I had Dr. Dale, who was so impatient! After the initial shaping there was a large chunk of fake tooth scratching me on the back that he couldn't see, and after I had to have him try to file it off 5+ times to no avail he declared "I'd hate to move your furniture!" And by the end, he had totally misshapen the tooth so it doesn't look at all like my other one, is crooked, has an uneven line, and is sharp on one edge where it touches my tongue. But because it was already crooked and too small compared to my other, and he wouldn't stop commenting on how picky I was, I just stopped asking him to fix it. I hoped he was right and I was just being picky but I don't even want to smile any more that's how much it bothers me still. He would never include this tooth in a portfolio of his best work, and that speaks volumes to the kind of dentist that he is. Shouldn't you want your patients to be impressed instead of depressed with your work? Especially a front tooth! Two stars because their office themselves were very accommodating and nice, somehow when I called to schedule they had scheduled me at a different office? But when I showed up at the office I had called, they were able to squeeze me in despite "not having" an appointment.

If you need dental work done (anything other than having your teeth cleaned), you should find a dentist who is skilled, who uses high quality materials, and who has integrity. I received a porcelain bridge that covered my front teeth, including a root canal. The price was exorbitant, even with the small discount he offered for us paying cash up-front. The bridge failed after a very short time, with a large chip missing from one of my front teeth. I went back to him and he refused to honor his work. I could not afford to have it redone due to the excessive amount I had already paid for his shoddy work. I also had three apicoectomies performed by a qualified endodontist, which came about because of his incompetence in properly performing my root canal when the bridge was placed. I have incurred numerous other costs associated with the botched job I received at Tony Jensen's hands. I recently decided to see a real cosmetic dentist after all these years with my chipped bridge to investigate the current cost of replacement. The dentist asked me several times whether I had a porcelain bridge or not. He was clearly confused and shocked because as he pointed out on the x-ray, the area of my bridge would normally have been opaque but was entirely translucent, indicating that a very non-dense and weak material had been used. My father-in-law had also experienced failed crowns he received at Jensen's office and also had to find a new, more quality conscious dentist. I am so horrified by his lack of competence as a dentist that I would never receive for myself nor recommend to others that they have him perform any work on them whatsoever, even if it were 100% free. I hope this review prevents others from making a serious mistake in entrusting their oral health to Tony Jensen DDS. I wish someone had warned me.

Crowns look great, but what's underneath doesn't…read more After their initial root canal and crown (done wrong), I ended up with a year-long infection that eventually required an apicoectomy and then a full root canal redo by an endodontist -- who was shocked they had let it go so long (more than a year) and hadn't caught, on imaging, that the entire root canal seal had failed and was leaking. Right after the crowns were placed more than a year ago, I called them in urgent pain -- but they didn't answer for a full week because of "phone issues." In desperation, I went to a 24/7 dentist who misdiagnosed me. When they finally answered the next day, I went back because they knew my case and I didn't want to risk losing my new crowns. They loaded me with antibiotics, did the apicoectomy, and gave me a free bottle of "fairy dust" mouthwash, assuring me that time would help. It didn't. They could have caught this much earlier with proper imaging like an MRI and a timely referral to an endodontist. Instead, it was delay after delay, unnecessary procedures, and more pain than I should have endured. I will not be returning. I paid a lot of money for a nice crown with a hole in it.

The $2400 implant tooth that Dr. Ellis had subcontracted out ended up getting a hole in it after 9 months. So Dr. Ellis charged my clueless son over $750 more to have a replacement tooth made (because my son didn't get the insurance...too bad!!) WHAT?! I called immediately and disputed that the tooth should last AT LEAST a year. Dr. Ellis backtracked and agreed to reimburse my son's account $750 and that the subcontracted tooth was "most likely" flawed. Oh, thanks for admitting this..then why did I have to call..were you hoping to not have to eat the cost of poor quality subcontractors?! Then, my son asked for an estimate for a cash teeth cleaning. They quoted "about $200". Today, after my son's teeth cleaning they charge him $311! He disputed the charge and they said, "Oh, we had to take extra x-rays." WHAT?! He then disputed that he didn't request extra X-rays ...and they lowered the cost to $238. Gee, thanks. The staff IS friendly and it's all very high tech...just get your cash estimate in writing.

Afterwards, I was having really bad nerve pain, I couldn't chew anything on either side of my mouth and waited 2 weeks like they said to. after the holidays I called and they were able to get me in to check the fillings. 2 out of the 4 were not bonded to the tooth and one of them was a maybe. They fixed 2 and wanted to wait on the other and see if it 'felt better'. within 24 hours I knew one of the ones that was 'fixed' wasn't. the pain was way worse than it was before. I couldn't eat or drink and was scared to do so because the pain was so bad. I called first thing Monday morning, was told they would call me back, they didn't and I had to call right before they closed. The gal at the front desk answered "Hi Kylee, lets get you scheduled" like she was very annoyed. They wouldn't get me in for a week and a half for a problem they caused even after I explained I couldn't eat or drink due to pain, I felt very dismissed and like they didn't believe me. I found another dentist that was able to get me in the next day to do an exam. 1 of the ones the dentist 'fixed' and the one he wanted to 'wait on' both were not bonded to my tooth and that new dentist redid them. There were air bubbles in both fillings. He was able to get me numb first try after I explained I had a hard time getting numb and I was pain free the next day and could eat just fine. Since I went to another dentist, and insurance only covers the replacement of a same filling after 2 years I had to pay for everything Out of pocket again at this new dentist and have spent way more than I should have had to. do not go here.
