Updating my review from a few years ago after trying a few more things from Uncle Oogie's. The fried eggplant and prosciutto sandwich is incredibly good--crispy thin eggplant, fresh mozzarella, and prosciutto on a top-quality Italian roll. The Old Italian pizza still wasn't my favorite (the cheese is packed on too thick and crisps up too much) but some of their other pies, like the valano with fresh plum tomatoes, were much better. read more

June 23 eat in, June 24 take out. - 2 in and four at the house. My wife and I stopped in for a late evening cheesteak hoagie and I got a 'vegan cheesteak' . Hers was pretty good although at 9 pm maybe the rolls were a little aged/stale. My vegan cheesteak was interesting with a faux steak and the grated parmesan cheese was a bit dry and powdery. I would have liked a more 'sliced' or melted cashew cheese or some other melted product. The buffalo pizza and the white pizza we got for take out the next night were both AWESOME!!!!!! bravo. nice job. read more

I wasn't expecting much from Uncle Oogie's, no reason other than I haven't been too impressed with much of the pizza the shore has to offer. I'm glad we tried it though, they were good. We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza and their "Devils Blend Fries". We did delivery and they were fairly quick getting to us. First glance, the pizza looked great and the fries looked good as well. I was disappointed at first when I saw the fries were in styrofoam but somehow they did not get soggy. The pizza dough had flavor which I'm assuming is because they ferment. They're making dough ahead of time and letting nature do its thing. That is always the best way for pizza. The sauce was slightly sweet with a decent amount of oregano throughout. A very good bite all in all. The crust was actually thicker than I expected, it wasn't a bad thing and I really enjoy pizza that can hold up without being too crispy. The one think I will say is that it seemed the grease pooled towards the center of the dough on the bottom. The fries were good too and their description: "they're hot but not too hot" is accurate for most. For me, I thought they should've been a lot hotter but I'm sure for the masses they have a kick. Great pizza, fries and mozzarella sticks. Our waitress was friendly and quick. We sat outside and enjoyed the breezy summer evening.

3 stars doesn't seem fair, but maybe we caught them on a good day. We were served by very friendly staff and the pizza was great - I had a mushroom slice and my husband had white pizza with broccoli. Was in Sea Isle last weekend visiting family. Decided to order lunch for pick up so we could watch the Eagles game at the condo. We all checked out the menu online and then we called to place the order. Order was ready in 20 minutes like they told us. We ordered four steak sandwiches and a pizza. Everything was good. There are other places in Sea Idle whose portions are beyond fair for same price. Because a few slices of pizza were eaten by adult in group they would not replace even when asked for a smaller one and they could have the other back. Called to order a few pizzas on a Saturday evening in June. We opted for curbside pickup which was very convenient and easy. For curbside they text when your order is ready. They ask that you don't pull into the curbside pickup parking spots until you receive your text. Acme shares the same parking lot, so we were able to go grab a few items while we waited for the text. Within a minute of pulling into a spot someone came out to ask for our order number, took care of our payment, and then got our pizza. Pizza was OK. Not the best, and not the worst. The chicken bacon ranch would have been a lot better if it was just bacon ranch without the chicken. The chicken was just plain and didn't taste great on the pizza. The Works pizza was good. The crust on both the pizzas was pretty yummy. I'd try them again, but would try some other pizzas or something else on the menu. read more

I do Uber from Cape May, to Atlantic City, and Uncle Oogie's is my preferred pizza joint. They have very nice indoor seating, outdoor deck seating, takeout, and delivery service. Whatever your mood is, they got you covered. Their staff is friendly, energetic, and good at what they do. Saying anyone's pizza is "The Best" is always a matter of personal opinion, but I hang out with 6 other UBER drivers, and all of us will drive 30 minutes out of the way to eat Lunch or Dinner here. That has to tell you something about the quality here. The prices are very reasonable, being a little less than other places that don't match the level of quality and service they have here. read more

Heard a lot about this place and decided to give it a try! I'm gluten free, so I was excited to find lots of gluten free options. I opted for the Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak and the rest do my group shared a pepperoni pizza and cheese fries. The ordering style is fast dining- order at the counter and pick up when they call your name. The space was not crazy clean, but that's almost expected because of the dining style. A lot of tables left trash behind (its self clean up) and it was not picked up by the staff. There are single stall bathrooms which were up to standard. The Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak on GF bread was honestly a bit disappointing. It was huge(which I appreciate considering the $2 up charge). There wasn't cheese on it and it seemed more like chopped up lunch meat. The rest of my group raved about their cheese fries. They said the pizza was decent, a bit on the greasy side, but the flavor and crust were on point. When I called back they told me to keep the other food and that my order and delivered my correct order within ten minutes. This used to be our go to for pizza in Sea Isle, but they seem to be incapable of getting a simple order correct. They do have good pizza, but the customer service is horrible. Tonight, we ordered 3 pizzas to the tune of 70+ dollars. We got home and noticed they put blue cheese on our Buffalo chicken pizza which we ordered it without and only on the side since some people in our group don't like blue cheese. Our slip even said no blue cheese on pizza, only on the side. We called them to let them know. Now if Uncle Oogies had good customer service they would say "keep the wrong pizza and we will deliver you a new one." Instead, they tell us to come back out to pick up a new pizza. It is Memorial Day weekend and it is a pain with losing parking spots to go out in Sea Isle. We went back to get the new pizza and they actually even demanded the original pizza back. It is unsanitary to think they may be serving a pizza to customers that was opened and in our home. Then, we saw that the corrected pizza didn't have the blue cheese on the side. We asked and they got us the side of blue cheese. Once we got home the second time, we realized the side they gave us which was supposed to be blue cheese was ranch. At this point, we just wanted to eat. This was far from the first time they have gotten our order wrong. But, this time was the most egregious. Food was good, but I don't recommend delivery. I was told "within the hour" when I called, but it took nearly an hour and a half to get our food. This was a Wednesday evening, not a weekend. I had to call twice to follow up before our food arrived. I called after an hour and was told that "the driver left with [my] order" and it would arrive "shortly." I had to call again 20 minutes later because our order still hadn't arrived. Again, I was just told that the food would arrive "shortly." Went with the family and kids for lunch today. We had 5 kids with us aged 1-6. Not many options for kids besides chicken fingers, fries and pizza. Pizza was about a 6 on scale of 1-10. Hamburger was plain and seemed to be just a frozen patty. BUTy buffalo salad was pretty solid. Chunky blue cheese, ice berg lettuce, crunchy chicken, tomatoes and crunchy strips. There could have been more chicken, but I used one of the kids chicken fingers to fulfill that gap. We love the extensive menu with lots of veggie and vegan options - for we Californians and New York family, too. Delicious veggie boli balls were my favorite! We stopped in before we could check into our rental for the week. This is located in a busy area with the only grocery store and pharmacy. Be ready to search a little while for parking. I got the wrap with avocado, chicken and bacon and my husband got a turkey club. This place was nice for a quick lunch. It was busy when we stopped in. You can sit and dine in or go to the counter and order Togo. I did see they even deliver to the beach. The food in general was good and decently priced. No changing tables in this place. Guess it's my fault for not checking the reviews but not many places with vegan options in the area. Not only did they get my order all wrong. The vegan steaks were a sloppy soggy mess. They put maybe 2 little peppers and onions on the cheese steak. Forgot to put cheese on it. Charged me extra for cheese. The wings were inedible. I picked everything up immediately after ordering so the sogginess was not because of that. Skip this place and go ANYWHERE else. Ordered an Italian supreme and a tuna hoagie tonight. Well there was nothing "supreme" about this Italian hoagie. It is so light that its disgraceful. There is hardly any meat on it and one piece of crumbled cheese. The tuna is light on tuna and stuffed with lettuce and tomato. I'm not sure if this is normal procedures over at Oogies, but we aren't inpressed. I could have made better sandwiches at home with my eyes closed. I know that Oogies specializes in pizza, and their "old Italian" is pretty great, so maybe they should get out of the crappy sandwich business and stick to pizza. read more
