great quote, and began to prep the very next day. He and his team were done days before my deadline.
