When I want to be boujee at the super market, there is the whole foods co op market. They have food and smoothies and I love it. . Wine place next to temple on s street called revolution has great happy hour and dinner service or brunch on the weekends too. One of my favorite spots near this station. . This station also takes me to work and state fair. Helps me save money on parking at the fair so no hate and love to love this station. . One of My Most Utilized Stops…read more SITREP This is a stop I make at least a few times a week. THE SETUP Sandwiched between 29th and 30th Streets along what would be R Street, the 29th Street Station is fortuitously covered by the overpass of Business 80, so there is at least a modicum of protection from the overhead elements. MY DESTINATIONS Even though not at all near my work nor my home, it IS the closest stop to my P.O.Box at the Ft. Sutter Post Office on Alhambra, and it is also the most convenient connection for me to jump on the Route 67 or 68 Buses that take me to my stops at the Arden Fair Mall or my medical appointments at the Kaiser facility on Morse. THE FARE Stars off against the general system practice of not allowing validated passes used for light-rail to be used for the buses as well at this station (or any station). This is where Sacramento Regional Transit has no customer service consideration for it's clientele in that they force payment for every single segment of travel. "Shame on you." THE LOWDOWN A decent example of a fairly nice station, but part of an overall expensive yet deficient transit system.

This is my go to tram station when I am riding the SACRT tram…read more Back in 2016 I was a frequent visitor to Sacramento and this station is my point of connection to the Howe and Arden area. I first came here in 2006 when I wanted to check out the 916 because I never got the chance in the fourth grade. My mum at the time was a broke college student. I am glad to have come here a few times because this tram station is pretty much safe. If you look around, its just a quiet neighborhood that has very little foot traffic and full of homes. Please remember if you are not continuing to the Northern Highlands please get off here or at Royal Oak so you can go to the shopping area down the street. This is a good place to catch the 23 bus which drives directly to Arden Fair and the surrounding shopping centers.

There aren't many businesses nearby (it's mostly a residential area), which is probably why it's not very busy. There's not much to see here. It's a relatively short walk from 16th street, though, so, when I have enough time, I'll sometimes walk here just to get away from all the commotion. Recently, someone graffitied a pink panther with a cigarette in his mouth near the station, with the caption, "I love crime." I personally considered it free public art, and was a huge fan. When I noticed that it had been painted over (just days after I posted a picture on Yelp-- it's almost as if SacRT reads their reviews), my heart actually dropped a little bit. SacRT covering up the only art this station has ever seen reminded me of how Transport for London painted over some of Banksy's work. Obviously, I understand that "I love crime" is not the message that SacRT wants to promote, but this station is so plain, ugly and cold-looking. They didn't even match the paint to the rest of the wall, so now there are huge ugly gray blocks where there once was a cute pink panther. Since SacRT is so opposed to unapproved street murals, they should strongly consider bringing in some Wide Open Walls artists beautify this station. Rest in peace, crime-loving cat.

We visited the area for 3 days and rented a compact car from Enterprise…read more We loved that there was no line at the counter after we took the airport shuttle there. The gentleman who rented us the car was great. Knowledgeable, professional and very pleasant. I was thrilled to have a choice and picked a Toyota Corolla. We've been driving Toyotas for the last twenty years and have a late model ourselves. This made knowing how to use it much easier. Most cars these days are not that intuitive to use, especially the Lidar cruise control, etc. We were also very pleased to connect my iPhone to AirPlay and have our GPS app on the screen. We used it the whole time we were driving around and it makes a trip to an unfamiliar area much more pleasant. The car was a 2026, with only 6k miles on it, it still had a little of the new car smell. It was also sparkling clean, which isn't always the case when you rent. I purposely chose Enterprise because of previous good experiences with the company in other locations. I'm certainly going to choose them again when I travel.
