Bad customer service, malicious tactics to get every single pennies out of your wallet, would not recommend this service

The Service was beyond legendary they worked with me & they made everything clear on what I needed to get back my vehicle the process was smooth easy & fast my vehicle stopped on me in the middle of the road it was storming outside I had my family with me so I didn't think to stay in the car & wait til the tow truck got there I left with my family so by the time I got back it had already been towed I found it at S&W explain to them what happen & they worked with me & even doe I have to get it towed again now from there yard the price they charged me to get to a auto shop was cheaper then thru my insurance I definitely recommend these guys read more

The lady at the front desk is disrespectful, malicious, unkind, and mocking towards people. She was polite to me and my friend who are white but as soon as two young black men walked in, the way she spoke to them was shocking and unnaceptable. No one should be allowed to work in customer service when they are so blatantly and shoclingly racist and unprofessional. Ridiculous. How could someone so disgustingly and shamelessly racist get that job i dont know. Was in an auto accident and the local PD called them to pick up my vehicle. I had already had a tow truck coming but the officer said they couldn't wait. Not only was the price to get my vehicle back way more then the tow driver gave. He was completely rude. I did not live very far from where he was towing it actually on the same street even. Asked if he could take it to my home he said no. It ended up costing double the amount he quoted for my vehicle. I do not recommend them. Wish there was a zero star option read more

Instead of the manager offering to reimburse me he takes his employees word that no one took the money. At that point, I lost all of my Christian beliefs and cussed him out. If you can help it DONOT USE this service, he had the audacity to ask me "why didnt I take the money out b4 the truck left?" Who is thinking about that after they have gotten into an Accident???? Was told the truck would come in 30-45 minutes. After an hour I called again and was told I was the next pick up and would have someone there in 15-20 minutes. Forty minutes after that I call again and am told it would "be a minute" because they just got a bunch of calls. Lied to and time wasted. read more

Was driving down I-85 and their tow truck driver in a red dodge magnum was driving erratically and also cutting cars off on 85! The tow truck driver was flashing some bright white led nights into cars behind him randomly. I don't know what was going on with the driver but either way I would not trust them to tow my vehicle and drive like a mad man. S & W stays in business because of their relationship with the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department. Their entire business model is based around preventing you from getting your car out in a timely manner. Only the title owner can pick up the car but they do not stay open for long enough for a working person to get their car after 5pm. I called at 6:30pm on a weekday and someone answered the phone and told me I owed $175 but they are closed and it will be $185 tomorrow. I am still unsure how someone could be in the office yet not available enough to let me get my car out. I have seen towing yards run by 16 year old girls in the middle of the night so I am pretty sure that S&W's admin issues are not so unwieldy that they need multiple people in the office to discharge a vehicle. This allows them to charge for each additional day that you cannot make it down there. I had to leave work on my lunch break in order to make it happen. Upon arriving I was told that it would actually be $210 (because on the 4th holding day a $40 admin fee is applied). I begrudgingly accepted and paid the fee. I then went to go check on my car before it was released to find that the key had been left in the ignition for 4 days rendering the battery dead. I can only assume that this was also deliberately done so that I would be forced to leave my car there for longer and incur more fines. I loudly complained to the staff about what they had done and was told that my car wouldn't start because there was corrosion on the battery and that the key being left in the ignition would have nothing to do with the battery being run down. read more

This service here was poor and horrendous. I regret utilizing this towing service. I literally felt like I went through h*ll just to get my car back. The employees do not treat you with respect. The business does not treat you with respect. I tried to stay calm for the first 6 to 7 hours but this is outrageous and this towing service should not and cannot continue to get away with this. Downright terrible. 0/10 would not use again. My car broke down and the cops called these folks to get my car towed. $125 to be towed around the corner. I requested to be left in a public, well lit area so I could get the folks I was wheeling with me home safely and lo and behold, they towed me to a private lot (to which I had no idea as it wasn't labeled as such and I'm still new to the Atlanta area). Long story short, my car was impounded by another company and I had to pony up some dollars to get it back too. Not happy. The BRIEF ride was terrible. I had 2 guy friends with me that are pretty stocky and the driver had already someone else in the backseat (girlfriend? friend? i don't know!). The weather guards were coming off the door and there was really bizarre footing to get into the truck to begin with. When we got to the plaza, the driver couldn't park me in the general lot and resorted to dropping me off in front of a club. I called back when a supervisor was available, the receptionist Sheila was absolutely vitriolic and accusatory and downright nasty. When one of the supervisors did call me back, he was also very rude and unpleasant, and unfortunately since I did "consent" to drop my car off, there was nothing he could do to help. One of the guys would not help us jump off the car, he hit a car on the lot that was parked and he punched a car and was being extemly UNPROFESSIONAL! This is all after paying $240 to get a car off of their lot. The guy tried to charge $25 to jump the car off after they said they jump cars off for free. They should NOT BE IN BUSINESS! This towing company that was involved in the tow of our trailer after a recent accident did everything in their power to make our situation worse. They refused to be of any assistance, they billed for things that they did not do to the tune of thousands of dollars, they refused to work with us or provide any kind of help while continuing to bill us for storage due to their unwillingness to communicate or address our needs. This company takes absolute advantage of their "relationship" with the Dekalb County Police. One of our vehicles was involved in an accident and Dekalb County said it needed to be moved. While our tow company was en route, the conflict of interest kicked in and S&W Towing was called. A complete ripoff! They charged $750.00 to tow our truck .2 miles to their yard. YES, you read that right .2 miles!!! It was on their lot for less than 30 minutes. If there ever was a conflict of interest involved with the police, this is a prime example. While they win today, in the end, I'll be heard and my hope is that they lose this relationship with Dekalb County or at least some business. When I complained to the dispatcher, he did not care. These guys are legalized thieves! We were charged over $4500 for a tow service in a single vehicle accident to tow a semi and trailer 7 miles! I was billed $750 for "Supervisor Charge" and was told that guy was home in the bed during the whole process. No fluids, oils, fuel, nor coolant was spilled in the accident nor until this date. Trailer had no damage and truck was only slightly damaged and ran just fine. They use the engine power to air the unit up and pulled it without having to cage the brakes and the drive shaft was not even removed! I know, I drove the truck over 50 miles to my shop after I paid the Exuberant Bill! They charged $2500 for Recovery Charges, why is beyond me, as I said truck and trailer ran and drove just fine. Great job guys, way to go! Robbing small businesses like this is what puts them out of business! He was in the merge lane and seemed like he tried to hit me, so I tooted my horn to let him know he didn't merge and he almost hit me. He raised his middle finger to me to indicate his understanding of the situation. This place is a RIP-OFF...I'm a car dealer in S.C. A car I financed was towed there. I found out about it through a process of elimination. Thinking they may give a car dealer a brake on storage fees given I had no idea it had been there, ( Yeah Right ) I send a driver with a 3 car hauler to pick up my vehicle, not knowing exactly what to expect because they would not send any pics nor release any info of the vehicle condition to me except the wheels are on it & there was no key. Well that being said I sent an extra key with my driver. He gets there pays $670.00 in fees & storage then its discovered the car is undriveable due to an accident. We ask for help getting it to the hauler. They refuse and say they will drop it at the outside of their gate & its our problem from there. I said just give the driver back the $$$ he literally just gave them & keep the car. They refused & said what's done is done no refund & no help. Finally after many calls & arguments they agree to help in a few hours. The driver I hired couldn't wait & had to leave for other pick ups. To which I explain this and they said they would help load the car upon the drivers return. Fast forward 4 days later, the drivers next opportunity to go out of state back to Atlanta. The driver gets there & they refuse to help load it again stating, like before they would bring it outside their gate, drop the vehicle & its our problem from there. Finally I had to call their competitors to load it on a rollback & get to the front of my drivers 3 car hauler so he could load it. I gladly paid a $100.00 Rollback fee to A-Tow rowing so S&W could not STEAL MY VEHICLE. I OFFERED TO PAY THEM THE EXTRA FEE THAT A-Tow charged first to which they refused. What a bunch CROOKED, MORONIC, EVIL PEOPLE THEY ARE AT THIS COMPANY!!! They only let one person at a time go back to retrieve items. It was 98 degreeson this day and we spend 20 mins just looking for the car. They twice provided the incorrect lot number. When the worker on the lot called for assistance they gave a totally different lot number. They also had severe attitudes. This was my car with my things and they treated me like a criminal! This company illegally tow my car after a flat tire it was not in their tow area. They then stated it was in a location 3 miles from where it was to justify the tow. The car was reported stolen when it was where we left it. It took 4 weeks for them to notify us the had the car. They never reported they had the car to local authorities or checked the state database which would have alerted the state of the cars location. When we went to pick up the car they gave us the run around. It took 8 hours to secure the car only to discover that they had completely gone through the car and stole everything that was not nailed down including the jack. A month after we had the car the bank call to see why we had not picked up the car stating that S & W towing wanted 1200 to return the car to them. I informed them that we had possession of the car. I contacted these people and they argued with me that they still had the car I was driving. read more

Great customer service when the car our daughter drives broke down and was impounded. The car wasnt worth paying the impound fees and then towing home. The lady at the window gave us a perfect option and was nice enough to suggest where we might find another vehicle for our daughter.
