If this man is in business again, it is a crying shame! We had also used his business previously…read moreand were happy with his employees work. Several years later we contacted him to install new windows at our home. The outcome for this project was far different that the first. It appears Mr. Finkbone has taken many "customers" money and ran. We are also one of those customers who he wrote a contract for, cashed a check to cover a deposit for windows to be ordered and installed. When contacted for an installation date, we too, had been "ghosted". Claims to the Attorney General, got us some information, but never any results of installed windows or returned funds. The web shows that his business IS open. IF this is true, please do your own research and be aware of his past practices.

Then my husband passed in 2022. I hired Bill to order a custom shower door and gave him a $1500 deposit! He lied saying he had to check with the company as to the delay! Later he confessed he never ordered the door! He promised to repay me with interest and asked for more time to repay me and promised to include interest! After a year of empty promises he ghosted my emails! It wouldn't pay me to pursue this financially! It is like he became another person! My husband would be shocked to know Bill became a thief! What a sad way to end a career!

Since the item was so large, we asked for it to be delivered which was an 80.00 added fee. We told the saleswoman the width and depth of the shower that we wanted (having no idea that the base of the shower could be three inches high or 9 inches high). The sample tub shower on the floor had a 3 inch base, which is what we wanted as we did not want to have to 'step up into' the shower. The saleswoman did not inform us that there were two sizes of thresholds. The shower arrived with the 9 inch threshold. Our contractor did not notice the 9 inch base until after we had brought the shower into the second floor bath through the wall of our house as it would not fit through the doorway. The wall was already sealed back up when it was noticed. However the shower door that also came with the shipment was sized to fit a shower with a 3 inch threshold. So the shower doors rose 5 inches higher than the top of the tub shower. We also ordered the door in Polished Nickel. All of the hardware was Polished nickel. My fault for not looking at the receipt after we ordered; the hardware was Polished Nickel but the door was ordered in Brushed Nickel. Our contractor made the shower door work by building blocks between the door and wall, but the shower still looks out of place. When I called and spoke with the saleswoman she initially tried to blame our contractor for not reading the schematics correctly. Then she asked if we purchased the shower doors from Swartz. (Of course we did) When I asked for a possible discount on the faucets that we still needed for the vanity, she offered a very small discount (we got them at Lowes for way less than her offer with discount) She did not even offer an apology for the rather huge mix-up. Nor did she offer me the opportunity to speak with a manager about the issue. Nor did she seem to care at all about her failure to check her own measurements when ordering the shower doors to fit the tub-shower. So I wrote this review, which is a shame because they do have lovely items.

I was contacted by the owner and she apologized for the experience and mentions that it will never…read morehappen again. I plan on giving them a second chance by visiting them for our next renovation project.

Communication was excellent and the work ethic of the company was reflected in EVERY team member throughout the project. Having lost my husband just 20 months prior to the fire that ravaged the home we built and contents curated over a lifetime, I am especially grateful that I had the opportunity to work with this company. Special shout outs to Jonathan King, the Project Manager who kept the project on track without sacrificing a single detail, and to Patrick Smith, Derek Thomas, Aaron Holbrook, and Jase. This crew and the rest of the team had my back all the way. I highly recommend C&Z - it would be impossible to have greater praise for all they did to get me home within 9.5 months.

This is the second time I have used C&Z for remodeling and renovations. I cannot speak for…read morerestorations due to fire or water damage...but I CAN speak for renovation work. We had a second floor and garage addition over 18 years ago from C & Z. Flooring installed in the second floor is still good after all these years and did not need to be replaced. This time around, I contracted for another addition to the side of the house and a kitchen remodel with other work being done to every single room in the house except for one. This was a huge undertaking. Hats off to the crew who did the first remodel as there were 12 people living in the house during that renovation; this time there were only 7 people living through most of the renovation (and a dog) increasing to 9 towards the end of the work. While the crew members changed over the years, Aaron Holbrook was present for both remodels. Trying to remodel and renovate around so many people was challenging and so we are grateful to Jonathan King, Patrick Smith, Ron, Anthony and especially Jason who almost single handedly painted the entire house. The crew had to work around all these people while installing cabinets, flooring, painting, ceiling tiles, framing, etc....The crew was flexible, considerate and courteous. I feel the overall cost of the project was fair for the amount of work that was done both inside and outside of the house. We will be contacting them again for future work.
