I really enjoyed visiting S.mart! You can't go wrong with anything you buy here. I spent less than $20 and got a decent amount of stuff: Black Truffle Velvet Mashed Potato Pringles Ritz Crackers with Chocolate Matcha Chocolates Watermelon Konjac jelly pack Japanese Oreos Gift Box (not pictured) So far, I've had the Oreos, Matcha Chocolate and the Pringles. All were pretty solid! The Pringles remind me of something other than mashed potatoes but I can't put my finger on it. The Oreos are all different flavors and are slightly thinner than the Oreos sold here in the US. The flavor I tried was White Peach and Crystal Grape. Interesting combination to mix with chocolate but it was actually tasty. The matcha chocolate doesn't taste like chocolate. The matcha flavor is very strong and it tastes like you're biting into a block of matcha but with the consistency of chocolate. I wasn't helped by anyone besides the cashier so I can't speak too much on the staff but overall I was able to navigate the store without any questions. The store is a little tight especially when you're sharing the aisles with other people. My understanding is that the S.mart directly next door is owned by the same family and is a store specializing in skincare. They share the same name but sell different items. They immediately walked up and took my bag and searched without saying excuse me or apologizing. I am very annoyed by this incident and I feel humiliated, I am not a thief and I can afford the items you are selling. Lots of choices for snacks, including some frozen items, instant ramen, and more. Prices were fair, and I was able to get a huge bag of groceries here for under 70$. Cashier was super quick and efficient, and the size of the place is nice too, things are compact and easy to find. read more

This used to be my go-to place for unique snacks but unfortunately a lot of the snacks and drinks in the store are always expired. The instant noodles are usually safe but I always have to check the expiration date on everything after having an experience of buying expired snacks. On our usual trip to Chinatown for lunch, we happened upon S Mart. What a find! This place is packed to the gills with awesome imports from Japan, Korea and more. They have every fun snack and treat you can imagine. Lots of Pocky, Hi-chew and tons of specialty items. I picked up some treats and some holiday presents. The store is clean and organized. Very cool. This place has an incredible stash of snacks I have yet to see in the nyc or nj's asian marts. This is a gem of a store. I looked up the tiger sugar instant mix.
