This place is AMAZING! My fiancé had been here a couple times and had been wanting to bring me. Today we finally came and I loved everything about it. My first thought was Wow it has such a fancy vibe. I thought it was just like any other Mexican restaurant from the outside but I was pleasantly surprised. The setup and decor is beautiful all around. Service was TOP NOTCH. Everyone goes above and beyond to make sure your food and experience is perfect. Our waiter was so attentive and constantly checking on us and removing any items from our table that we were done with. The food was DELICIOUS. I ordered the mole chilaquiles and my fiancé had the mole omelette. The presentation of the food was amazing but it tasted even better. I use to eat here frequently four to five years ago. Was very excited to get the chance to return today. From the moment we arrived something didn't feel right and once we received our food we knew what it was, a serious degradation of the quality and taste of the food. Let me first say I don't know how many people were bought in order to post good reviews of this place lol I get better food then this in the states. My boyfriend got enchiladas which were just awful!! No flavor what so ever and the sauce tasted sour and bitter. My carne asada plate was just as awful thankfully the meat was tender but everything else was tasteless. I was so upset to even come especially because I was looking for something authentic, and dont get me started on the server she was so passive aggressive and rude couldn't be bothered for ANYTHING. I've been here a bunch of times with my family to enjoy a nice dinner or breakfast. Both options are equally as delicious. They have, obviously, a very mexican décor on the inside. The music that plays and the pictures on the walls are classic golden age era artists. Service has always been spectacular, our waiters have always been very professional and polite. They even offer you some hand sanitizer the minute you sit down on your table. As soon as you sit down, they bring chips and salsa. Both of which are amazing and bottomless. So go at it kids! The menu, although not the longest, definitively has a lot of tempting options which makes it hard to decide on what I want to eat. I've had the fish with cilantro sauce and it was amazing, totally recommended. I also had enchiladas, which I would recommended as well. A huge plus to this place because they offer horchata! If you're looking for a traditional mexican restaurant, reasonably priced and family oriented, you should definitively consider this option. read more

Their breakfasts are really delicious . I've had the "Alamo plate"and the huevos divorciados, and they're both really good. I've also had the guava atole, and it is amazing!!! The fruit salad and their oatmeal is also really good. The cafe de olla is really good if you like really sweet coffee, otherwise, have them mix some of the reg coffee to the cafe de olla and you'll be set. We came here with a friend who is almost a regular at this place so we were treated even nicer =) The interior is interesting with its black and white shows playing on the televisions. The service was great, but I heard that's expected in most mexican restaurants. If you order a coffee (there's a super sweet one you should try), it comes with mini pastries. During breakfast all dishes come with a little fruit and nuts appetizer. The corn tamale dish was yummy. The meat and salsa appetizer with warm purple corn tortillas was tasty. The building is very cool and authentic and fun. The roof especially is a giant palapa roof. I thought it was very cool! Then was the service. It took about 20 minutes to sit, but I was there at noon on a Sunday. So that didn't seem unreasonable at all. I was extremely hungry. The staff was cool. As soon as I sat down, the waiter basically tossed a napkin on my lap and asked me what he could bring to me. I had never had anyone toss a napkin on my lap like that. It was very casual, and almost flippant. But I thought it was awesome! After that, came the food. I ordered the Tortilla Soup, Agua de Jamaica, and the Enchiladas Poblanas. The soup was easily the best Tortilla soup I have ever had. The Jamaica was on point as well. Not too strong, and not too sweet. Just right. Then the enchiladas! Perfectly seasoned green cream sauce on top. With a side of refried beans, topped with cheese. The entire meal was awesome. Huge tip from your truly. I will be back. read more

This was our 3 time here, food is good. Chilaquiles diablo were a little too diablo for me to eat but besides that the food is yummy. Our issue was with the parking staff, we took 3 cars, my father had his ray bans stolen for his passenger seat.. he didn't notice it until he got to the border and it was too late to return. read more

Every time I come to Mexico for my BF dental appointments, we come here for the chilaquiles breakfasts!!! Best authentic Mexican food!

The food here is just ok nothing special but there customer service is the worst i got there and they said 40 min wait and after 1 hour and a half i asked my place in line and they said i was almost up then they took in like 5 families and me and my family were the only ones left and they even have the nerve to say we are helping everyone by order will never be eating here again read more

Our waiter Javier was extraordinary. We have been to several Yelp high rated restaurants and this one is better in ambiance than most of them. This is a really nice Mexican restaurant in Zona Rio Tijuana. They have fresh squeezed orange juice and a variety of other fruit and veggies juices. Also their menu is pretty wide and plates have good portions. The reason why I'm giving a 4/5 starts is because they have way too many people working on a single shift and only a few are there to help. The rest I'm not sure what they are doing. Has become one of my go to spots when in TJ. Great food, great service, great prices and in what I consider a "safe" area in TJ. The only downside is the parking, since this is such a great spot, it gets very busy. But with that said, the valet staff is efficient and friendly. read more

Chilaquiles with chicken were pretty good but very saucy-bunch of sauce and they could be a lot spicier. The Oaxacan omelette was the best. One can Imagine that for this place to be on a nice part of Tijuana, that they have honest people working here, but that is not the case. Went there on Sunday 1/27/2019...a couple of days ago, as usual valet parking no big deal, did notice a day after that stuff was missing from my car, simple items, but still!!! DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES in your car, in this case I'm missing a phone charger that was plugged , a fancy flashlight, they even went & got some candy... not sure if the valet parking are part of the staff here...if someone wants to do anything about this I'm the guy in the black corolla that got there around 9:30am...never going back to this place again!!!!!.. hope they get better people working there... read more

I'm giving it four stars because of it's children's play area, but my experiences here have been more "average" than "great." The food is solid, although there are many other places that are just as good or better -- my main complaint is that it borders on being "cafeteria style" without any real distinctiveness. Parking is a hassle since I always have to valet. read more
