I went to Sabor yesterday after an 8 or 9 year hiatus. The food quality was still pretty good. A solid three. After you give your server your order, you can expect to receive it very quickly. Since I was alone, my order arrived in under five minutes. Like the major of restaurants today, the value is not good (high price for what you get). The Sabor combo plate offers your choice of enchilada & either a crispy taco or "burrito." The burrito is just a rolled up, lightly filled soft taco. It was disappointing. The chicken enchilada was quite good. Rice & beans won't make you drool, but they were properly cooked. Overall, everything needed more seasoning. Currently has tables with plenty of space in-between which is fine under the current 2020 circumstances, but the atmosphere could be greatly enhanced if they would simply turn down the lighting. On my most recent visit to Sabor, I ordered what I pretty much order at all Tex-Mex restaurants: Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas, and Sabor serves up some of the best around. Their version is bulging with fresh shredded chicken and topped with a tangy, cheesy sauce that's well worth the calorie splurge. Service is always the way I like it at this family owned spot: friendly and fast. Entrees are out in less than 10 minutes. In addition to all of the yummy food served here, the restaurant is actually attached to a tortilla/ tortilla chip factory so of course the chips are fresh and plentiful. (Note: most of the building is the factory but trust me, there's an actual restaurant in there) This place is the real deal folks! Close your eyes and you would not know the difference in the crispy taco or sour Creme enchiladas. Similarity stops there- chips are fresh, crispy, but the thick kind you need with a guacamole salad. I'm not hot on the salsa- watery- not much in there to scoop up. Service is spotty. I wrote this waiting for my check! Watched them skip an elderly couple in the queue twice. What I received in each container is 6 medium shrimp , fajita veggies , pinto beans w/ cheese , and rice. NO TORTILLAS ! I talking none of the typical accompaniments that come with fajitas. The food was delicious as usual . The shrimp were perfectly seasoned . The onion and pepper medley grilled to perfection. You can't go wrong with the rice and beans. This review is for a lunchtime experience. I visited the restaurant (actually an add-on front to a tortilla factory) at the suggestion of a good client of mine in the vicinity. I immediately noticed the "momma's kitchen" aromas wafting through the air. This place gets my BEST TORTILLA CHIPS award, hands-down. Absolutely perfect in every way, and delicious. Could not stop eating them - fortunately the waiter did not bring more than one basket! Must have had something to do with a tortilla factory being next door. The red salsa was better than average. This restaurant is part of a tortilla factory. The chips and tortillas are totally fresh. I have to say this is one of the cleanest restaurants I've ever visited. It's super organized too. Very large space and can accommodate extra large parties. As soon as you sit they serve you chips and salsa. I ordered a pineapple drink which is refreshing. I also ordered some shredded chicken tacos. They are a bit on the greasy side. My kid ordered chicken quesadilla's which she won't say she likes or not. She's a teenager so who can really tell. I think she liked them because she cleaned her plate. Service is prompt. The food is better than most mexican restaurants in the area. I'm from the Valley area and found that this place is pretty good. I think it's overpriced but I'll continue to pay since it's better than other places. read more
