The bread is slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The meats and cheeses could be sliced a little thinner but are overall good. Typically love Sack O Subs but tonight we ordered a Margarita pizza and honestly it was awful. Just some very melted mozzarella with about 12 small cubes of tomato on the entire pie. Another friend ordered one slice of plain pizza, also cold. And it turns out you have to go to a separate window and they didn't make her aware of that. Would have been nice to know. We did place a big order on Friday night, two kids meals, 7 hoagies and at the end the food was good but the coordination of the food was awful. They told my son in law his order was ready and when he got home 1/2 the food wasn't there. He went back and had to wait a second time for them to prepare the rest of the food. I finally got someone on phone said they are swamped and it is going out..well 5 mins to 9 it arrives store closed at 9 and it's cold, like really cold and burned (see pictures)to point where you could not eat the pizza ..and I loved this place . We use to order from here all the time. Tonight might be the last time. We order a very small order for delivery only 2 things. We were told 45-60 mins. After about 1.5 hrs we called to ask where is our food. We were told that it's on its way. At the 2 hr mark it was delivered. It was cold!! All of it. We live just over a block away. So it should not be cold if it just left. No idea where it was sitting for it get that cold. Plus the quality was no where near as good as in the past. It was not horrible but not where it should be. I hate to say it, because Sacko's has been an institution for our family each summer, but the quality has declined recently. The meatball parm hoagies are now dry and flavorless. Maybe I caught them on a bad night. I arrived, ordered a cheese steak, paid, they took my name. At the same time my wife is 2 blocks up the street getting seafood. Nobody told me how long it would be so I sat outside with my son and waited, and waited... eventually I went in to check. At the same time, my wife texts me she has her sea food meal ready and if she should wait there or come to me (I dropped her off and had the car with me). I waited for the girl to ring up the gentleman in front of me and eventually she acknowledged me, disappeared and handed me my sandwich all bagged up. Wasn't sure what the process was, but I wondered if anyone would have eventually called my name, or if I came back in the store 5 mins earlier... if I could have left sooner. My wife at this time was waiting at my car with her hot sea food after walking 2 blocks to get to me. Maybe if they weren't playing with their cell phones the process would have gone a lot smoother. Ok, now to the food. The thing that had me sold on a cheesesteak was the menu mentioned 1/3 lb of meat. While I didn't get out a scale, the sandwich was thin. The onions were over cooked (black and stringy) and the roll definitely had that "end of the day" staleness to it. I ordered a large order on the phone for pickup and was told 30 minutes. I waited 40 minutes and then stood in a long line with everyone complaining about how bad the pick up service has always been. Sack O'Subs has hands down, the BEST meatball sub I've ever had! Their cheese fries are pretty delicious as well. Parking here is horrendous in the summer so if you can bike/walk here, do it. I would definitely miss on the cheesesteaks however they have a pretty delicious buffalo chicken steak. Also the 1/2 size is HUGEE (probably the same size or larger then wawa's largest sub size). We are Friday night regulars during the summer season. Delivery service is fast and the food is hot on arrival. All of the food is good. We especially enjoy the pizza, chicken salad and veal parm sandwich. I don't love the cheese steak, I find the meat a little tough and I prefer when its chopped.
