Day of the job Daniel and his partner were very flexible. Our flight was supposed to be back the day before and we had been delayed a whole day. He changed his arrival time from 10am to 3pm to accommodate our travel delay. They worked quickly and everything looked great! 9-15-26 I am very upset with the job done by Dasani owner David Garcia on 9-10-26. He glazed over…read morea large bubble which he says was already present. He even took a "before" photo and circled the bubble (below left) which he told me yesterday was to "protect himself." He never notified us about the problem or sent his photo until after we texted him regarding the bubble (right photo). The condo was recently purchased and not yet moved in. Before Dasani arrived, no bubble was observed in the shower enclosure and our home inspector did not notice it. Even if it was pre-existing, why would any contractor ignore it? We were told to leave the condo during the day due to strong odors. Supposedly, David performed hours of prep including cleaning, sanding, scraping, applying acetone, etc. OVER the bubble as if that would be acceptable to the homeowner. He admitted he did not bother to call us when he saw the bubble. Meanwhile, we paid as soon as the job was completed. We did not ener the condo to see the work until 48 hours later. As a result, we wasted $885 which David refuses to refund. Incredibly, he told me he would charge another $420 to return and fix the problem. He said he did not care about negative reviews in Yelp. I now see that he responds to critical reviews by blaming the customer. All the positive reviews mean nothing when a company does something like this. It will cost me a lot more money and aggravation to get a competent contractor because Dasani literally glossed over a problem.

But then about 3 months ago, we started noticing the coating was peeling off and starting to crack in several places. My wife called and asked them to come fix it, and the owner was initially responsive until he found out this wasn't new business. He stopped answering her calls altogether. Then she created a new request with a different email, and he was responsive again. Then ghosted her again, once he realized who she was. Fast forward to last week, when I contacted him via Yelp. Again, he was responsive and called within a few days. I told him who I was, and what my problem was. He agree to have a tech come today at 10am, which I confirmed with him via text this morning. He then texted again to change the appt to 4pm, which I agreed to. When nobody showed up at 4pm, I texted him again to tell him nobody was here. He responded immediately, and said he'd call the tech. Now his phone is off, and voicemail is not set up, so I can't even leave him a message. And no tech ever showed up. I've had my time wasted in the past, but this is on another level. I took time off to be home, and had to find childcare for my kid so she'd be safely out of the house during the project. I would give 0 stars here if I could. I'm also going to keep coming back here to update my comment, in the hopes of (1) getting a response and a fix, but also to hopefully never have anybody else use him again. (This is what my bathtub looks like, less than a year after VP Refinish "finished" the job). UPDATE: After putting me off for another week and having a tech no-show our initial appointment, Fernando finally had 2 techs come to my house to fix the bathtub. They admitted the work had been done poorly, and spent twice the amount of time fixing the tub, vs what Fernando had told me it would take. It's 10 days into the fix, so everything is fine for right now. I'll update again if something changes. Updating from 1 to 2 stars, since they fixed the problem they created.
