I have had the SKS dual fuel with sous vide for about 6 months. It is a very quirky stove. Be very careful about opening the oven doors, even without steam function on, as large billows of steam emerge capable of burning your face, which happened to me once. SKS admits this issue and tells one to stand aside. Tonight I used the large oven. Would not turn off plus the light went on in the left oven and is still on with the door soundly shut. Probe function not reliable. And for what it's worth, gas burners make a whirring noise when on. This stove is poorly engineered. I am asking for LG/SKS to take it back. read more

WHO OPENS TIL 10 PM AT NIGHT? besides restaurants. .. i mean Sasha is so kind to take phone calls until so late when everyone else is just chilling. I would usually not be able to find a place to service me after im done working at around 6 pm during weekdays which frustrates me to have myself not enjoying my weekend but to go do chores that i dont want to do. Anyways heres my story. I bought a shitty expensive used refrigerator from this placed called Appliance Depot. It was foolish of me but i thought if its expensive, it must be good. But they sold me a fridge that was nothing but trouble from ice building up on the ice dispenser to broken control board (i later found out). 1st visit: i made an appointment with Sasha and he came by om Saturday to check out why my fridge wasnt low in temperature. he said the control board was malfunctioning which he told me he would replace for 300 bucks. I was really hesitant to spend that much money but i trusted Sasha that it will nor cause any other problems. He fixed, and worked perfect...for 1 month. 2nd visit: It started doing the same thing so i called Sasha and he said im still covered under the warranty for free parts and labor. But this time Sashas dad came by. (his technician) He said it was a problem with control board again and said he would need to get it replaced. 2 weeks later after ordering from the control board manufacturer and getting the part, he came again to replace it. Then it was working perfect for 2 weeks. then it started to do the same thing. ... i was really pissed and was about to blow up this fridge. Since i saw what the problem was (ice building up in the coil due to defrosting not working properly), my wife melt the ice with hair dryer after unplugging the machine like a tech for a temporary fix. then i called Sasha again and told him it was doing the same thing again. 3rd visit: He came by 2 weeks later on sunday only to find out that it is now working fine. i dont know when this machine is going to break down on me, but i would like to thank Sasha for coming down and taking care of me after all these visits. ________ 4 stars just because i had to have him come so many times to fix the problem and that it was eating up so much time of mine. We had a bad experience with S&K here in San Francisco. It looks like this company might be a franchise, so results may certainly vary. We had a technician out to fix our side by side freezer fridge last November. We had a problem with temperature control in both the freezer and the fridge, with the ice storage turning into a solid block on the freezer, and food freezing in the drawers in the fridge. After one failed attempt to fix the problem, we we told we needed a new control board for the unit. This job cost $700. Warranty was one year parts, 30 days labor. Problem not fixed, but it was better. Continued to get worse over the next few months. Meats and cheeses and veggies freezing solid in the fridge. So we call them back. The lady who answered the phone says she has to talk to the tech and call us back. After two days I call again. Lady says tech has to order part and will call me back later. No call. A week goes by. I call again, the lady says "oh, I was going to call you back yesterday but didn't want to disturb you".........huh??? She then says, the tech says we need another part to fix the problem, and he can then fix problem for ANOTHER $700. At this point I decided to cut our losses. I'm out $700, but these guys just don't seem ethical and we will probably just buy a new fridge. If you need appliance repair, I advise going through a storefront operation! read more

Woke up Thurs. around noon. No messages on recorder. Refrigerator still running. Logged onto Ebay, found the part and ordered it. $82. Sasha called at 3 p.m. asking if I still wanted the part installed. Told him I might just buy a new refrigerator. Had Sasha called me in the morning and inquired at that time, I probably would have had him fix it Friday. I installed defrost timer on Friday in 10 mins. Works perfectly. About 4 months later, Sasha contacted me to apologize for not responding. He explained that he was out of the country due to a family emergency and had to temporarily close his business. He offered to come fix my dryer and give me 50% off repairs or free maintenance. I took Sasha up on his offer. He came on a Saturday morning and arrived within the 2 hour window he quoted me. Within 15 minutes, Sasha solved the problem and was done and on his way. A fabric softener sheet had gotten inside the lint trap and was blocking the blower wheel. I'm getting a fridge for $240 and $20 for delivery. $260 does not break the bank, my friend, especially compared to the lowest model I could find at Fry's which was $549 which is $698 after tax and a $79 delivery charge (no joke). Sure, I could save $79 on delivery at Fry's and just lug it home myself ... but seeing as how I'm a 5'1" girl, after hoisting that damn but necessary thing up a flight of stairs to my apartment, I highly doubt it would be worth the effort after at least 2 of the discs in my back have slid out. Two years ago we had a service from them. It was good. Than two months ago we call for service. They can out give tell that we needed a new parts for our refrigerator. We go head give them approved of find out the parts we needed and get back to us. We waited, waited two weeks after no phone or email. So we call. I contacted S&K prior to buying a wine cooler that was not working properly (no cooling) to get an idea of the repair pricing. Sasha assured me that the most that could cost is $500 no matter what the issue is and that is to replace the condenser. I bought the wine cooler and called them up again to come out and repair the unit. He came the first time and said that it has a leak and should not be a big deal. Well, I would like to happily add my name to that list of reviewers. Had two issues to be addressed, stove and wine cooler. Shortly after entering my information on their website, Sasha called me, in about 30 minutes... on a SATURDAY! After we spoke, he was able to show up the next day...SUNDAY. He quickly was able to assess the problem with both units, one fixed on the spot, the other he needed a part. He returned the next day, when he said he would, fixed it in about 15 minutes. So this is a delayed post but we all know how life can get crazy...around a month ago I bought a fridge from a friend (big mistake). A day after plugging it in I realize that the fridge does not feel cold, but the freezer seems to be cold. I am not an appliance person so I had my boyfriend look up places and he found this gem of a business! I had called Sears initially and they had it would be $70 just to come and look at the fridge, then all labor and parts would be in addition to that fee....with that I figured I'd buy a new fridge! However, Sasha said it would be $30 for the initial inspection and if the part/labor was more than that, the $30 would go towards the fix, rather than lose out on it! Turns out the part that funnels cold air from the freezer (I have a freezer on top/fridge on bottom unit) down to the fridge was clogged with ice and the fan motor had also given out so the air wasn't circulating well anyways. He didn't have the part with him but he came out the next day and fixed it all for $200 and now the fridge works really well. So two lessons were learned here: -Don't buy appliances from friends, because if it doesn't work you end up eating costs and you get frustrated with your friends, and -Go to S&K for appliance repair! They came out related to a Sears service call. When the tech came out, he had mud on his shoes (now on the floor) and performed various diagnostics. All the diagnostics were guided by someone on the phone telling him what to do. He was going to test the control board, but could not get it out no matter how hard he yanked on it. Also when pulling out the freezer bin, he could not remember how it went back in, so he forced it and broke it. He also bent the back freezer panel. Second trip replaced the damper, third trip assessed and needed 5 weeks for replacement parts, fourth trip, no show. Fifth trip put in sensor. Restated that if this did not fix it, it was not fixable. It was not fixed. Tried calling back and stated they needed to call Sears. All of a sudden all voicemails were full or not taking messages. Called Sears and they sent someone else out. The new group found a service bulletin related to address the issue. Nice guys, but did not get the job done read more

Our dishwasher was not cleaning as well as it had been so I gave them a call. I had used them before to fix our dryer and they were good. But I was especially impressed today. Alex the technician came promptly when they said he would, and had a very professional and pleasant demeanor. He assessed the situation quickly and said due to the hard water we have in Woodland Hills ,we had build-up in the spray arm which was why it wasn't cleaning as well. He took out the filter and spray arm and cleaned all parts thoroughly, then ran a bottle of Dishwasher Magic through a cycle. The machine came out sparkling. Washer stopped draining, called around and got high prices for someone to come out. However, they came out for what seemed to be a very reasonable diagnostic fee. They fit me in their schedule even though their schedule was full. They arrived at the time specified. However, once the repair man got there he seemed confused, and didn't appear to be very knowledgeable. Still, after about 1.5 hours he got the washer to start working again and charged me $120 for labor, which I was happy with. Not even 2 hours after the technician left the washer stopped working again. I called both Sasha and the technician 5 times that night around 9:30 as they claim to close at 10. No answer, no call backs. I figured I would get a call early Saturday morning, nothing. Call 5 more times, both Sasha and his tech, left vm's, still nothing. Called the numbers on their website and nothing but busy signals. Sent Sasha and tech a text message letting them know I would be stopping payment on my check and I will only pay the $35 diagnostic fee since the washer isn't fixed...still no response. I have now stopped payment and went to purchase a new $600 washer! Not happy with their service at all. read more

He was asking what my address was, I assumed to check his appointment list, but no he then asked me what I needed done. What kind of company are you guys running here? well, after a great first experience I am sad to say our second experience has been awful! I set up an appointment for them to come fix my ice maker. Vidim showed up & said it had to be replaced & that it would be $300. I said ok & he replaced it. After he left & ice started coming out it was misshapen & the cubes were connected. It was also making ice very slowly. I called & talked to Sasha who said he would have Vidim call me. It took 2 more calls to get a return call 4 days later. To his credit, he did come out & put in another ice maker. All was fine for a few weeks until the ice maker started making horrible noises that you could hear throughout the house. we ended up turning the entire fridge off for an hour & when we turned it back on things were fine for a few weeks again. Then the same noise started again. We called & let Sasha hear it & he said he would call back because he was with a client. He did not call back so we again called him. He said he would have Vidim call us. 3 days later no call so we called again & he said he would have him call us. It has now been 2 weeks & we have not received a call back. Talk about ridiculous. I am guessing that is because the part is still under the 3 month warranty. we turned everything off again & were able to get the noise to stop but I am sure it will start again before too long. I am guessing they are putting refurbished parts in or something because it seems odd that both ice makers they put in have had issues. I will not use them ever again! I will probably be better off installing a new one myself watching Youtube videos. read more

These guys came to my house and bolted my dishwasher back in...it was falling out and also needed to be leveled. They cleaned my refrigerator condensor and coils. They were at my house for less than 30 minutes, didn't use any parts and charged me $300.00 for labor. This means their hourly rate for labor is $600. This is more than a top attorney in Los Angeles charges for an hourly rate. When I called to complain, the guy was argumentative and rude. It must be good to be him... charging extraordinary sums of money to do simple, menial tasks. read more

Horrible. Do not use. Can I give them lower than 1 star? Someone came out and looked at the inside for a couple of minutes and said I need a new compressor. He didn't have parts, said it would be a big job. He would call me back when he got back to the office. No one ever called back. I called twice, leaving messages. They just cashed my $35 check, which was supposed to be put towards the job and never called back. In the meantime, called Home Advisors and got someone else and he came out promptly, said it was not the compressor, and fixed my freezer that day. read more
