Lake Erie told us that the oil pressure switch went bad and needed replaced for $601. I got a second opinion from a local mechanic. I was told the oil pressure switch is not bad. The check engine light has now come on and reads something about a timing issue. What would cause all this to go wrong from a simple oil change? I feel lake Erie needs to take responsibility for my vehicle it wasn't broke before it went in. I don't recommend this garage.

My new mechanic said the control arm Dusty's had replaced previously was on incorrectly and that's why my tire was crooked. I did not need sway bar links. Also, John replaced my exhaust before and what he ordered was too short so he welded a small pipe to make it fit and he said what he welded was a catillitic converter and no it wasnt. Also they repeatedly installed an incorrect part on my sisters car. They charge $50 just for grease! Takes a week or two for them to get to your car. I dont recommend

I did some research and found that this mechanic shop had great reviews and decided to give them a call in the morning once they opened to figure out what was going on with my van. The Tow truck driver showed up at the hotel to tow my car 15 minutes before the shop opened and advised me that they are always super busy and there is nowhere to even park. He advised that I call first to check and see if they can even get me in. He was nice enough to wait until 8 AM ones they opened and I contacted them and explained my situation. The gentleman was really friendly and welcoming and said that he can "squeeze me in" in between appointments to help me out and get me back on the road. The van was towed to the shop where it was diagnosed. gentleman then explained everything to me that was going on and quoted me a price that was very reasonable. I agreed to do the repair and he ordered the parts fixed the van and I was back on the road within one hour. it couldn't have been a smooth transaction and these guys are down to earth and very good at what they do.
