I hate having to leave this review because I've been here twice before and had wonderful experiences, but my most recent visit was very disappointing. On July 19, 2026, I had an 8:00 PM Thai massage appointment and didn't request a specific therapist. When I arrived, I waited until about 8:15 PM before anyone came outside to greet me. It seemed like no one was aware of my appointment, which was confusing. While I was waiting, I even called the business from inside to see if anyone would answer the phone, but no one did. Once the massage started with Cleo, it felt rushed and wasn't the relaxing experience I'd had during my previous visits. I'm not aware of massage therapist techniques, but I felt like something wasn't right during the upper body portion of the massage. My positioning wasn't corrected until halfway through the shoulder and neck work, which left me feeling uneasy. It was also fairly loud because of the restaurant next door. I understand that's outside the business's control, but if you're able to choose your room, I'd recommend requesting one that's not along the exterior wall facing the restaurant. Unfortunately, the biggest issue came afterward. Since that massage, I've experienced ongoing neck pain and nerve pain. As of August 1, I still can't fully turn my neck left or right and have had to begin physical therapy and chiropractic treatment. I understand that there are inherent risks with massage therapy and that every person's body responds differently, so I'm not suggesting this was intentional or that there are never risks involved. However, I do think it's important for the business to be mindful of therapist technique, proper client positioning, and overall client safety. I genuinely wanted to continue supporting this business because my first two visits were great, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, reviews what happened, and ensures clients receive the same level of care and attention that originally made me want to come back. read more

A WONDERFUL MASSAGE! My husband and I have been to a few different Thai Body Works locations and this one is definitely the nicest one. I really love how the waiting room is in an open sunroom area. It makes it so inviting and peaceful. And the suite itself is HUGE! There's a ton of space at this location. My husband and I did a 90 minute couples massage and it was FANTASTIC. Probably one of the best full-body messages we've ever had. We loved the focus they put on the tightest parts of our body. There was also a lot of time spent on pressure points and they definitely used lots of elbow here. It was a good mix of both a pleasant and slightly painful massage. A really good one! If I could give feedback, I'd say the little things could be improved. As wonderful as my masseuse was, she didn't say much. She walked in and got to work, but my husband's masseuse asked him about his trouble areas and discussed pressure. She also didn't really give a heads up when the hot stones got used so I was a bit surprised. Also a small thing, but I've had other masseuses be cognizant of when my towel/blanket would slip and try to keep my chest covered. She didn't really do that much so the girls were out haha I didn't really mind, but just something I noticed! The massage: I asked for full thai massage, firm pressure, walking and stretching and to focus on my neck and shoulders. Instead I got full body - 75% Swedish massage (long deep strokes - which I don't like), 25% Thai. No focus on neck/shoulders other than what is already involved in a full body massage. My masseuse (didn't catch her name but middle aged woman with short cropped hair) was nice enough but I don't think she had much experience. Even when I had a knot I asked her to focus on, she didn't do a good job of working it out or loosening it. The space: I liked the private closed room. Being on the floor was different but was nice, other than not being able to put my head face down while breathing. But it was fine. It was very cute that they served tea and fresh pineapple at the end. Would I return?: Eh. The massage itself was good, but the overall setup really took away from the experience. Instead of a massage table, you're placed on the ground on top of a full mattress. While the sheets were clean, it made me uncomfortable not knowing when or how often the mattress itself is cleaned. Since your face is very close to (or touching) the mattress, that detail matters. They give you two pillows: one for your chest and a small block for your forehead so you can breathe, but the forehead support kept slipping every time the therapist applied pressure. I constantly felt like my face was sinking into the mattress, which meant I had to keep adjusting just to breathe comfortably. It was distracting and uncomfortable throughout the session. My massage was $85. I planned to leave a 20% tip ($18), but when I said the amount, the therapist looked confused and handed me the payment screen. The tip machine was pre-selected at $25, with other visible options of $30 and $35. I had to scroll to find custom amounts, which were displayed in $5 increments, with the lowest option being $15. I ended up selecting $20. They do offer tea and a few pieces of pineapple afterward, so I'll just consider the extra $2 part of the service. While the massage itself was solid, I really didn't like the ground-floor setup or having my face pressed into a mattress the entire time. For that reason alone, I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

If you've never experienced Thai massage it follows your breath and the repeating alongside that relaxes you enough to go deep into the tissue. It's in a great location, with reasonable pricing starting at 30 minutes to 120 minutes. I love the decor too. We came in for the couples massage, and it was the most relaxing Thai massage we have experienced. It's traditional for them to walk on your back, but they will ask you first. And they'll make sure that the hot rocks are ok too. At the end they will ask if you'd like water or tea, and once you've dressed and walked back to the front desk, they will have it ready for you along with a little plate of sliced pineapple. First time having a Thai massage & so glad my husband chose this place! Very clean & nicely decorated. They asked if we needed to use restroom first - asked if we wanted room together or separate (together). They showed us to a room, put towels on the heated floor mattresses & asked us to disrobe as they exited room. There was a folded towel on the mattress & I wasn't sure if I was supposed to leave it there, spread it out & lay on it, or put it over me after I lay down. (The answer is put it over you). They knocked before entering & then asked our massage preferences such as soft, medium, or heavy. Also asked if walking on back was ok. I said I think so, so she told me to let her know if she was too heavy. I could tell there was great care in what they were doing as they would move my arms & legs slowly to gauge how flexible I was (or wasn't). Also asked during massage if pressure was ok, etc. I felt completely comfortable & relaxed. They use their hands, feet, & hot stones. Be prepared to be twisted & flexed - at times I felt a bit like a pretzel, but again they were very slow & purposeful in their movements so as not to overextend or hurt you. The tea & pineapple after was a very nice surprise & added to the overall great experience. Came here the other week and I have to say I really enjoyed the massage here. I opted for the 60 minute massage at $69. So the location is in the plaza with The Lost Bean and it's upstairs towards the center. I arrived 10 mins early to my appointment and was taken to my massage room right away. They had everything ready and the room was huge - very comfortable atmosphere. I didn't opt for the deep tissue this time because it was my first time here and I wanted to see how the normal massage was. It was nice - except I think I will spend the extra $10 for the deep tissue next time. The rooms and office were well cleaned and the ladies here follow Covid-19 protocols. To top it off, not only do they provide you with your choice of water or hot tea (like most massage places do), they also provide a little sliver of fresh sliced pineapple for you to enjoy after the massage! I keep coming back to Thai Body Works bc each time I'm there, I receive an outstanding massage. During my recent visit, I tried out the deep tissue massage as my neck was extremely stiff and sore. I had been trying to resolve it on my own for a few days with no success, so I needed immediate relief. I called on a weekday morning and was able to schedule an appointment on short notice in the afternoon. Jame was my masseuse for the day, and she did an amazing job. Despite arriving 15-20 minutes late, she still honored my full 90-minute appointment, which was a pleasant surprise. Before the massage began I told her about my shoulder/neck pain, and she focused on that area using various techniques, like deep tissue, hot stones, stepping, and stretching. She also worked a bit on overall body (legs, feet) which was exactly what I wanted!! Jame paid attention to small details that made the massage even more enjoyable. For instance, she ensured that the pillow was in a comfortable position, and she prompted me to lie face up at the right time, which prevented my forehead from going numb. Although the price is a bit high, I believe the experience is worth it. Overtraining at the gym finally caught up to me and I'd been suffering with whole body aches and joint pains....so much so that I had to skip the gym this morning for the first time in years, and I could hardly get out of bed. I have regular Swedish and pressure point type massages, but they're more for relaxation and stress relief and I knew they weren't going to fully relieve me of my muscle aches. I decided to Yelp a good place to go and noticed that Thai Body Works had several locations throughout OC, but their Tustin location was the most convenient. Located in an Old Town Tustin shopping center, the parking lot seemed pretty full and most of the parking spots at facing the main street had time limits of 30 minutes to 1hr. I almost started to panic as I had made a 1-1/2 hour massage appointment and didn't want to get a ticket......I then drove around the back of the building, and there were more parking spaces without time limits....phew! TBW interior has a warm, charming, and relaxing ambiance with massage rooms down the hall from the reception. The young girl at the reception was so friendly, polite, and professional.....and greeted me as soon as I walked in, checked for my appointment, and led me to the back where there are nicely decorated private rooms with wonderful nature music playing overhead....so peaceful, tranquil, and suddenly all my stresses started to just ease away. I was assigned to a masseuse by the name of Tanya, and I must say, she is a miracle worker! I like mixing up my Thai massages with some Swedish in it.....TBW offers a "Fusion" massage that combines traditional Thai techniques with a bit if Swedish and hot stone. I took a 90 minute session for $90 and Wow! PERFECT! I still can't believe it myself, but my aches and pains are now 80-90% gone!!! I feel so revived, so refreshed, so ache and pain free now..... I can actually stand up from a chair or bed without difficulty now....seriously! All that stretching, pulling, twisting, kneading, and being stepped on in all the right places did the trick! Oh boy, I am just so ecstatic about having found this place, finally! Great experience, and what really topped it all off was that there was a surprise cup of hot tea and a plate of fresh and delicious pineapple waiting for me in the front lounge, where I sat and relaxed til I was ready to leave. Came here today for a massage. I have been coming here for 5 years. Somehow, I mis-booked, and booked an appointment at the Irvine location instead of the Tustin location. I walked in, they brought me to the room, I undressed and got comfortable on the table. Few minutes later the therapist came in asking for my name, appointment time, etc... when she couldn't find me, we realized I had booked at the Irvine location. Rather than accommodating me, since I was already on the table, she essentially kicked me out. Told me that they did not have another therapist. She started more than 5 min late , left the room 2x for over 5 min and finished 7 min early-- So I paid for 2 hours and got about 1 hr 40 min. When I mentioned it she said she would give extra time next time. Why not just give the correct allotment instead of the customer having to be the bad guy- also happened at the LH location. So the last three massages have been cut short 15-20 min-- not cool. Told her I would not be back and she said "ok". Lana did a really good job mixing up the pressure to get deeper where I could handle deeper and lightening up where it was very tender. She used an Icy/Hot type of oil which felt nice and helped me relax. I feel more mobile after the stretching and my muscles feel looser. Overall a very good massage.
