I would never recommend this clinic to anyone! They completely fabricated a story totally different from what I arrived at the clinic with. If there were ZERO STARS I'd opt for that rating. I went there from the UK May 2024 to try solve a mystery toothache I'd had since March 2020. I explained fully to them the issue was my UL6 First molar. That was clear. I'd had throbbing pain/ salty taste leaking out for all those years and needed to know if the tooth should be extracted or could be saved, is it dying or they just diagnose what is going on with it. They did CBCT scan, full assessment, pocket depths for all teeth. Bone density checks and 'cold test' to check vitality. I was informed that I in fact had a cavitation in the area before that molar, due to a pre molar extraction as a child for braces. They offered to do the cavitation surgery the next day, however I had travelled from the uk and it was a shock to hear this so I decided to try get it done closer to home. Dr Jorgensen and I decided on Dr Dominic in Germany. I came home, finally did the cavitation surgery and am now 9 weeks post surgery. The UL6 issue/toothaxhe/pain/salt taste I still have as that was NOT addressed. I emailed TCD to ask Dr Jorgensen to please recheck my scan and have another look at the UL6 molar as I still had the exact same symptoms I came over to Utah with in May. I then received an email saying there was something suspicious with that tooth! Well maybe you should have said that back in MAY when I flew on from the UK to see you about THAT TOOTH! She told me all the teeth were fine, just a Cavitation in the jawbone between the first pre molar and that UL6 molar I then receive a sarcastic email from Shannon saying that I'd initially gone to the clinic with an issue of 'pieces' of my jaw falling out of my mouth?!? Are you actually for real Shannon? When did I say that? That's the most insane thing I've ever heard. I came with long-standing TOOTHACHE & SALT taste from my UL MOLAR. Where you pulled this ridiculous story from, I'm not sure, but it's a hell of a thing to say when it's not true. Then she states that I only complained about the UL6 molar when I emailed them last month. NO Shannon I actually flew on 2 flights to UTAH for THAT TOOTH! Why else would I be there except to try and resolve toothache I'd had since March 2020 with that tooth. I'm absolutely appalled by this situation and will be taking this further and reporting them to the relevant authorities I don't care that I'm in the UK, I'll do it. I stupidly believed the hype on Dr Jorgensens Instagram and put my faith in this clinic to fly there from the uk to try and get to the bottom of a nightmare 4 years + toothache in my UL6 area. Now they are saying they didn't check the vitality of that tooth. Utter rubbish! I was in the chair when Michelle did the COLD TEST on that tooth and it took forever to feel anything because it's likely a dead/dying tooth!!! I was sent away with no resolution for the problem I came with. Yes there was a distance issue, however I had 2 hours in that office checking that tooth and now they're wriggling their way out of it by saying they didn't check that tooth! If they'd had said this tooth needs extracting, I'd have happily let them take it out, instead they told me the tooth is fine. I don't have any other tooth issues, so of course that's the tooth I flew over to UTAH to get a thorough check of. Disgraceful gaslighting from a clinic that have completely fabricated something which I never said happened. Why on earth would I say pieces of jaw are falling out? Falling out from where? Do you realise how insane that sounds to accuse me of saying this? Why the hell would I say I had pieces of my jaw coming out of my mouth when I came with TOOTHACHE. Avoid this clinic. I'm disgusted how I'm being treated. They want no accountability whatsoever and have made up the most ridiculous story. I saw Derek Preble because of an old large filling in a molar. The tooth was cracked and the filling need to be removed. Instead of of insisting on a crown he worked with the tooth and was able to reconstruct it so that a crown wasn't necessary. I also had a large gap in that tooth that caught food. Again when he did the reconstruction it solved that problem as well. I always feel like my concern are addressed and I am given the best care, not only for my mouth but a whole body approach. Needless to say, I recommend them to anyone needing a new dentist. read more

It's a dentistry...Not exactly the most exciting place to have to go to, and not a fun use of money. Getting that out of the way, this dentistry is great. I've been coming here for probably about ten years now. All through high school until now. On this particular visit I needed a crown cemented back on. They were quick to schedule me at my earliest convenience and when I got there they had me in the chair within ten minutes. This is where the fun begins. They do an amazing job at making you comfortable. Headphones for your phone, a TV in the ceiling, as much laughing gas as you want and more! I opted for headphones and as much laughing gas as possible. After getting the laughing gas I was thrilled to be there! The assistant was very friendly in getting me ready, and the dentist was soon there to put my crown on. At this point I was completely out of it and kept trying to interrupt their conversation. They were both surprisingly talented at knowing what I was mumbling with things in my mouth. My crown was soon back in, no pain at all, and I was taken off the gas. I got my insurance stuff figured out and was out the door with a tasty cookie. These guys are seriously great and have been for the entire time I've been with them. I can't imagine going somewhere else. The other day someone was telling me their dentist never gives them laughing gas and I was horrified. They really do make the best out of a usually awful thing here. read more

I had been going to this dentist for a few years and then came Covid. I finally plucked up my courage to have my gums probed in a pandemic and was extremely disappointed by the health facilities precautions. No mask requirement in the waiting room, not taken straight through as I was promised, staff members with masks under their nose, only regular surgical masks on the dentist and hygienist, no safety glasses on me. I could go on. When I emailed Dr Jorgensen to express my concerns she didn't address the mask issue, only told me their cleaning protocols. Very disappointed. I heard a lecture Dr Jorgenson gave and thought finally I've found a dentist I could trust. Made the appt, and drove south 2 hours to realize that her initial consult was $400. This month she took $100 off! WHAT? No one told me this! Even her phone calling technician. When the tech called she asked if there were any more questions, and I told her I was concerned about cost. This evaluation was written 2 years ago, and I'm just seeing right now that it never posted, and I don't know why . . . My experiences with Dr. Michelle Jorgensen at Total Care Dental were not fabulous. Stunningly my kindness and happy support of them was not reciprocated . . . I'm a very excited, complimentary girl. I learned about this place on FB and was super thrilled to discover a biological dentist close by, AND a female dentist, at that! I called and let the front desk girl know of my excitement to learn about Dr. Jorgensen, and that I wanted to meet her! When I go to a new, specialist's office, I like to have a brief call with my potentially new doctor to qualify them over the phone. I then asked to have Dr. Jorgensen kindly call me for a quick 5-min call, when she was able, so I could explain my out of the norm situation. I was told that the doctors don't call patients back. I restated my reasoning for speaking to her, because my situation wasn't normal. There was hesitation, yet I did get a CB from the doc. I thanked her profusely for calling me back. I let her know right up front how excited I was to have heard about her on FB . . . I also let her know right up front that I was in the process of going to Mexico to a biological dentist specialist to have the bulk of my work done, because it's about 70% less there it is here in the states! I let her know that I would love to come in for a consultation and x-rays, and that once returned, that I wanted her to be my new dentist. I'm a single biz professional, and I get to be very creative with my money. I wanted a full consultation, yet there wasn't one available until quite a bit after my trip and oral surgery in Mexico. SO, I opted for the next best thing - getting my x-rays done. I drove there, thinking that I was going to be having this done with Dr. Jorgensen. I was not. I said I'd at least like to meet her and to say, Hello! The front office staff didn't really want to make that happen. It felt uncomfortable. After asking a few times, they lined that up, yet Dr. Jorgensen was flanked by one of her staff members to ensure that my greeting was, in fact, very brief. The "visit" was so brief, and I also couldn't get anything answered specifically about my new panoramic x-rays that I had just had taken! Michelle was very vague and this was a turn-off. That was very disappointing. I KNEW it was because I'm honest and let them know up front that I was having the bulk of my immediate work done in Mexico. I now wondered why I had driven all the way to American Fork for them and to her, when I could have had my x-rays done with my local dentist, who is actually kind and efficient. AFTER MEXICO . . . I called the office regarding a challenge with one of the temporary appliances in my mouth, and asked how soon I could come in to have a minor adjustment done on it. Michelle wasn't available until the following Tues and I needed to come in as soon as. I was told I could come in to see one of their male dentists. I asked how much. I was told, "We won't know until you get here." "Well, can you at least give me an estimate?" "We won't know until you get here." Wow. "Certainly someone there can give me a ballpark estimate so I have an idea before driving all the way out there and find out in the chair that it's several hundred dollars. Will you kindly take my number down, find out and call me back in 5?" At the tail end of the day I received a voicemail while teaching, "Sorry for calling you back so late. Because you're not a patient of ours . . . (WHAT!?!) and we didn't do the work, we can't guarantee it, so - we wish you good luck!" Click! Are you kidding me with this!? This office has my recent stats, x-rays, AND all the paperwork I took time to drive there and fill! AND I paid for panoramic x-rays - and yet they're still going to state that I'm not a PATIENT!?! Well, good grief, what makes someone a patient if none of that does!? You claim I'm not your patient - and I claim no patience with you! Not the place for me! Everyone deserves to work with well-mannered, non-egocentric, flexible and understanding specialists, and I'll stick with mine locally. It's not enough to have specialized expertise in any given arena, without the accompanying, great manners. Good luck to you and your office staff. Went in 3 times. Every time they caused a bigger issue that ended up costing more than what I was originally going in for. Called to see if they would take responsibility for the issue and they said they wouldn't. Another time, a surgery was canceled 3 days prior and couldn't be rescheduled for a month. Information given about certain procedures were not clear. ONE STAR (I live in Lindon UT, not California as listed): I think the professionals at Total Care Dental believe in their mission and that the care provided to me was competent. But I was never offered the full spectrum of other care options for any of the expensive treatments I received for tooth pain, wisdom tooth "cavitations," and somewhat low blood oxygen levels supposedly resulting in poor sleep and low energy. For my sensitive tooth problem: they replaced a crown before even mentioning very inexpensive cell salts. Replacing the crown didn't help at all but cost me $1200. It was only after the crown replacement that #2 cell salts were offered and proved to be very effective. Cost: under $20. This seems to violates the ethical mandate to offer "Informed Consent" of all treatment options at the outset, a fundamental ethical requirement of the American Dental Board. Even worse, my consistent blood oxygen levels of 93-94% triggered a conversation about how I could get that closer to 98-99% and have better rest and better energy (a persistent problem). The ONLY solution they offered was expensive NightLase treatments that involve using a laser beam on one's throat over four treatments to widen the airway. I had to pay for all four treatments up front, a total of $2400, and only after that did I have a detailed consultation, where I was shown tongue exercises and given a recommendation for Upper Cervical Chiropractic care for a possible misalignment of my top vertebrae (the Atlas bone). The tongue exercises provided better sleep after only one day. The Upper Cervical Chiropractic has been life changing (Ashleigh Street in Orem), but the first two NightLase treatments caused throat soreness that lasted for weeks, not the 24 hours I was told. The heat during the second treatment was intense and painful, but I was told "that's what it takes to be effective." After reading about this online, I found that it's fairly new and its long-term safety and effectiveness is still unknown. I cancelled the future treatments and received a refund for them. But the problem was that no contra-indications were described up front, no list of alternative treatments were given before I shelled out big bucks, all of which seem to me to amount again to a lack of "Informed Consent." I was also sold a Mouth Guard to open my airway without any discussion of pros and cons. After trying it for two nights, it set off the severe arthritis in both jaw joints (previously controlled by supplements, which I disclosed on my first visit) and I returned it. I did get a full refund for it, but that was after a detailed letter of protest was sent via registered mail. It took a call to their Business Manager to even shake loose a reply to that. The actions of the professional dentists at Total Care Dental appear to point towards a primary focus on "sales" and profit far ahead of health care, another violation of professional ethics. While that care wasn't completely lacking, it came after a big and unnecessary hit to my wallet. I spent $5300 I didn't need to and received $2600 in refunds - an expensive lesson! If you go to them, be sure to get all your options up front as well as the pros and cons of all proposed treatments. read more

Stay away from Total Care Dental if you are wise. They recommended extensive, invasive, and unnecessary future work to be done at a cost of $6000. After the initial appointment (just a visit - no work done) which cost $500, we let the girl know we wanted time to think on things before scheduling the future work. She then pressed us and asked what was keeping us from scheduling. She used hard sell tactics - a dental office?! Also, we saw Dr. Michelle Jorgensen at the initial appointment, and when her schedule was busy out a few months - the girl told us a different dentist could just do the work - someone we'd never even met? Were we to show up and let someone we'd never even met put us under anesthesia and do $6000 of invasive work. This was strange to us and concerning. We listened to our gut and there were several red flags. Would go elsewhere. read more

Very expensive, also insurance 'pehp' would not pay because they consider their methods "unreasonable" they do very poor work as compared with other dentists we've been to, a few fillings alone cost about $1000 here so buyer beware, I wish someone would tell me the costs involved but they don't do that they said, I'm assuming or they will never get any business. But I never. They waste a lot of time trying to be friendly when you just want to get on with your day, they didn't do the work that was asked of them and did things that were not wanted.... If you want to feel like royalty at the dentist, then go to Total Care Dental. Seriously, after hearing so many good things about them from my in-laws and husband, I switched dentists and I'm never going back. You walk in and they greet you with a smile and a Hi so-and-so! Wait time is very short. Office is clean, big, modern. They have 7 rooms and 2 dentists. A father and a daughter. They are very thorough and kind! The hygienists and assistants are awesome. Today the hygienist gave me a paper with a list of "comfort measure choices" and asked me what she could get for me. I picked a warm blanket. Last time I picked a movie to watch. (I've been a couple times lately because who knew when you have a baby they take all your calcium and nutrients and you get cavities??) At the end, you get a little tray with a warm washcloth to wipe your face in front of the mirror they pull down from the dentist light above the bed. And some breath mints. On your way out, they offer you a bottle of cold water and a cookie, if you'd like it. Man, it sure is fun to get pampered! I highly recommend this practice to anyone who wants to have a great experience at the dentist. read more

Dr. Coles is really good and will go into detail on what issues to expect, general costs, and how to make it work best. He'll also spot other dentists' shoddy work and let you know how severe of a problem it may be and help determine solutions. They also do the whole tv-in-ceiling thing. Sure, they could upgrade the TV's, add on Netflix, or get some wireless headsets with better battery life, but once you crank up the nitrous (they charge by the time, not the amount) who cares? read more

Everyone at this office has been incredible at treating me amazing and giving me the best care!! They squeezed me in for an emergency visit to diagnose if I had an infection or not (I did) so they got me in as soon as possible to get the tooth extracted. Even though it's not the best experience they made it so nice for me by giving me a blanket, movie to watch, and always checked in to make sure I wasn't in pain! They were genuinely concerned with my health and wellbeing and didn't try to over sell me. They also have so much new tech which puts them over the top as one of my favorite dentists ever! Be aware with your finances with them. They "quote" you--the prices are subject to change. You pay top dollar vs. ordinary dentists for the few treatments or suggestions that are more "holistic" than traditional dentistry. I thought the dentists were completely fine, and very friendly. We were quoted at a certain price by Cynda and the whole staff kept us smiling. We were never put in pain or danger by bad dentistry. What we were terribly disappointed with was the business side--you need to be absolutely certain about what you are being charged for and what you are required to pay. They gave us a quote, but it ended up being several hundred dollars more after they charged insurance. This was a problem, since recently we had a baby and it spent time in the NICU. As we fought the bill, feeling like we had already settled and they came back and charged us more, they threatened collections. When we tried to get a little leeway on the charges with our NICU bills accumulating, they were 100% unsympathetic or flexible. We are not suing them and we paid our bill, but we will not be coming back. Nearly half a grand was far too much of "sliding" price for us to take. read more
