Greasiest burrito I've ever had... the grilled steak burrito was leaking oil all over the bag/wrapper and the restaurant didn't even include a single napkin like are you serious??? Just for that alone I'm never returning. The Jamaica is watered all the way down and their Horchata is extremely powdery. Save yourself the money and don't come here. Just don't!!! Stopped by one mid morning. The restaurant appeared clean. I was the only customer. I was not greeted when I walked in... I brushed it off. Eventually I ordered 2 breakfast burritos.. they were huge!!! The size of the burrito was the only good thing about them. I got a bacon, egg, cheese ,and a potato ,egg ,cheese. I wish I could give it a negative 0. I ordered the steak burrito and it's literally, and smaller than it was when the l place first opened. Nothing in the burrito, meat and tortilla. It was chopped terribly and unable to eat it. Charge extra for stale chips and salsa. We were shocked to find out price on billboard is different from receipt, they add extra cost for credit card payments! We paid $20 for two burritos chips and salsa and one drink. My dad has been a regular since they opened and brought the hearty & tasty breakfast burritos home for us to try. We finally dined in as a family, and it's a Great spot for lunch after church on a Sunday! Order at the counter and they give you a number and bring your fresh food to you. I tried the Huevos Rancheros; the sauce was not spicy but flavorful! The beans & papas were good. I expected 2 bacon strips. which is standard with this meal at other places, but it was more like fresh chopped up bacon bits which was fine for me. You get choice of fresh flour or corn tortillas, and 2 are served in foil in a tortilla warmer. It was YUM! To drink, I had an Agua de Jamaica; tasty and sweet. They offer fresh made horchata, limonada, and Agua de Sandia (watermelon) as well. Mom ordered a small menudo with 'a lot of hominy' and her taste buds were pleased. I think I made the mistake of accidentally trying this place for the first time on a Sunday at 10am. We ordered online (through Yelp) and went to pick it up in the time I was given on the app. When I got there , they had no idea what order I was talking about. It took them 5min to find it, only to see they hadn't even started on it so we waited another 15minutes. They forgot my Mexican coke and were out of corn tortillas that they had to replace my order with flour. No biggie. The barbacoa was not as tasty as I would've thought it would be for the price we paid, but was pleasantly pleased it was clean and wasn't mostly fat like most places. We got two breakfast burritos, chorizo/egg/potato and the other bacon/potato/egg. They are huge by the way. But they didn't taste like anything special. The bacon/potato/egg was so salty. I'm sure the bacon itself was salty enough and they tried to season the eggs too. We couldn't finish that one. The salsas were ok, I kinda liked the red one. It wasn't too spicy but it definitely had a kick. I can see this place being a local's favorite breakfast spot but to be honest... I was not impressed. Very mediocre and bland burritos & barbacoa. The place itself is tiny. Very limited seating and parking. They do have a drive through but you can imagine how packed it gets during busy hours. The food was just basic, mediocre and amazingly bland. The salsas were themselves bland and unremarkable. However, once I had ordered i did observe an interesting looking bowl of menudo being put into the microwave. It had a nice rich color and appeared to be full of fillings. Food was delicious and service is great. Carne guisada was so good! The burritos are wayyy better than anything I've bought in Oak Cliff. Tortillas are made fresh daily. Papa and chorizo was delicious. The potato's were cooked all the way through. I've never seen the skin left on the potato. It was different but good! The sandia (watermelon) agua frescas was so fresh and not too sweet at all. I also tried the menudo and while the flavor was good I wouldn't purchase again. It had lots of fat from the meat. This place is a little nostalgic for me! I grew up eating at his dad's restaurant in Abilene while I was in college. Since moving to DFW in 2010, it's been very difficult to find good Carne Guisada, but I'm glad this place is open. I ordered the Carne Guisada plate and it was just as good, if not better, than what I ate in college. The food came out fast, even though there was a small crowd in the restaurant. The place looks really nice and clean inside. There's plenty of room to sit down and eat but I noticed a lot of people were taking their food to go. Was off during the week for spring break so decided to come through on a weekday, it was absolutely packed for being 11 on a workday. It's small and looks like regular taco spot. The lady was nice but I asked for 2 things and they didn't have them, very odd for being so early. I got a sausage and egg and a barbacoa burrito because they didn't have anything else I wanted.
