Skill is unparalleled. You have to understand what you're walking into. Upon my first meeting with the shop owner, I felt he was not the friendliest to put it nicely. When I picked up my shoes however, I knew it didn't matter how I felt when I first walked in, what truly mattered was the performance. Did my beloved shoes get repaired in the way I had hoped that they would come back to life? YES. The more I went into the shop over the years, the more I got to know the gentleman, I more I got to know that he genuinely has a good heart and means well in addition to his exemplary skills at a dying art. I went to the shop with a strong recommendation and initially difficult to find because it is on the eastern most and of a strip plaza where there is a curve in the road and One tends to drive past too fast on Route 70 W°. The craftsman is very upbeat and positive, I have yet to pick up my boots, but acknowledge his many years of experience in his craft. I would report further when I retrieve my boots. read more

Not the world's friendliest service. And I was a bit shocked at the pricing = $60 for new soles and heels. To be fair, I don't know if this is expensive or not. And they weren't even my shoes - they were my mom's and she wanted them fixed. It was nearly a week until we could pick them up (so not the world's fastest service either, apparently). So far the shoes are holding up. PRO TIP: Be prepared to pay in cash. This guy does NOT do credit or debit cards. read more

It's okay. Yes, this guy will absolutely not talk to you, but I honestly thought that didn't matter so long as my shoes were resoled. Yes, it's $60, but pay fair wages for labor or do it yourself. My shoes were resoled well, the sole was cut to a nice shape and reattached securely, but the owner took it upon themselves to add this sort of gunky wax to the back of my heels to fill in some of the spots that had been worn. I was really disappointed with my experience. I had called ahead to verify they would clean golf shoes and the gentlemen said , yes and said it would only take a day. I said, great, I will drop them off today. I brought them in and the guy took one look at them, turned them around and said nothing.. I said, I called earlier about cleaning golf shoes.. he looked at me like I was from mars and said, no i can't clean this.. I asked, why.. he said , they are white and white can't be clean... I wanted to say, why didn't you ask me the color on the phone ? but I was taken back with how he treated me. I honestly think he just did not want the job. It's not like I expected them to be like new. So my advice to anyone is to make sure you clean your shoes before you bring them in this store to have them cleaned. read more

Buyer beware I purchased a sole replacement and cleaning. The soles were replaced nicely, but the cleaning...well, my honey-colored shoes came back to me covered in some sort of brown spray. Even the blue shoelaces were turned brown. All the light stitching in the shoe was brown. I took issue with the owner, and he argued with me and insulted me and did nothing to try to compromise. I should have known as soon as I entered the store: If you go there (and you shouldn't), just take a look at all the derogatory signs he as affixed to the front of his counter and then decide if that's the kind of person you want to do business with. read more

If I could give him less than one star I would. After a shouting match about taking my shoes without prepayment I left the store to be called twice within three days about picking the shoes up (the first time was an hour after I dropped them off). I politely explained I would be there on the agreed upon day or the next as I just gave birth and needed someone to stay with the baby. Each phone call was harassing and menacing. I am picking the shoes up tomorrow and plan on giving him a piece of my mind. He will never ever get my service again nor that of my friends and family. read more

I had some minor repairs on my shoes done. Acceptable work but nothing great. Actually the little heel taps they put on fell off much faster than other places where I had the same thing done. Anyway, the problem is the guy that works there, I guess he is the owner. Hateful acting. He just looks at you and kind of grunts. I don't know if it's a language / cultural thing, but I'm not doing business with some place that treats customers as if he is doing them a favor. I should have read the reviews prior to going here. The customer service is non existent. I brought my expensive shoes to be resoled and the guy tells me it will be $60. I ask if he accepts credit card and he says cash only and full payment up front and there are signs letting the customer know that full payment is required upfront and he lets me know that I can pick them up after the following Wednesday and gave me ticket.There is also a sign that says you must have your ticket when you pickup. I went back to pickup my shoes the following Saturday after work with my ticket in hand he claims that they're not here and someone must have picked them up and I told him how could anyone pick them up when I have the ticket and no one knows I took my shoes here. He refused to even look to see if maybe the were put somewhere else or had the wrong ticket on it and he said no. I then told him I couldn't understand how my shoes could have been given out without a ticket since he has signs saying you need a ticket to pick up so I called the Cherry Hill police because not only did he take my $60 but he also took my AGL shoes that were over$300. After I called the police he decided he was finally going to look for them and he found them with the wrong ticket. Not one time did he make an attempt at apologizing and had the audacity to say there was a balance. I told him that how could there be a balance when you made me pay upfront. Finally he just said go. Quality 'old school' shoe repair place, which is hard to find these days. Great repair at a good price. My wife needed her heels repaired for a wedding and totally forgot until that morning. I ran over and they fixed them while I waited. I say 'old school' in that its not flashy, there's some 'non-p.c.' art and jokes on the walls, and its not necessarily the friendliest customer service. But trust me, overlook those things. They are great at what they do! I'll bring our shoes there every time now. Thanks for the help!! read more

Wow, I am so glad I wasn't swayed by the negative reviews from other yelp posts...this man is a true master at his craft. He completely restored my daughter's favorite leather riding boots. They look brand new and I couldn't be happier. I had taken them to another repair place that put new heels on the year before and they were only "wearable"...this craftsman completely replaced not just the heel, but entire sole of the boot and restored the leather to its original beauty. First shoe repair at S&S was about a year ago. I had the tips replaced on a pair of leather upper pumps and the work was well done, fairly priced, and completed quickly. In the last month, I brought in a pair of leather bottomed designer pumps to have the tips replaced. I was told that I could not just have the tips replaced on the shoes, but had to have a rubber covering put on the bottom of the pumps due to the bottom being "made of paper", even though the non-tip portion of the shoe bottom was in good condition. The charge for this was $28, which was much more than a tip repair. The person who helped me refused to just repair the tips. I left without getting the repair done and will not be returning. I felt that I was being told I needed a service I did not want and that may have ruined the leather bottoms on my shoes. Further, I was able to have just the tips repaired else where with no questions asked and for a cheaper price. read more

i took 3 pairs of heels in the sole was coming off the guy ripped the soles of all my shoes and said don,t store in closet then said it would be $16 for each pair and the pair that just needed a tip on one heel would be 16 plus 12 a total of 38.00 because he ripped the sole off.for 3 pairs of heels 60.00 i could buy new shoes for that! he ripped all the soles off every shoe!! he is a nasty, psycho, nut and should be shut down. save yourself a trip and go elsewhere or buy new shoes you will better off. read more

Went to have handles for my handbag lengthened. Agreed he would cut them and connect extensions on. My sister had this done from her shoe repair man. Well he cut them and with a grommet he attached the leather from a belt which was not "exact" and that was it. I was like what is this!! The ends of leather where he cut was crooked, and not lined up with other piece of leather, ends were flapping told him they need to be sewn to look finished he went in back sewed by hand a crooked line. i went "oh my god" you ruined my handbag. brand new rebecca minkoff. He then cut his leather belt off my straps and gave me my bag back. when i went to get in my car. He locked up and ran to his car. That there should tell you something. I would never, ever take anything to him. He knows nothing and is a sloppy worker. Does not take pride in anything he does. He needs to be shut down. read more
